I rebooted my BB today and after it was switched on SIM not allowed :3 appeared on my screen top!I am just not able to receive any phone calls or texts.. But my BBM is still working!

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk so a while ago my blackberry ended up accidentally underneath the big box part of a laptop charger thing don't know what that part is called but yea, it was under that for less then a minute. The screen went funny and had 2 lines randomly down 1 side. I did a battery pull etc but everytime I did it progressivly got worse. In the space of around a week to 2 weeks it went from 2 lines to multiple lines to eventually a pure White screen. Is this fixable? Do I just need to replace the screen?

Initially there was also a red asterisk on the gmail icon, but there are no emails saved, no messages unread or saved anywhere. I took it to the local Verizon store, they looked at it for an hour and got nowhere. I had already removed the battery are reinstalled it, but the thing is still there.

From yesterday an 'icon' appeared on my front screen - it is similar in appearance to the twitter icon but blurred, facing the opposite way and has a 1 by the side of it constantly. I have read all my twitter messages, I have carried out the security measures I can think of but that's not to say I have done everything! On my travels through the phone it would appear I did not have encryption enabled or other such settings. I've tried a battery pull which hasn't worked. The Apps I've got loaded are Twitter, Facebook, Google Maps, Bejeweled & Accuweather.

I swiped to unlock and then another icon appeared on the launcher home screen...
I already had one shortcut to iobd2 there but another appeared as I unlocked. It's got a larger icon!?
If I long press and look at app info, its the same app info.
If I go to the app drawer and add the app again, it adds it as a small icon, like the original one.

I see a lot of publicity pics of the Tour with the bridge splash screen shown, thought I'd like it for a background pic...(My splash screen is the Verizon check from the "Verizon Zen" theme).I have a custom background pic for my Tour, several actually, but was wondering how to get the bridge pic from the "Precision Zen" theme so I could use it as a background pic..Also - Is it possible to "save" and restore a loaded ROM theme??? Like, if I had the AT&T or T-Mobile "Zen" theme, could I load it into my Verizon Tour??? And if I could find a like-minded soul who wanted to swap Tour themes (Verizon, Rogers, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc), how would I swap or add a branded theme?
Just to see the bug-eyed look on my VWZ store tech the next time I pull out my VWZ Tour and ask her a question.
Is there any way to change the text messaging screen to look like the blackberry messenger screen? I have the tour and I have seen this on the storm.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy blackberry storm 2 (9550) recently just took a splash of water and as you all might now, water can easily get in due to the spaces bordering the screen. So far my blackberry is working perfectly fine despite one major thing, the browser. It shows that I am connected to my home network, though when I try to load a page it shows the error message, "Unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later." My guess is that the water effected the circuit board?

I assumed that I would be able to remove lock screen security during the times when I don't need to create a hotspot. But now it will not let me disable the security. I even uninstalled foxfi and restarted the phone but the option to disable is still greyed out. What do I need to do?

Now, nobody seems to know of any solutions to this problem. I know it is the carriers that are at fault, but I just want to know if it is *possible* to unlock my bootloader. If not, I will have to return this device for one that is more developer friendly.
