View 9 RepliesI am trying to change my email settings as i changed my email account. When i go to "Setup", "Email Accounts", then click on "Internet Mail Account", it simply circulates back to "Email Accounts". It keeps doing this repeatedly. I have done a soft and hard reset (by removing battery) and have updated software but nothing seems to help.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. It does provide instructions on how to link to the Blackberry but it doens't work for the Torch because the option doesn't exist.

where is the setting for controlling the auto signature on outgoing email? Every email that I send adds my name at the bottom. Can I turn that off/on or change the signature?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have got myself a blackberry and have been told by t-mobile UK that I am on a BIS account plan. I have set up my gmail email and emails come through nearly instantly. With my work emails I am not getting them instantly. Work does have a BES server and can give me a password to access their server but T-Mobile are using my webmail URL to connect me to the emails.
1) is this correct
2) Can we get rid of the time lag/delay in receiving emails from my work email address so it is more instant?
Anyone else having problems? When i view an email
1. images are not automatically appearing (need to click get images)
2. the HTML emails are appearing too wide. I have to scroll to the right to see the other half of the email.
After a short time on an Android device (which I quickly got rid of) I am now back on a BlackBerry. I used to have a Bold, now I have a Torch.Now the problem is the following: on the Bold I had one BES email (I am the IT Manager of my company) and three BIS accounts (private mails).I moved the BES account on the Torch, no problem, but the three BIS accounts do not move for some reason.
I go to Setup=>Email accounts and the device reports correctly that "A new BlackBerry device has been detected. you mustmove email account(s) to resume email delivery to your BlackBerry device. Email delivery to your old device has been stopped."Following the list of three email accounts I want on the Torch.
I click "Move" and for any single email I have a screen that says "Device change successful. Validate your email account"I type email password for each account, click "continue", receive the message "Your password has been successfully validated.", click OK and exit setup and nothing happens.I still have the BES account but there is no trace of the three BIS accounts.I go back to Setup and the procedure starts again from the beginning.I am on Vodafone UK and the three email accounts are on Apple MobileMe (@me.com)
I have a new BES email so I had to wipe my blackberry account. How do I transfer my browser bookmarks from my old BES email? I backed up my blackberry before wiping and I have tried to restore just the browser bookmarks using the device restore select device data and settings, but the bookmarks don't come back.

I am connected to my SP, I have a data plan,I am up to date on payment yet, I do not have the option to connect to a personal email only an enterprise account.Connecting to an SP should not be the only option as through the wireless I should be able to get emails as well so I do not accept a previous reply that it is down to the SP provider.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI did a wipe/ restore factory settings hard reset this morning, to try to get back BB maps app which has vanished. I have backed up onto desktop. Although the devise has been wiped clean my old email addresses are still showing in the set up and when I try to imput passwords and verify a message comes up saying The session cannot continue, please log in again. It gives me no option to delete or set up new email accounts and now I cannot send or receive. Done two more wipes and rebooted since but the email addresses are always there and I can't do anything with them.

Heres my problem when I go to set up my email it only give me a BES option and I don't see any option for BIS.
Any way I can get this to show up? I tried to use the universal search and it popped up but when I tried to click on it nothing would happen.
i can't setup my email on my blackberry torch. I got it from my buddy who is with telus so I got it unlocked so I can use it on Rogers. I went through them to get hooked up with the blackberry plan and everything but now when I want to setup my email it won't let me. It will only take me to the internet mail or enterprise mail section when I click on internet mail it will just go back to the main setup page WTF?

The first time I tried to setup my Email, I put in my Email and started the setup, but, by mistake, I canceled the setup in the middle of the proccess. Since then, whenever I try to set it up again, I go to "setup" and click on "Email Accounts" but its simply does not open no matter how many times i click. I tried rebooting multible times and it still doesn't work.
My home screen has an e-mail icon that will not go away. It says that I have one unread e-mail message. When I open it, I do not have any unread messages. Anyone know how to make the icon go away.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wonder whether this is a coincidence: I just activated access to my gmail box on my BB Torch, in addition to the enterprise email that's be working on the device all along. While I can send/receive from either box, I just discovered that when I hit the Menu key in either box and scroll down to Options, and try to click on it, I get nothing. I seem to remember that I used to define several email preferences using this function.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a torch and recently I changed my password of my gmail account, therefore I am asked to update the password via email set up application. I have done this before and everything works well.
This time, it prompts an update and will not proceed without updating. It requests to install version 6.11.0324.1701 to replace my 6.0.0 version and in the mean time, it prompts a message: if "com.rim.bis.client" contains a different version of module "net_rim_bis_client", which is also used by "Email Setup Application". If you proceed, "Email setup up application" may cease to function property. Proceed? I proceeded once and it basically gave me the white screen "Application Error" page when I reboot so I have to reload my entire phone.
My dilemma is, there is no way to bypass this process however my email is not working.
I have had my Torch for about 1.5 years and have had no problems with it til today I stopped receiving emails on my phone from my yahoo and ymail accounts. I haven't changed anything in my settings and tried restarting my phone with a hard restart but to no avail.

I am still receiving them to my Virgin media account on my laptop but can't access them on my Blackberry, My network provider is Vodafone UK and I have spent literally hours (over several days) on the phone with them trying to rectify this. They have disconnected and reconnected me goodness knows how many times and as far as they can see there is no fault. The only e-mails I receive are from the Activation Server when they do this. Nothing else has come through. They have finally concluded that the fault must be on the Blackberry Server
