View 2 RepliesI've bought and set up my new Bold 9900 yesterday. Everything seems to be working fine, but email reception shows me some problems. I'm receiving all my messages they are not being shown to full extent though. I have the following settings:
- Message Display and Actions, Auto More checked
- Email Preferences: Enable HTML checked, Download images automatically checked, confirm external image download not checked
Now, just for example I receive the "I can has cheezburger" newsletter which is about 45 kB and includes links to external pictures. The Bold doesn't load the pictures and it truncates the message and shows "Truncated 15397 bytes". "More", "more all" doesn't load the rest of the message.
I've had a 9800 with Rogers since June and everything was great until this morning, every email I receive is "Message truncated due to size" ... now before you start copy pasting the 5mb or 8mb stuff, these email are plain text, 2kb - 45 kb....
I even sent myself a plain text email with "test" as a subject and "test" in the body and still the same issue.
I sent my shift rota on a email from my PC at work, Excel file, but my Blackberry would not receive the attachment. Said something about 'message truncated'. Total message was 8Mb. How can I stop this happening again. It hasn't happened on my other, non Blackberry phones?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy email was hacked so I set a new password and added security questions. All good there. But email messages are not being delivered to my blackberry until I validate the new password on BlackBerry Internet Service. I cannot seem to access the BlackBerry Internet Service - on my device, under SetUp, Email Accounts, Internet Mail Account it asks for my User name and Password. I cannot find that nor can I find a way to create one - I've tried searching the BlackBerry site as well as my wireless provider (AT&T) site, but to no avail.
View 3 Replies View RelatedLast week when he got the phone I added a Hotmail account and 3 of his business POP3 accounts on to the phone and they seemed to work fine. Each account appeared as icons on the home screen and when I sent test messages to each they were successfuly received with the little star signalling a new email on the respective icon. Then, when tapping each account's icon I'd be taken to the inbox for that account. Went to his place this evening and it's gone a bit weird! When clicking on any of the email account icons I get taken to the 'messages' folder which only contains text messages. There's no way of accessing the emails in any of his 4 email accounts. When a new email comes in now there is a notification at the top of the screen near the time and that's the only way to view an email. No way of accessing all existing emails.

I can received AOL and other emails on my BB w/o any problem. When I send an email from the BB - it sends - yet it never reaches the recipients.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt seems as if they are "hiding" somewhere (my hotmail mail account), because I keep getting emails in my "messages" folder, but I don't see my email folder anymore. Also, when I go to setup/email accounts and click on the icon, it will either freeze on me, or say no accounts have been set up.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to setup a blackberry so that the e-mail in NOT truncated no matter how long the e-mail may be? or at the very least increase the amount of data shown before it gets truncated?
and the 2nd part to the question is, is there a way to download larger attachments in e-mails?
My run workouts are being truncated, when I actually perform my run the display shows correctly but when I end my workout my information is truncated. Example went on a 7mile run everything displayed correctly but when I ended my workout the results show only 5.19 miles of my run.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am wanting to know is there a way to delete multiple email messages or normal messages for that matter at one time.If i receive like 20 emails, do I really need to delete each one individually? As it's major painful. Even my old dilapidated cell phone could delete mutiple messages at once.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to be able to check my email thru the GMail application; get notifications for my Yahoo Messenger, missed calls, voicemails, and SMS Text and MMS messages thru the BlackBerry Messages app; and my Gmail calendar thru the BlackBerry Calendar app.
I can't figure out how to make my email NOT appear in Messages. So, I created a dummy email account that gets no email and set that up as the default email account. Now I get my real email thru the Gmail app, and all the other notifications thru Messages (and no emails in there). Great, but the Calendar app won't work with my Gmail account because it only wants to connect to the dummy gmail account and to Facebook. I don't want Facebook to touch my calendar, and I have set it as such in the Facebook App options, but it still does. Using Google Sync, I managed to get my real calendar to show up in the Calendar as Default. When I run the sync, the appointments I created in the online Gmail calendar appear in the Calendar as being on the Facebook calendar.
From the Calendar, I can not create appointments for my real Gmail account, only for my dummy account and for Facebook. If I delete the appointments from the Facebook calendar, then after syncing it deletes the appointments from my online Gmail calendar. I think what I need to know boils down to "how can I prevent email from appearing in Messages?". If I can figure that out, then I can delete the dummy account and set up the email as my real account and then the calendar should work correctly.
My text messages are switching to email messages. How do I make them text messages once again?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI used a Storm for the last 30 days, and had 3 distinct and separate icons:
Messages - catchall for everything
Desktop email icon
2nd/personal email icon
However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. It does provide instructions on how to link to the Blackberry but it doens't work for the Torch because the option doesn't exist.
(Instructions)To set up the BlackBerry's email client with Google Apps email (IMAP), just follow these steps:

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have got myself a blackberry and have been told by t-mobile UK that I am on a BIS account plan. I have set up my gmail email and emails come through nearly instantly. With my work emails I am not getting them instantly. Work does have a BES server and can give me a password to access their server but T-Mobile are using my webmail URL to connect me to the emails.
1) is this correct
2) Can we get rid of the time lag/delay in receiving emails from my work email address so it is more instant?
