Two days ago, I noticed that my torch doesnt get anything stronger than "egde" it used to always to up to "EDGE" since its unlcoked and am using with Tmobile but i can't use BBM (even with WiFi), and can only use the browser with WiFi.I have done a hard reset over and over again but its still on "edge"

The I phone 4 would always switch to edge in my living room when the 3g signal was low however my 4s just seems to stay at 1 bar and say "searching" when 3g signal has gone whearas my 4 would go straight to edge. I have only ever seen my 4s switch to edge once and when it does I get 4 bars! at home its ok as I can switch the wifi on however when I am at work etc and take the phone out of my pocket its almost always "searching"? just wondering if this is common for a 4s not to use edge or is there something wrong with my phone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAlways maintained a very strong 3g signal, 5 bars always no matter where I was. The last 3 or 4 days my signal started dropping like crazy to EDGE - edge - to gps or whatever to no signal. Did everything to try and fix it. Called T-Mobile about the problem and they said no problem we are sending you a new 9700. I will have it Wednesday afternoon. I asked if it will be a new one or refurbished, she said a new one. You can't beat that with a stick. They have the best customer service out of all the carriers. Just wanted to tell my recent experience with my carrier.

Before the update the sound was really balanced, althought wasnt loud enoght in my opinion, but it was ok.
It slipped out of a bag while it was being picked up. I'd say about 1 foot of the ground and he said that its suppose to be stronger than plastic. My 3G was dropped about 20 times and only got some scratches, ever nothing like this. Apple said $200 to fix it

When I going from one area to another area of my home.
The first wifi signal is become weak, but there is existing another wifi signal is stronger than first place.
In this case, my iPhone is keep using previous wifi signal.
So, is there a way that automatically switching from weak wifi signal to the stronger one?

I purchased an used blackberry bold 9700 (locked to t-mobile) I recieved and unlock code and It has worked. I now have my ATT sim card inside the phone. It allows me to sms and browse the internet, make phone calls etc. But at the top it says "edge". However it does not let me setup an email it says "your device had a problem connecting to the server" ... Also It does not display the BB app world, or let me download any apps. Can somebody please help me so I can use the blackberry the way it was intended. As another note I recieve a text message from +1121611611 stating "122 Error Invalid Number. Please resend using valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activate t=6"..

1. Sometimes when typing SMS, the cursor will keep moving backwards and hang there (sounding tut tut tut... continuously and unstoppable)
2. Sometimes the vibration on touching the screen will suddenly become stronger than normal, like suddenly Zeeek, zek, zek rather than normal zek, zek, zek~
I am not sure whether it is common in V50 firmware or it happens only to my specific phone.

My problem is my phone shows full signal strength and I can't receive not make calls nor messages. I tried to call the service provider for any network problems and they said no problems at all. View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a Torch one week ago. Unfortunately, I will return it due to a weak signal. I had a Tour before and although I live in a rural area, my Tour rarely dropped a call and the internet worked well even with only 1 or 2 bars. When I brought home my new Torch I was pleased at frequently SEEING 2 or 3 bars AND usually seeing 3G. Then, when I started using the phone, what a far cry the reality was from bars. Even my carrier advised me to get the Bold because a customer had already called reporting a weak signal with her nrw Torch and would be returning it. I have since searched on the internet and found others with the same issue.The only conclusion I can come to is the coverage signal strength reported is incorrect. Related to a weak signal is having less than 5 hours battery with no use, just having the phone on. I have turned off the GPS tp stop the battery drain but see no improvement.I would also comment on a less than clear sound quality as well.

2G Signal not working.I have had my BB Torch Since November last year, I have been working away from home alot and never had any problems with signal. It has always been on 3G set up on my phone.Due to a new little family member i have had time off from my work and been staying with my family, I have noticed that the signal in my house on 3G is not great. I switched it over to 2G on my handset and noticed it gets NO SIGNAL at all. I went out side and still the same no signal on 2G but soon as i change it over to 3G its fine.In the past i have had the Bold 9000 and it was set up on 2G & 3G so it would change over to which is stronger.I got my old bold out and have tried my sim in it and it works on 2G with no problems.Is there a fault in the torch with 2G signals?
My torch 9800 is always displaying sos. I have tried a new sim card, tried rebooting it and manual signal search but nothing work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.
