BB Torch :: Email Accounts Doesn't Open?
May 17, 2011I updated the email accounts and since then I can't open it from the setup menu. I changed the password of my work email so I need to change my it in the login information.

View 9 RepliesMy email app. stopped working. It doesn't open any accounts. It used to but just opens up a blank screen. Also Safari doesn't open up anything either, but used to.

I've changed my password on my email account through my laptop and for some reason I can't open the email accounts section of the setup menu on my Blackberry torch in order to update my account details.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am using BB Torch 9800, the problem which I am facing is when I am trying to open the Email Accounts under Setup, I am unable to open this. I have successfully created my BB Account onto the Carrier Site and added the Email IDs these are reflected onto the device but as I am unable to open Email Accounts under Setup I am unable to Edit or Delete the Email Accounts which I don't won't on this Handle. Every time the Modifications have to be done by going to the Carrier website.

View 5 Replies View RelatedRecently switched out a blackberry torch for another blackberry torch. So I did the set up but my email won't set up. I touch "Email Set-Up" and it states a new device has been detected. Move your email accounts to receive email on my new device. I'll need to type in my password and at least one account needs to be moved. Then I touch "Move Email Accounts" type in my password and touch continue, it states my password has been successfully validated, but I still cannot receive or send emails. I did a battery pull, sent my service books, and register my phone! I don't have a back up of my account.

Prior to upgrading my OS to 6.0, the sender would automatically default to the email account I am composing my email from. After the upgrade, now I have to manually select the email address from the "Send Using" drop-down. It defaults to [Default] and not hello@hotmail.com. This is just an added step that is tedious when I am sending out emails from different accounts.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wiped my phone (don't ask!) and although most previous set ups were still there and reactivatable (if that's a word) I can't get my email settings back. Both email accounts are there, but when I try to verify I get the message ' Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again.' I do not have the option available to delete the accounts and start again either - so completely stuck. I am using the correct passwords for the email accounts.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch on which I currently have 4 seperate e mail accounts. I travel fairly frequently between 3 countries each of which I have a local sim card for and a BB data plan. Normally when I travel and switch the sin card I simply enter setup select e mail and enter the appropriate password for each of my accounts then hit "activate" This has always worked perfectly. I have just changed my sim and once again all my e mail accounts are listed. However after entering all the passwords the activate button will not repsond and indeed is shaded as if it is unavailable. If I select verify for any of the passwords I get a message "Sorry, unable to continue your session. log in again" I have rebooted the phone numerous times with no difference.

I upgraded my Blackberry Torch earlier today (13:51hrs) only to find that all my email accounts have stopped working. They will not verify even though he account passwords I am using are correct, and the mobile will not let me delete or add any new ones. is my only option to completely factory default and start from scratch as i can not find a way to remove the "dodgy code" from my now useless

Contacts are auto-sync and now I have the same contact twice although in the "setting" "setup" I have untick the sync contact box I just do not understand why does that happen. I have use blackberry before but none of these happen this is so un-cool!

Needless to say it has my company email account on it and I've also just added my personal email account to it as well. In the 3 weeks since I first got the phone I've had only the corporate email account active and have thus become dependent on the New Message notifier icon at the top of the home screen.
When I see 1 or more new messages I no longer have any idea if it is a work email or a personal one. Any way to change the notifier icon for my personal email account so at a glance I can see how many items I have for either account. I know I could just turn off the notifier function for the personal account which would remove it from that notification area, but I'd really prefer not to do that, I just want some ability to tell the two apart at a glance.
When I go to activate my emails (4) and hit the Verify button. It loads to a new screen and says "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again." I have done that about 10 times and isn't working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFrom time to time, I experience that my Xperia X10 does not automatically sync e-mail accounts (using the supplied/standard e-mail application). I've set up a number of e-mail acocunts (6) with different update rates ranging from 15 to 60 minutes. I can go in to one of the accounts, whereby it syncs and I can see that I have received a number of new e-mails (for a period more than 6-12 hours, without receiving any type of notification.
This is really annoying since I miss important emails. What can be done to ensure that they sync automatically and that I receive notifications?
I go to my jobs email and it shows that I have an attachment, but it does not show a link to open it or anything? Do you know if there is anything I can do to see my email?

Previously it had worked OK just more recently the issue has occurred for no reason I can particularly specify.Consequently I cannot change any of my email settings (Signature, views etc) which is getting inconvenient now!I am using a work enterprise (BES) activated phone and have tried usual tricks i.e. Battery removal, software updates etc.

I was able to open an email setup confirmation from Blackberry but that is it. In addition I cannot surf the web or connect to the web. Verizon told me a defective phone but all else seems to work fine.Could it be a firmwear upgrade?
