BB Torch :: Customize Email's Accounts Icons On 9800?

I've got a new Blackberry Torch 9800 that was issued to me by my company. Needless to say it has my company email account on it and I've also just added my personal email account to it as well. In the 3 weeks since I first got the phone I've had only the corporate email account active and have thus become dependent on the New Message notifier icon at the top of the home screen.
When I see 1 or more new messages I no longer have any idea if it is a work email or a personal one. Any way to change the notifier icon for my personal email account so at a glance I can see how many items I have for either account. I know I could just turn off the notifier function for the personal account which would remove it from that notification area, but I'd really prefer not to do that, I just want some ability to tell the two apart at a glance.
I am using BB Torch 9800, the problem which I am facing is when I am trying to open the Email Accounts under Setup, I am unable to open this. I have successfully created my BB Account onto the Carrier Site and added the Email IDs these are reflected onto the device but as I am unable to open Email Accounts under Setup I am unable to Edit or Delete the Email Accounts which I don't won't on this Handle. Every time the Modifications have to be done by going to the Carrier website.

I have two unknown notification icons on my homescreen on BB Torch 9800. It's driving me insane not knowing what they're.Tried to get the picture in here, but don't have a clue how. The first icon resembles a tape casette player icon and displayed in white. The second one shows a smaller version of the tape casette player icon in black with three little dots on top of it.

I touch "Email Set-Up" and it states a new device has been detected. Move your email accounts to receive email on my new device. I'll need to type in my password and at least one account needs to be moved. Then I touch "Move Email Accounts" type in my password and touch continue, it states my password has been successfully validated, but I still cannot receive or send emails. I did a battery pull, sent my service books, and register my phone! I don't have a back up of my account.

Prior to upgrading my OS to 6.0, the sender would automatically default to the email account I am composing my email from. After the upgrade, now I have to manually select the email address from the "Send Using" drop-down. It defaults to [Default] and not hello@hotmail.com. This is just an added step that is tedious when I am sending out emails from different accounts.

Both email accounts are there, but when I try to verify I get the message ' Sorry, unable to continue your session. Please log in again.' I do not have the option available to delete the accounts and start again either - so completely stuck. I am using the correct passwords for the email accounts.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch on which I currently have 4 seperate e mail accounts. I travel fairly frequently between 3 countries each of which I have a local sim card for and a BB data plan. Normally when I travel and switch the sin card I simply enter setup select e mail and enter the appropriate password for each of my accounts then hit "activate" This has always worked perfectly. I have just changed my sim and once again all my e mail accounts are listed. However after entering all the passwords the activate button will not repsond and indeed is shaded as if it is unavailable. If I select verify for any of the passwords I get a message "Sorry, unable to continue your session. log in again" I have rebooted the phone numerous times with no difference.
