I see others ask what a particular symbol on the home screen means and they get an answer.I would like a list of all symbols I may see and their meanings on my Torch 8530.

what is it as when i had the phone it was never there
When I get a new text message, there is a small envelope icon/symbol that shows up in that box area as described above. What is that area called? And now I have this globe looking icon/symbol on that box area and I have No idea what that means. How to even find what the symbol is telling me....i.e. the envelope tells me I have a new text message. I want to know what this globe symbol tells me.

View 15 Replies View RelatedThe other day I updated my Quick Pull app. I forgot to reset the times in which i wanted it to reboot. Last night I remembered and set the time. I normally set it for 3, but since it was 3 it wouldn't be able to reboot until this evening. After I was done with my phone, I rebooted it manually by going to the app and clicking reboot. My battery was also low in the red so I stuck the charger in it. When I woke up this morning my phone was dead, if had fell on the floor and the charger came out. I put the charger back in a waited a little while for it to charge. When it came on, it only went to the Cricket screen, but would not go to the home screen. I took the battery out multiple times, I waited patiently, yet my phone is still stuck on the cricket screen.. Is there anyway to reset it so that it can work again?

My Blackberry Torch is stuck on a black screen with a crossed out battery symbol.
-I've tried doing a battery pull
-I've tried taking the battery out and just plugging it in Nothing works. The red LED does turn on for a few seconds when I plug it in if that helps.

Do the same messages from the earth one (which I assume means email) go into the plain envelope one which I think means ALL messages including BB PIN Messages? And then to other texts show up in the plain one?

I have no emails or messages at all on my phone anymore, and I cleared the messages from the advanced tab thingy on the desktop manager. I've done a battery pull, turned it off and waited a few minutes before turning it back on, and nothing has worked. I even tried sending a text message to my phone from my husband's, and it showed up as 2 messages on the icon, but when I deleted that new text msg, it went back down to 1 read message and is still there.
