When I put my phone on charger at night it enters bedside mode. Currently I have it set to silent for all. However, I would like two things to get through. Berry weather advisory, and phone calls from one or two contacts. I don't want phone only because I don't want to be woke up by just anybody but I would like for one or two people to be able to get through in case of a emergency.

When my BB is in its charging cradle and in bedside mode at night (set to auto dim) it is still too bright (according to my wife). I'd really like to be able to dim the screen so it is barely visible - perhaps 10% brightness - while in bedside mode.

View 8 Replies View RelatedBasically I have been reading that in bedside mode you can get the clock to stay on (dimmed) while charging. However I found a problem. This works only if I disable the password prompt, as certain people have a habit of picking my phone up when its on the side I like to keep it the password protection enabled. What I was wanting is the display the clock when in bedside mode without turning the screen off while still keeping the password protection enabled. Is this possible?

Each night I plug it in to charge and use the Bedside Mode. What I'd like to do is have it so that it all notifications are off, except for those from specific contacts. I've set up a BlackBerry Contact Group with those people in (ie just family, close friends, important colleagues, etc.). Is there a way for me to do this?

I just got a replacement storm2 and can not get the clock to stay on while in bedside mode even when plugged in charging. I have tried every possible option I can think of and it still dims then goes black. There has got to be a setting I'm missing somewhere.

I'm not receiving my e-mails. I searched through all the previous threads but my problem seems to be a little different than what past users have experienced. I stopped receiving e-mails this morning and cannot get any on my phone. I checked under Manage Connections --> Services Status and it says that I am not connected to the BES. I am however connected to Mobile Voice and BIS.I tried going into my e-mail setup to try and re-send the service books, but I get the error message that says, "Your device encountered a problem wit this application's server". So really I can't seem to do much of anything right now. I keep reading about the BIS website but am not familiar with it or do not know the address.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI put my phone into bedside mode each night as I put into my charging pod. I have bedside mode configured as "Phone Calls Only", all message options are set with vibration off for this profile. I have reviewed the BerryBuzz settings and they are set with vibration off as well. However, each time I get a new message with bedside mode enabled my phone vibrates once. I even put the phone into silent mode and dang thing still vibrates. This has worked fine in the past. Only changes is new OS (.607) install and newest BerryBuzz.
I'm not sure if this is a OS or BerryBuzz related issue, will have to disable BerryBuzz and see if this still occurs. Anyone else experiencing this type of behavior?
I have read all I can on this issue and it hasn't helped. I have a strange and dare I say new fault with my 9520. I can't send or forward emails BUT I can reply to an email. I am on BIS with O2UK and when I try and send, the option is just not in the menu and the mail symbol (for send) remains greyed out when I try and send or forward what I compose or receive.
All other data services are working and I have sent service books a hundred times and even tried 3 different OS's after doing security wipe!
is there a way to reboot the storm2? with my old curve you just presses 3 keys shift, cap, and delete and it would reboot. So far ill i can find it the turn phone of button but that seems to just put the phone in a sleep mode.

View 9 Replies View RelatedFor some reason when I go to call someone and hit the send key its just saying calling + the number and doesn't start the counter or start the ringing for 5-10 seconds. More towards the 10 second range. Also in the corner of the screen where the arrows are to show data going thru there is still a arrow but a very small one and then when the call goes thru it goes to the regular size arrows. Does anyone know what it is? It only started recently. I am using it on verizon.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a firm-issued BlackBerry that frequently locks itself after long periods of inactivity. I also choose to manually lock the phone from time to time. When coming out of lock mode and needing to enter my password, when in portrait mode, I sometimes get the MultiTap keypad and sometimes get the the full keypad. There doesn't appear to be any consistency in which one the BlackBerry will choose to offer me.
If I have a choice, I would prefer to use the SureType keyboard or even the full keyboard every time if possible. Can anyone lend any insight as to how to set this default keyboard when coming out of lock mode?
It seems if I hardly move it, it auto rotates to landscape mode. I guess it doesn't have any sensitivity options?

In my messages list I always see the Names/Numbers of those who have left voicemails EVEN AFTER I delete the original VM in Visual VM. Not only that - when I delete it out of the (email) messages list....they come right back!
I bought a new verizon storm 2 phone, at least I think its new, and unlocked it for t-mobile. A lot of the times, when I make a call or receive a call after like 10 seconds or so, theres no sound and call fails...Is my phone refurbished or this something that happens commonly with the storm 2? Sometimes I receive calls and make calls just fine, but it does this pretty often.

It is annoying that I have to hit the icon at the bottom left to make the number pad come up... and I often miss the call because the screen will not come up fast enough to hit 1 to receive it. View 4 Replies View RelatedI wanted to try BuzzBerry Free so I download it from the app-store, didn't like it so I deleted it and now my LED doesn't flash when I have a missed call anymore.All the other LED notifications work except when I have a missed call, it just stays blank.I tried deleting, restarting, reinstalling, restarting and it the LED will only work on missed calls if BuzzBerry is installed and controlling it.So I even tried deleting, BuzzBerry Free again, and installed the BuzzBerry 3 7 Day trial, didn't like that either, uninstalled it, restartd, then battery pull for 3 mins and my Missed Called LED is still not working.
Did they rig this program so that you have to buy it or they leave your phone screwed?I hope someone can help me with this because I only got my Storm 2 less than month ago and I think they made this horrible app to permanently screw your phone up if you chose not to buy.I'm using OS version 5.0.0.517 on Bell mobility Should I try upgrading or changing the OS?Is this a problem I can call BlackBerry about ? I will be making a call and hitting mute, flash, whatever! Even if the dial pad is up I somehow inexplicably hit mute or flash or whatever. It is DRIVING ME NUTS! I had TalkLock on my Storm 1 and it was alright.
I heard StormLock is better but I can't find it in App World. TalkLock is there but I'm not sure if it will work with Storm 2.
I have an annoying issue with incoming calls. when one comes in, the screen will lock up in landscape mode. even when i hold the phone upright, it's still frozen in landscape and the ringtone cuts in and out. then eventually after touching the screen multiple times it will unfreeze and the ringtone starts all over. this has happened with every hybrid and os ive had. even with the .320 i believe.

When I reach into my pocket to answer a call I almost always end up ignoring the call by hitting the end button. Even though I set the lock function to stay locked when you get an incoming call it does not do this. I would like the app to force me to unlock the phone to answer. Any help, was this the wrong app for my problem?
