View 5 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to turn off Suretype on the Storm2? It is a real pain in the a** to be typing and have this list of suggestions constantly in your face/in your way. I'm trying to help my companion with his set up (I went to the Tour - hated th touch screen, I prefer the physical keyboard). I haven't found any way to turn off suretype, but thought I would ask here.

This is kind of a general Suretype question, I've searched and searched, and used the options that it gives you when you're making a new thread, and still don't have an answer.
Anyway, here's my question:
This isn't the only word, but this is my example as it is probably the most common. When using Suretype, I was trying to type "serious" I accidentally typed out a word "seei". I hit the first four letters then accidentally hit enter. Now whenever I type "are" or "see", which many of you know you commonly have to figure out which one you want of the two, or anything after that, I get an option for "seei", which is not a word. It has not been added to my custom dictionary, but it is there when I'm typing. Is there anyway to get rid of this word so I don't have to scroll past it (and sometimes I still accidentally click on it)?

I have a firm-issued BlackBerry that frequently locks itself after long periods of inactivity. I also choose to manually lock the phone from time to time. When coming out of lock mode and needing to enter my password, when in portrait mode, I sometimes get the MultiTap keypad and sometimes get the the full keypad. There doesn't appear to be any consistency in which one the BlackBerry will choose to offer me.
If I have a choice, I would prefer to use the SureType keyboard or even the full keyboard every time if possible. Can anyone lend any insight as to how to set this default keyboard when coming out of lock mode?
Wish I could change my keyboard mode from "reduced" to "full" for password entry but can't figure out a way to do it. In options it is set to SureType and it comes up as SureType everywhere else except for password entry when it comes up as "reduced".

Back 100 years ago, on my 9530 running... .75 maybe, when I would take a portrait picture, it would be right if I transferred it to my pc or sent it as mms... View 8 Replies View RelatedGot my storm 2 about a week ago. Only belong to one BBM group but the keyboard will not come up when I try to message in the group. Works fine for one on one chat. I did work for the first few days and this one was shipped with .607 and was not a refurb. I tried all the usual fixes including deleting BBM which I found that I couldn't delete it.

Does anyone know of a way to further dim the clock when the BB is in bedside mode? I keep my screen brightness at 60%. When my BB is in its charging cradle and in bedside mode at night (set to auto dim) it is still too bright (according to my wife). I'd really like to be able to dim the screen so it is barely visible - perhaps 10% brightness - while in bedside mode.

I have bedside mode configured as "Phone Calls Only", all message options are set with vibration off for this profile. I have reviewed the BerryBuzz settings and they are set with vibration off as well. However, each time I get a new message with bedside mode enabled my phone vibrates once. I even put the phone into silent mode and dang thing still vibrates. This has worked fine in the past. Only changes is new OS (.607) install and newest BerryBuzz.
I'm not sure if this is a OS or BerryBuzz related issue, will have to disable BerryBuzz and see if this still occurs. Anyone else experiencing this type of behavior?
What all exactly is bedside mode supposed to do on the s2? I tried it last night thinking it would kill my alerts but I still got some, so I actually had to go into silent all alerts under profiles to stop my phone from going off last night.

This works only if I disable the password prompt, as certain people have a habit of picking my phone up when its on the side I like to keep it the password protection enabled. What I was wanting is the display the clock when in bedside mode without turning the screen off while still keeping the password protection enabled. Is this possible?

Each night I plug it in to charge and use the Bedside Mode. What I'd like to do is have it so that it all notifications are off, except for those from specific contacts. I've set up a BlackBerry Contact Group with those people in (ie just family, close friends, important colleagues, etc.). Is there a way for me to do this?

Berry weather advisory, and phone calls from one or two contacts. I just got a replacement storm2 and can not get the clock to stay on while in bedside mode even when plugged in charging. 1.What i am still unsure of is which phone is better suited to Canadian phone companies neither will get 3g coverage but will one work better than the other like will they both get 2.5g coverage?
2. Also i have read that possibly the 9520 will be comin to rogers but i havnt heard anything recent on it does anyone have news on a release date or anything?
3. Right now i am thinkin of buyin the storm 9550 from telus and either goin with fido or terminate my contract with them and stay with telus or move to rogers. Is there a company that is better suited to the storm 2 or will either giv me 2.5g?
