I read all the thread on how to remove the languages, I did it in set up wizard but portugues stayed behind. I need to remove these, hooked up my bb to the desk top manager and there are no options to remove these languages...
I am I missing a step?
This is my replacement storm 2 and the last Storm 2 I backed up... dont know if this has any bearing on this?
I've had my Storm 2 since they came out on Oct 28 and I still haven't found a place where I can find out what the symbols mean that appear right below the data and time at the top of the screen.
Right now I have a yellow globe with a crosshatch on it and the number 1 to the left of it.What does this mean and is there a place that tells what all these symbols mean?
Got my storm 2 about a week ago. Only belong to one BBM group but the keyboard will not come up when I try to message in the group. Works fine for one on one chat. I did work for the first few days and this one was shipped with .607 and was not a refurb. I tried all the usual fixes including deleting BBM which I found that I couldn't delete it.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is a result of OS .607, but every time I get a notification, either an SMS, MMS, FB notification, etc, and I remove the device from my magnetic holster, the thing stays frozen for about 30 seconds before it allows me to put in my code and unlock the phone (btw, I use pattern lock). As I said, I don't know if its because of OS .607, but it has been happening a lot lately. It also does not flip around which also tells me that the device is frozen for a short time before I am able to put in my swipe code... or see the screen flip

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a firm-issued BlackBerry that frequently locks itself after long periods of inactivity. I also choose to manually lock the phone from time to time. When coming out of lock mode and needing to enter my password, when in portrait mode, I sometimes get the MultiTap keypad and sometimes get the the full keypad. There doesn't appear to be any consistency in which one the BlackBerry will choose to offer me.
If I have a choice, I would prefer to use the SureType keyboard or even the full keyboard every time if possible. Can anyone lend any insight as to how to set this default keyboard when coming out of lock mode?
Is there a way to make the icons bigger on the scene? My suretype keyboard used to be able to see without squinting, but not anymore. I've tried changing the font but it stays the same.

For the past couple of days, I've been unable to use my BB's Browser or GPS functions. Whenever I try to connect to the BB Browser, I get a timeout error. None of my bookmarks are able to connect either. I've tried switching between the different settings in browser configuration settings (BIS, hotspot, wifi, IE, Firefox, etc) to no avail. I also have a wifi set up at home and even though it was working flawlessly a couple of days ago, it will no longer connect to any wifi. In addition, the GPS function is not working on any of the apps that use GPS (Both BB and Google maps, weatherbug, poynt).
Here's the kicker: Everything else is working great. I'm getting all of my emails from all of the emails I have configured with the device (my work email through the BES, forwarded from a comcast address, and from my *@vzw.blackberry.net address) and all of my apps seem to be working fine. I've got facebook, ubertwitter, ebay, weatherbug, poynt, and a couple of others and they're all able to update wirelessly.
I've tried going through a new enterprise activation, I've updated everything through the desktop manager, and I've re-registered the device on the network. I'm iffy on whether I've actually pushed all of the service books to the device again because I can't login here: https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw. Whenever I try to, it tells me I have use my device's BIS. Well, that's my problem. I can't use my device's BIS. Also, I have one WiFi host routing table and about a hundred Verizon host routing tables. I'm not sure which ones I should delete, as I've read, in order to get it download a new one.
The only thing I've really noted that appears to be a problem is that when I go to Options -> Status, the device's IP Address is 0.0.0.0. I'm not sure if that is supposed to be like that or not. I know from regular internet usage on a desktop, if you don't have an ip address on the network, you can't get on the internet. Does that ring true for the BB as well?
So i jus got my BB Storm 2 yesterday n im having issues with my EDGE network... it seems to keep goin to the lower case edge n then my FB n other internet apps cease to work... is there somethin i can do 2 keep it from doing that...ive gone to "managing connections" n turned off the antena n turned it bak on n that works but only 4 a short time.

1.What i am still unsure of is which phone is better suited to Canadian phone companies neither will get 3g coverage but will one work better than the other like will they both get 2.5g coverage?
2. Also i have read that possibly the 9520 will be comin to rogers but i havnt heard anything recent on it does anyone have news on a release date or anything?
3. Right now i am thinkin of buyin the storm 9550 from telus and either goin with fido or terminate my contract with them and stay with telus or move to rogers. Is there a company that is better suited to the storm 2 or will either giv me 2.5g?
When I select Delete on Mailbox and Handheld it no longer deletes my email in Outlook on my computer. I do have synch deleted items selected in my Verizon BIS account. I can't remember when this started or what could have caused it. I have installed several leaks and am currently using .607.
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhether it was my recent os upgrade to 517 or the new BIS 3.0, but something amazing has happened to my native browser. It went from being frustratingly slow and almost unusable to lightning fast! Its so different I have been thinking of it as a whole new app.I used to use Opera Mini exclusively, and had even gone as far as to "hide" the icon for the bb browser, but that has all changed. I haven't even booted up OM in a couple of days. Has any one else noticed this incredible change? Is it the new BIS or was my it 517 upgrade? Most pages now load in less than 3 seconds!

I went to tmobile to change the device (PIN and IMEI) but tmobile says "The information you have provided is not valid for this provider."Also, I can't update the host routing table. It's blank and registering doesn't do anything. APN is set to epc.tmobile.com.

When I use my Rocketfish bluetooth headset it works fabulously, almost always gets the correct name, but when I use the handset it's almost always wrong.This has been the case since day 1 on my S2 regardless of the OS I've been on and I've tried all the officials and several hybrids. I guinea pigged this, and can confirm it works...partially !!! Install .451, replace java folder with .497, then copy and paste .484 java over that... (NOTE: you may experience an app error reset, just let it reboot and you should be fine!)
View 14 Replies View Relatedthe proximity sensor works fine when I am on a phone call, (ie: my face does not push any buttons), but when I am listening to a Visual Voice Mail, I am constantly stopping the playback of the message when the screen touches my face. Seems like the screen lock out feature does not work at all in VVM (but works fine while on a call).
This did not happen before the upgrade to .607.
