Apr 7, 2012My Storm will reboot, seemingly without cause or warning, and sometimes take hours to reach the home screen again. When it does this it will go black, the red light will come on and it usually goes off after a short time. After that a black screen with a clock pops up and finally the BlackBerry screen with the loading bar at the bottom. It goes through this process several times before it will turn on. When it does come on it tells me the battery is drained, even if it was fully charged before it shut off. It makes it pointless to keep paying for a phone.

Mar 29, 2010I am using BB Strom 2 Smartphone.For some reason the instrument goes to off mode several times It does not happen reguraly but surely it happens 1 to 2 times every 2 - 3 days.Sometimes it reboots on its own , but sometimes i press the power key Once it re boots it works fine.The battery is almost 70%.

Jun 22, 2010So recently my BB storm died so i plugged it in to charge, after a while i came back to it and it wouldn't boot up, it would just continuously reboot. I took it to the verizon store, they didn't help to much. So i came back home tried turning it on and it powered on to a white screen the said "Reload Software, 507" or something like that. So i plugged it in to my computer, launched DM and restored the whole phone back to original .328 OS. After it was done it started working, i was happy until it stopped working again. I let it charge over night and turned it back on in the morning and same thing happened.
I tried the App Loader wizard itself, and i got this message: "The blackberry Desktop software does not have blackberry device software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator."

Jul 13, 2010Ive had the storm since it came out never any issue until a couple of weeks ago .
long story short i would make a call with 100% battery talk for 2-3 minutes the led on the phone would go red, phone would try to restart but would not until i did a battery pull .
once restart was complete my battery would be drained to the point that radio would get shut off.
I am currently using one of my old phones until i can find a solution for this problem any help would be great I miss my storm.

Mar 25, 2011my blackberry storm 9500 turns its self off all the time can be up to 10 times a day. the auto off settings are diabled took it to a phone shop and they said it needs updating. i have done this and there is no improvement. downloaded blackberry app world and now when i turn it on it says caught unexplained content whats rong with it?

May 26, 2010I've read all of the posts about time zones NOT changing as you travel, but I have the opposite problem. My BB Storm will momentarily update to Eastern Time, then immediately go back to Central Time. Considering I live smack in the middle of Central Time, this is a bit "Twilight Zone". It also seems more prone to doing this when I'm in an area where I know my phone service goes in and out. Anyone else run into this?
Options -- Date/Time -- TimeZone -- Auto Update TimeZone "on"
I just changed the Auto Update to "off" and updated the software (now v5.0.0.328, platform 4.2.0.128), so I'm waiting to see if it does it again, but I'm hoping someone can tell me what's going on. I'd kind of like to go back to the Auto Update On.

This makes that some applications (like facebook or twitter) donīt start automatically because I need to enter again my credentials. Jul 23, 2011My Storm 9550 has recently started getting reeeeeeally laggy at times. It'll be working fine then it will start lagging really bad. This will happen for about 20 minutes, then it will go back to normal. Then after another hour of use it will do it again. I've tried restoring the phone, and I've always done regular battery pulls and nothing seems to help. I didn't download any new software or anything, it just started happening. I loved this phone for the year I had it until this started happening.

Jan 3, 2010Just a few hours ago I picked up my phone and realized the time was behind by 21 minutes..I have been trying to go in and manually change the time but I guess you aren't allowed. I tried changing time zones and going back, rebooting and searching can't seem to find a solution. When I go into options, date/time..under device time the time is wrong but the actual network time displays as the right time.

May 4, 2010My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.

Mar 14, 2010My iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
BB Curve 8500 :: Unable To Access Media Card Content From Time To Time
Aug 12, 2010I am using BB 8520 Curve with the default external memory (2 Gb). I have music files (*.mp3, *.wma) as well as picture files (captured through the device itself).What happens is, from time to time I am unable to access the media card content. If I go to music, I can see the entries if I go to any of the menu filters, All Songs/Artists/Albums/Genres .. etc. But when I click on the song itself, the music player opens with a message "This playlist contains no valid songs". Also, during this time, my device rings with the default tunes on a call, even if I have set custom profile ring tones.Similarly, if I go to Media->Pictures, I can see a thumbnail preview of the photos, however on trying to open a file it just presents me with a black screen. The contact picture or the desktop custom wallpaper, however is rendered as expected.If I reboot my device by taking off the battery, things get working again.I am experiencing this issue quite frequently, almost every day. I tried to find out a trend for the behaviour, however could not make any such consistent observations.Does anyone in the forum has faced similar issue? Any inputs would be highly appreciated. This is really being a disturbing trait with my otherwise so cool BB.

I.e., when travelling to a different time zone, the local time is used by the phone.Problem: The time in all calendar items are adjusted to the time zone travelled-to, not the value orginally set.
