my blackberry storm 9500 turns its self off all the time can be up to 10 times a day. the auto off settings are diabled took it to a phone shop and they said it needs updating. i have done this and there is no improvement. downloaded blackberry app world and now when i turn it on it says caught unexplained content whats rong with it?

The vibrate icon is still there, but my phone no longer vibrates on notifications and calls. Two nights ago my camera started to come on randomly. I tried a battery pull but no change. I did not really mind until I found out the hard way this morning that when the camera is on the alarm will not sound.

My S6 is on 5.0.2 (No 5.1.1 for the international S6 yet) and this happens when there's no charger plugged in and no new notification. No case on it or anything pressing against the power button. Its definitely a software related bug. It happens randomly maybe twice or thrice a day but I've only noticed it in the past 2 days. Its happened almost 10 times so far including thrice in the past 4 hours.
My main concern is screen burn on the Amoled (happened to one of my Lumia's and the huge battery drain if I don't notice that its turned on.
I have a Storm 9550. When I take a picture, it captures it, shows up on the screen and when it finalizes it, it makes the picture totally unviewable. It is nothing but lines in rainbow colors.

Every time I get a text message my screen turns on and off. I don't have this problem with any other notification I get just text messages. The screen just turns on and off in like a seconds time.I dont know if its a setting I might have set or if I have a bad phone.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've read all of the posts about time zones NOT changing as you travel, but I have the opposite problem. My BB Storm will momentarily update to Eastern Time, then immediately go back to Central Time. Considering I live smack in the middle of Central Time, this is a bit "Twilight Zone". It also seems more prone to doing this when I'm in an area where I know my phone service goes in and out. Anyone else run into this?
Options -- Date/Time -- TimeZone -- Auto Update TimeZone "on"
I just changed the Auto Update to "off" and updated the software (now v5.0.0.328, platform 4.2.0.128), so I'm waiting to see if it does it again, but I'm hoping someone can tell me what's going on. I'd kind of like to go back to the Auto Update On.

This makes that some applications (like facebook or twitter) don´t start automatically because I need to enter again my credentials. I there any way that my device doesn´t erase the service books every time that I reset it? This will happen for about 20 minutes, then it will go back to normal. Then after another hour of use it will do it again. I've tried restoring the phone, and I've always done regular battery pulls and nothing seems to help. I didn't download any new software or anything, it just started happening. I loved this phone for the year I had it until this started happening.

I turned the phone off with the power button and tried to turn it on again, The instant i press the power button the screen turns on (stays black but becomes a dark grey with the backlight) for about 30 seconds, but nothing else happens, the screen turns off after those 30 seconds and its back to square 1.I have tried turning it on again without a sim card, or memory card, or both and still the same result

I have a JB iPhone 3G 3.1.2 OS. Everything has been fine until now. I had SBRotator on and all of a sudden it started to go really slow and in the end not respond. So i turned my iphone off by holding the power and home buttons and now whenever I turn it on it stays on the apple logo screen for about 10 seconds and then switches itself off. I've never had a problem with SBRotator before. What can I do to get it working again?

I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 3GS is set to change time automatically with the Daylight Savings change. That worked as the phone time itself is correct, but the times for the different places in the built-in World Clock app are still off by an hour (they are on the old time). This is also true of my husband's iPhone 3G. Strangely, I have an iPod touch that adjusted both its system time and the World Clock times without difficulty.
I have tried syncing the phone, toggling on/off the update time automatically, and rebooting, but the time is still incorrect. If I try adding a new place, it will also have the wrong time.
There may also be an issue with other apps - the ESPN app had the start time of a game today off by an hour as well.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how to fix this?
Edit: To clarify, the times are wrong for US cities that do observe DST, such as New York, Chicago, etc.
I am using BB 8520 Curve with the default external memory (2 Gb). I have music files (*.mp3, *.wma) as well as picture files (captured through the device itself).What happens is, from time to time I am unable to access the media card content. If I go to music, I can see the entries if I go to any of the menu filters, All Songs/Artists/Albums/Genres .. etc. But when I click on the song itself, the music player opens with a message "This playlist contains no valid songs". Also, during this time, my device rings with the default tunes on a call, even if I have set custom profile ring tones.Similarly, if I go to Media->Pictures, I can see a thumbnail preview of the photos, however on trying to open a file it just presents me with a black screen. The contact picture or the desktop custom wallpaper, however is rendered as expected.If I reboot my device by taking off the battery, things get working again.I am experiencing this issue quite frequently, almost every day. I tried to find out a trend for the behaviour, however could not make any such consistent observations.Does anyone in the forum has faced similar issue? Any inputs would be highly appreciated. This is really being a disturbing trait with my otherwise so cool BB.
