BB Storm :: Unable To Download From App-world?
Jan 31, 2011when i attempt to download anything, such as a facebook update, i am requested to log in. so i enter my email and password but instead of the page returning and automatically starting the download as before it simply shows me my log in information page; my email, and whether i want to change my password or question.if i go back it returns to the same page where i can select download and the process repeats itself. <cycle of death!> if i hit the BB button i have the option to 'save' and changes to my log in info (even tho i made no changes) if i select 'save' the page just stays where it is. my other options are 'help' wh takes me online, 'see featured view' which takes me to appworld home or 'close'. none of these options allow me to actually get what i wanted to download in the first place and there is still the annoying symbol which tells me that i have 2 updates waiting.

Jul 8, 2010Blackberry sent me a message that an upgrade was available for one of my game applications "Shoppers Paradise". When I click on the link to download the upgrade, it gives me an error message that the upgrade is not available through App World.Is there anyone else having this issue? Is Blackberry working on this issue?

I'm sorry for posting a question perhaps already posted, but I didn't find a working answer.Even if the app world application is installed, it appears impossible to find the related icon, both on the application, download or application center. But if, from the list of application, i ask to change application, the icon appears in the list.

Apr 8, 2011I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 that I bought on eBay. I accidently dropped my metal water bottle on the bottom half of the screen. Immediately there was a tiny crack that appears in the graphics of the screen, but nothing on the surface. Now anytime I try to get the screen to respond all that appears is that little crack. The LED is working, and I'm assuming that the phone is still functioning. I've tried pulling the battery two times now, but the screen isnt responding.

Oct 2, 2010My phone a Storm has developed a problem where the screen is blank though everything is working fine and I can receive calls and emails. Shortly before this happened, the phone would not sow the words im typing and they would only show up after pressing the space button after which the phone would freeze and require a battery pull. The phone has been giving me problems for a bit so I thought this was one of the many problems but now the phone cant show anything although the backlight will be on. I thought it was a software issue (I started using the phone brand in November when it was brand new so I didnt expect this to be a hardware problem) and tried upgrading and downgrading with the same results.Looking at this forum this looks like a very common problem amongst Storm phones. Since I bought this phone off an online auction (in South Africa which means I cant 'return it to my carrier') and the Warranty type was listed as carried by the manufacturer is there a way I can return this phone to RIM for repairs sonce the phone is only 3months old and I still have some warranty?

Jan 13, 2010I had a 9500 and I found sometimes when the screen turns black after 30 seconds, it could not be activated again with pressing screen or any bottom you could find on the phone. The screen looks black, but I could find back light is on, and I have software for screen image capture, these images I captured when screen failed showed me that all the functions are working, just the screen seems out of connection with the machine. I searched several times and I found it happens while using 9500, but there is no solution. It's not possible for me to return it back to carrier and I wonder if there is any technical analysis or solution on this. And another question, what would you do when typing letters on the edge of the screen?

The site installed a web plugin, after tht i tried connecting my device, the site shows my pin clicking on which my phone gets connected to the site. Than i click to download the new apps software on the device as suggested by the apps site. Dec 10, 2010On Vodafone in UK, and my Storm worked fine with the old App world. Then the new version came out. I've downloaded it umpteen times, and have created a BB ID. I log in correctly into App world on the Storm, and I just get the "loading" screen and cannot get past this. This has been going on for weeks. I thought there was a fault with the phone, but the store manager said he has been having exactly the same problem and that it is a problem at the BB end of things. When will RIM get this sorted out?

Dec 7, 2012I went into the the Blackberry App World to download the "Score Mobile" app. While it was in the process of downloading, it froze and cancelled the download. The app is not showing up in the "My World" as downloaded. But when I go to re-download the "Score Mobile" app, it does not give me the option to download it.
