I updated my blackberry ap world after trying to switch devices. I had an old bb pearl and now have a storm 9530. Since trying to make the switch I can't find the icon for bb app world. I've wiped the phone, restored it, battery pulls but it's still not showing. When I go into options and applications it's there. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it's still not showing up.

After I upgraded, the app world icon disappeared.I searched all the folders it might have moved itself to, but no icon I reinstalled, no icon I deleted and reinstalled, no icon I reinstalled thru the web browser, no icon.So what can i do to get the app world icon back?

When i go to email settings my email account is alreday there i just need to type in my password but when i do it, it says email account succesfully done But the problem is i cant see the icon on the menu before it was a email icon on the menu. How can i fix this?

When I click on the link to download the upgrade, it gives me an error message that the upgrade is not available through App World.Is there anyone else having this issue? My contacts are still there, I can find them by searching but don't have an icon on my home page (or anywhere else) to click on to add new contacts or find old ones. Can anyone advise what I've done? I've tried synching with my laptop but that hasn't brought the icon back, and I've powered off. I backed up to the cloud earlier but am a bit bothered about trying a full restore! Besides, the contacts icon was missing when I last backed up, so it probably wouldn't come back anyway!

However only today I realized that I cannot find BBM or App World. I have done almost everything I can. Click the Show All option, did a battery pull, shut off the phone and started it back. searched the phone for it, clicked switch application to see if it was open there. The site installed a web plugin, after tht i tried connecting my device, the site shows my pin clicking on which my phone gets connected to the site. Than i click to download the new apps software on the device as suggested by the apps site. The downloading starts, later the device is restarted, but when the device bootsup the apps site gives a error " App World Web Plugin Error" "an error has occurred communicating with the Blackberry App world client."
