I have a light that stays on constantly. Its like the video camera light is constantly on but not quite as bright as the video light. I have tried everything to turn it off. Its draining my battery & is annoying! When I turn on my video camera, the light brightens. I'm so sick of this stupid light! Short of putting blk electrical tape over it I don't know what to do.

View 7 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I stupidly dropped my xperia play in the bath. I let it dry out and place in rice in a sealed container for a few days to dry it out. However when I now power the phone up the camera flash light stays on and will not switch off even going into the camera settings and turning it off. I done the software repair download from the sony website but it hasn't helped.I also purchased a new battery as well. I am guessing it's going to need repaired but I thought I ask on here if anyone has ideas as to what would be causing the problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my phone for a few months and it was working great until a couple of weeks ago when a sync symbol started to appear (i didnt dowload any new apps or do anything new, it just started) in the top bar on the right hand side. (not the left like the twitter or fb sync symbols) Now if the data traffic is on it will sync constantly and cause excess dowload and battery drain. When i turn the data traffic off after using the internet it continues to attempt to sync and drains the battery unless i don't use the internet for a couple of days. I want to be able to leave my internet on like i did for the last few months without worrying about the download problem. I called SE and they told me i might have to reset my phone. I have SOOO much stuff that i don't want to loose. Anyone know what this thing is trying to sync and how to stop it? The SE guy already told me to turn all the sync and background apps off but it didnt change anything.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a storm with the .328 update. Its worked well, but I have one issue that pops up every so often.My battery will drain by 3:00 in the afternoon. What I noticed happening was, while the phone was sitting still, the screen would light up for a few seconds and go out just about every 2 minutes. And the phone is usually pretty warm. There have been days when I will be on the phone texting and playing games most of the day and the battery will last and the phone not get nearly as hot, but when the screen acts up, the phone gets pretty warm.
The apps I have installed are Quick Pull, Pattern Lock, Google voice, Gmail, Facecbook, Sudoku lite, Pixelated and Google Maps.I saw one post from quite awhile back where someone had the same issue and they ended getting the phone replaced. I'm nervous about that just because thats really the only negative I have on a great phone.

I have noticed that the back light on the camera (the small round one) stays on constantly. the lens cover was stuck open and the camera wont start. didnt hear the caller but the caller could hear me when in a call. no sound from the bottom speaker. all at once. screen ok vibrating ok.
I have noticed this when i pulled the phone from my pocket. it has been there for 20 minutes or so. before working fine.
Managed to get some of the hardware working later by looping videos i have recorded. after 4 5 times the sound came back. then after plugging headphones in the jack and pulling it out again i could hear the caller. then downloaded hardware test app and the camera came back but every time i switched from still to video the flash went off. happened also when switching from front facing cam to the normal one.
Since running the latest software update on my torch, the led light blinks when text or email comes in, but when I open them, the light stays on and does not go off. Have to turn device off to get it to go off.

I have tried other batteries that were verified to be good with the same results. I have tried other wall chagers with the same results.
I have repeatedly left the phone on charge for several hours, removed the battery and replaced it after a few moments with the same results.
This issue started after the battery became very depleted after leaving the phone on bedside mode overnight. The phone had been operating without any issues up until this point. It is approx 2 1/2 years old.
All my contacts are on the phone and have not been backed up or saved on the sim card.
While I was charging the phone with lead to my PC i turned the phone on, Then blue light LED came on and nothing else happens next.. i have tried all the buttons, and everything fails. I even wiped the Data on the phone too!
When i try pressing the different buttons to start the phone it comes up as normal with samsung galaxy s6 powered as android then after that just black screen with the blue led light stuck on, but when i charge it it goes to charge screen when i press power button and down..
I dropped my iPhone 4S in the toilet. I dried it and shook out as much water as I could. I removed the SD card and put everything in a bowl of rice. It is still in there and everything appears to be working normally, but it won't shut off and the camera light stays on. I've tried the restart thing where you press and hold the pwr button and the home button. What should I do?

I have looked through all the settings to see if anything controls it but can't find anything. Is this a fault or some configuration problem? Any suggestions as to how to fix? Otherwise phone works fine - touch wood.
