i need to know where i can have my bb storm 9500 fixed. o.s is working because, it still set off the alarm clock and the bb desktop software was still able to back up the device but screen is black. i dropped it and i saw the screen dissappear before my very eyes.

My browser and email stopped working about 3 days ago and I spent almost a whole day on the phone with support, no help. They had me do everything including delete all my service books and now there is nothing in the host routing table. They finally said, we cant help. My phone is stuck on lower case edge and I cant get data.

Why doesn't the browser and BBM work with my new Storm? Do I need to contact Fido so that they can put the Storm's pin in their system or something? I'm not that good with this stuff but that seems like a possibility Is there a setting I need to change? My SIM card is in there and working fine but I just cannot get BBM or the Browser to work

View 14 Replies View RelatedI recently bought the Blackberry Strom 2 9550 from Ebay(Verizon wireless Unlocked) and I am using this in Saudi Arabia on the Mobily Network(a Local Service Provider).I have subscribed into the BIS plan and have set up the email and everything works fine, But I cant see the BB maps(I have tried the show all on the homescreen but still nothing) application to use the GPS Maps (I dont know if this could be used). The only application it does have is the VZNavigator which I believe works only in the U.S, Is there an alternate application that I can install to use GPS Navigation(Google maps doesnt work either)? Or is there device software for Saudi Arabia that has all relevant applications?
Secondly when I do try to login through the Facebook allplication it says connection error, is there anything I can do about this.
My caller ID does not work. All call I receive appear as unknown number.Any solutions?

When you're in a group chat or individual chats the keyboard does not appear when you click inside the text box or choose show keyboard from the menu. I've heard this from a few other people I know that have the Storm 2. This is very frustrating. Please help!!!!!!!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a BlackBerry Storm2 9550 unlocked phone, which updated to the latest software version. Phone works properly except the backlight of the touch screen. Sometimes the backlight getting off without any reason( am not talking about the backlight time out). So, I can't see anything in the screen, but I can press the screen well. Mostly it happens when am going to unlock my phone's touch screen. Sometimes the backlight gets on automaticaly, otherwise, after doing a battery pull it gets on. I formatted the phone and installed softwares again, but nothing cahnge. For your information i have a screen protector on the screen.

View 1 Replies View Relatedok so here goes. as my profile states , i have an 9520 on Orange , i have BIS activated and normal data plan. for some weird reason , yahoo messenger DEDICATED APP ( the one from blackberry , or blackberry yahoo messenger how others call it) will not work. it launches , i write my user & pass , i tap on sign in and then it says "signing in as xxxxxxxxxxxx..." for a very long time after which it gives me an "Internal error" error and after i click ok on that it gives me an "Could not connect to server" error. yes , i deleted the cache , cookies , etc , yes it does work to sign in from the browser/opera and yes i did reinstall it a thousand times and yes i did asked for my service books to be resent and i replaced them.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo here is my problem: My numerical keypad is not working. When I push a number nothing happens. The 0 works and when I hold down the 1 it goes to voicemail. When it goes to voicemail though, where the numbers should be there are letters. If I have someone in my contacts, I can call them but I cannot dial their number. Everything else on the phone works. Email, SMS and Browser all work. It is only the most basic function that will not work. I called Verizon and they helped me do restore and then an update but that didn't help. I went to the Verizon store and they said that all they can do is a clean wipe and restore, the same thing I did over the phone. I then took it to Cell Phone Repair (CPR). They said they have never seen it. And if they have never seen it, then it must be really screwed up.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOn Vodafone in UK, and my Storm worked fine with the old App world. Then the new version came out. I've downloaded it umpteen times, and have created a BB ID. I log in correctly into App world on the Storm, and I just get the "loading" screen and cannot get past this. This has been going on for weeks. I thought there was a fault with the phone, but the store manager said he has been having exactly the same problem and that it is a problem at the BB end of things. When will RIM get this sorted out?

I was using my phone like any other time to take a picture and when I did, the screen came up with colors across it. My phone was never abused in any way. Why would it all of a sudden stop working. I haven't even had it for two months yet.

It says "You are currently not in an area that can handle data communication. As a result the browser cannot retrieve any web pages" This happens even when Im in full reception and where I would have been prior to leaving!?
Usually I just turn it off and take the battery out but this time it doesnt work. I have no idea what to do or anything about the network etc.
I recently got a Storm 2 9550. Verizon is service provider. BB Maps was working OK when I got it.
Last week I upgraded to 5.0.0.607. Now BB Maps shows only a yellow screen with no maps. I have tried everything I could on the boards, reinstalled a couple times. Still no luck.
so as the title says, i was able to go on car forums and such from my blackberrry storm ver. 1 with the v5.0 software.it was working like a charm and better than before and one day it just decided not to work anymore. does anyone else have the same issues / any solutions to fix this? i can go into the forum, but not the thread itself. it just comes up as blank.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my BB Storm for approx 18 months now and on and off for the past week or so I have been experiencing some difficulties with different aspects of it. These are:Facebook App - I haven't been getting any notifications come through on my phone and sometimes the newsfeed is a few hours behind. Internet Browser - With the FB app not working I have tried to go to the mobile site which has taken forever to load then comes up "Server Unavailable". I have then tried to go to other websites and have found the same issue.
BB App World - I went to see if there were upgrades available on App World thinking there could be a glitch with the current FB thats available but it comes up " Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connections and try again" so I am unable to do anything in app world whatsoever. The top of my phone shows that I have coverage in my current area so I don't know what else I can do to try and verify my network connection.Emails - usually (before approx 2 weeks ago) i would receive instantly but I have been noticing 24 hour+ delays lately.
