I have tried every way possible to get my storm 2 to activate with my company email and will not connect? I talked with my IT department and they have supplied us with all the information. It wants an exchange URL, and I have provided that URL for outlook web access and the server and will not accept it. My IT does not have an answer and neither does Verizon.
I am trying to set up my company email and keep getting "password incorrect " it's a google.com server address can't see I know the password is correct as I can log in from other devices on this?
I'm trying to set up my Exchange email with the Enterprise Server, but when I go into the Setup Wizard and then email setup, I get a screen that says: Status: Initializing service (Desktop) with the word "Cancelling" above that. I can'tget past that screen to input my password. Any ideas how to correct and move past this screen?
I had previously set up my mini pro to sync with my company's exchange server, first when it was running 2.4, and maintained the data when I upgraded to ICS.
It stopped working last week, so I erased the data and thought I could re-configure it again. However, no matter how many times I input the various settings, it still won't create the account.
Is this an inherent problem with ICS running on mini pros? Or is the manufacturer pushing me towards the bundled Moxier Pro app?
Our company purchased 12 Nokia E71 phones and they are using exchange for e-mails. What is happening is that our new company e-mail signature now includes our logo, our group logo and 6 small boxes which are hyperlinked to redirect back to our corporate site when clicked on. I have brought the overall signature as far down as 120kbs which is fine for a desktop email client, but when staff are using their phone to open up an internal e-mail which contains the signature, the phone hangs for about 1min with a progress bar that simply states "opening". This is a concern for the company as it would mean higher data charges for field users.
I assumed that the phone only read e-mails in plain text, but appears to be downloading the whole message (I think). When I open the test email and see the message details on the phone...the Nokia says 24kb. am I right in thinking that the phone is not in fact downloading the full message but only the text portion which is 24kb's??
My company is a little behind the times and I do not even know the correct terms to search for an answer to my questions within these forums. We are running Microsoft Exchange 2003 and we just set everyone up with a company domain email address (Exchange address?).I would like to be able to connect a smartphone to the server so I can sync my email, calendar, and contacts.I have a Storm 9530 on Verizon, but other employees have other phones. One uses an iPhone, the other is looking at a Droid. Is there a quick and easy way to access Exchange on our phones? Do we have to have a third party app?My wife, who is in no way tech-savvy, was able to easily sync with her work email, calendar, and contacts on her personal iPhone after a simple walk-through phone call with her IT department (They have since somehow disabled this function for non company issued phones. I think just to **** her off.)I would like to be able to send emails from my phone and have them show up on my server. Syncing the calendar and contacts would be an added bonus. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? Oh, and by the way, I AM the IT department.
I am a new owner to a x8 (android 2.1), after 10 happy years with Nokia. Unfortuantely I have run into some issues and her is one:
The embedded email app are deleting mails on my mail server, when I delete them in my phone. I am used to have a copy left on the mail server to be fetched when coming back to the office. I do not find any options in my x8 so I have a copy left on my server.
I recently re-activated my old Storm for my wife (her first smartphone). After reactivation, I tried to set up email so she could check her Hotmail, but the setup wizard only shows one option - enterprise email through Exchange. I know when I use to use the Storm myself, I had both Hotmail and a POP email account set up with no problems. Is this a device issue or a carrier issue? I had Bell activate the Storm on a minimal (200MB) BlackBerry data plan and the phone seems to work fine (as a phone, at least!)
about company'S E-MAIL can not send ,but recieve can be done! useing iphone 4.when i make the address of e-mail on IPHONE 4,sometime the iphone 4 will be brake out? why?my company's e-mail address is [URL] pop&smtp is [URL]
att bold 9700.uber Noob with BB.Company email is Microsoft exchange "outlook" web based, so I can log into my email with username/password from any basic internet access port. company has BES for BB users and I've got BIS data plan. I'd rather not pay for the higher data plan as I pay my own expenses (including device and mth charges) and I don't have to have real time/instant email access to company mail. I WOULD like my phone to have it receive my comp mail by having my outlook email "forward" it (i've tried that with no success) or by programming my BB to "go check for mail" from that account every so often.
any ideas on how I can get my company "outlook" email to forward to my blackberry email? or even my YahooMail (it notifies me already)
I apologize if this question has been asked but I just can't seem to get a clear cut answer so I thought I ask the BB experts!I have a personal BB Bold 9000 phone. I have setup a Gmail account on my phone using POP3 and I see that my personal emails from Gmail are delivered to my Gmail inbox.
My company offers a BES server and last week they set me up so all my work email which is setup on Exchange is pushed to my phone. At this point, I have 2 accounts setup on my phone: a personal gmail account and a work exchange account.
Can my personal emails be seen by my company knowing that one uses POP3 and is delivered to its own mailbox and the other is setup on a BES account?I have disabled my contacts from being uploaded/synced with my work but I need to know if our IT can see my personal email. If so, how can I disable it?I want to say no, they can't but I am not 100%.
My browser and email stopped working about 3 days ago and I spent almost a whole day on the phone with support, no help. They had me do everything including delete all my service books and now there is nothing in the host routing table. They finally said, we cant help. My phone is stuck on lower case edge and I cant get data.

When writing your question Yesterday added Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1.4.17 to the phone, which previously had been provisioned by Verizon directly (connected to our exchange server). Email comes in just fine, but if I wish to either reply or forward the message, at the very top of the message, there is a note that states: "Send Using" and next to that is a button that shows "Desktop v" (the v is a down arrow). I am unable to change the Desktop button to my email account.
Saw the following post: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Storm-BlackBerry-9500/Composing-Sending-Emails/m-p... and tried changing the default, which it allowed me to do, but to no avail.I am unable to respond to or forward any emails I have received on the hand-held unit. The option to send is available but when I send it comes back with an error message that it is unable to send from desktop.
I am trying to add a second exchange email to my iphone, but when I do that it says it can not get the emails. I know the information is correct, so I am just wondering if it is possible to add two different exchange emails (from two different servers), to the phone.
I installed the Mail for Exchange 2.9.158. It works fine except for one thing. I am always getting a new email icon on the top left. I tried to mark all as unread and then mark them back as read to solve the problem but it doesn't work. The Mail for Exchange reports that it has no new email i.e.
Mail for Exchange (0)
But still the top left icon for new email appears. I do not have any other mailboxes defined in messaging. Please help me with this problem.
All my new emails coming in using exchange come in with no sender. It is only until I read my email from my computer does it know who the sender is. I am unable to reply to any email. This started directly after I jailbroke my iPhone 4. Is anyone else having this issue it is very annoying.
I'm thinking about switching to the HTC One from the iPhone. Can someone with the phone confirm whether the phone's stock email app (the one you use to connect to exchange, not the gmail app) supports conversation/threaded view?
I have recently updated from a 3GS to a iPhone 4S with IOS5.1.I run my small business using Microsoft Exchange 2003 hosted by my ISP.This arrangement worked fine with the 3GS but I'm having problems with the 4S.When opening mail it is either endlessly "connecting" or "checking for mail".Push mail works OK but often only downloads the header and not the full message - when you open the mail it is always "loading" the rest of the message. I have tried deleting my iCloud account and resetting my networks as recommended by others but neither have solved the problem.
I'm having a problem with the Exchange account on my iPhone 4S (iOS 5.1). Gmail and Hotmail both work fine, but Exchange frequently freezes and will not update at all. Usually restarting the phone fixes the problem, but not this time. I've restarted 3 times to no avail - the account hasn't updated in 15 hours.
Not sure what is going on, but I can no longer get my Exchange email. I can send to my self, but the email only shows on my laptop and not on my iPhone.
One of our clients recently changed from Android to the new BB Bold 9900, but we can't seem to get any exchange email to work. I believe the problem lies with the setup requiring OWA address, while our OWA is only internal only. With Android, all we had to do is put domain, exchange server and username. Is there hope still? Perhaps a thirdparty app?
I just set up an exchange email with my outlook on my pc. We do not use gmail. I want to be able to have my calendar and contacts sync automatically. However, if I delete mail from my phone, I do NOT want it deleted from my computer.
Need to confirm for corporate email account if the fingerprint can be use in the same manner as in the iPhone? or it gets grayed out and you have to use a password instead?
This is driving me nuts. I'm trying to link my Microsoft Outlook account to my E71 and I've downloaded Mail for Exchange. But when I get through the email set-up wizzard I get to the section Mailbox type and I am only given the options of POP3 or IMAP4....and not Mail for Exchange which is what I need. So I can't get my emails.
I currently have an iphone 4 and i'm using a 1and1 exchange hosting email account and they use forced password security policy.I.e. when you put the exchange account onto the phone it forces you to password the phone. Can anyone tell me if they have a) used hosted exchange email accounts on the Nokia Lumia 800 and everything works as expected i.e. email, calendar and contacts all sync up ok and If there is any problems with forced password security policys?
Today in the office we set up a microsoft exchange and OWA, nothing to big or fancy but we have a server etc. Now I logged into my BIS site, set up my email entering my own details and putting in our OWA details.. The email works fine, but it takes about 15 minutes for the emails to come through to the blackberry.. i thought that this was only with POP3 and if it ran off an exchange it would be near instant?
I'm using Bold 9900. Last time I can sending and receiving email from my work by using my BB device. Due to security policies I'm no longer able receive email from my work. I have to register my name (as blackberry user) and meet the company policies before able to receive push mail from exchange server.Since my Bold not provided by the company (this is my personal phone) so I don't want to meet the company policies as my office mate using Iphone, Android and Windows phone do not meet the policies at all for their personal phone and no problem with sending and receiving email.
