Apr 7, 2015Need to confirm for corporate email account if the fingerprint can be use in the same manner as in the iPhone? or it gets grayed out and you have to use a password instead?

I know that Android by default does the latter.
Galaxy S6 :: Exchange Email Device ID Change
May 19, 2015I have my work email setup on my phone using their webmail address. If I use the standard address, i am required to have Maas360 installed, which is not an option with me being rooted. Anyways, if I have the email program I use, which is either Nine or Mail Wise, setup for ActiveSync, my business server will catch it and block me. So, I have to setup the email app to scan for new emails every X minutes.
The problem I am running into, is I did not know that I had to have ActiveSync turned off, so now my device is banned when using Nine mail. So, I tried the same with Mail Wise, and got banned again. Now, on my third app, AquaMail, I have realized the problem, and its working great.
However, I would prefer to use Nine mail. When trying to go back into Nine and recreate my account, i get an error that my device is blocked. I get the same error on Mail Wise. Both list a different Device ID. NineXXXXXXX and MailWiseXXXXXXXX. Is there a way to change this ID? I tried creating a new ID in Titanium Backup and that didn't change the IDs in the mail apps.
Galaxy S5 :: Email / MS Exchange Will Not Sync When Not On A WiFi Network
Apr 28, 2014This is probably a configuration issue on my end that I cannot figure out the answer to....but when I am out of WiFi range, or I turn WiFi off my email wont sync or send and I get the error "Network Not Available: The message will be sent when the network is available" As soon as I turn wifi back on , it's fine. Is their a setting that tells an email account to only sync on WiFi? Or only send when on Wifi? It seems to ignore the 4G LTE network.

Jan 2, 2015I'm getting the error in the stock email app when trying to create a new email using my works email address.
Security warning: there are problems with security certificate for this site.
I then click continue and get this message.
Setup could not finish : unable to open connection to server. Security error occurred.
I have checked my security updates and it's all up to date. Is this a problem on my end or is it the how the exchange is set up to screw over android users at work? I have checked for a notification while doing it by scrolling down from the top and nothing is there.

Sep 23, 2014I just switched from an iphone. On my iphone, when viewing an email from my MS Exchange / Outlook or Hotmail account and I deleted that email, it would open another email. On my new S5, it goes back to the inbox. I would like it to work like it did on my old phone.I took this to the Verizon store and they didn't know how to fix it either.

Mar 30, 2015I have an SLS Galaxy 5. I am current on system updates. I am using the Email app for my exchange server email. Whenever I hit refresh, and often when I simply open the app, I get a message at the bottom of the screen that says 'Email sync turned off.' I have go to through the process of 'Manage Accounts, select account, Sync Settings, and check the 'Sync Email' box every time. Then it syncs, I read my email, exit the app, and I start the process over again the next time I open the app.

I have an iPhone 6S and on the first setup of Touch ID; it works about 99.9% of the time! Not sure why the S6 is not working but I going to contact Samsung and see what they say! Not happy at all with the fingerprint scanner not functioning at all! Brand new phone too!
I spend about 2 hours and did all my fingers on my right hand and it just will not recognize any of them! I even clean my right hand with orange peel soap to get all the oils out of my hand and dry it with air until it was dry as can be but still no luck with the ID!

Nov 4, 2015A few months back I flashed xtrestolite to my g920i and have since flashed odex, deodex and several aroma versions in different combinations. Since the initial flash the scanner has not worked. Currently using the latest unikernal, though was using a different one when I first flashed. TWRP latest too.
When I try *#0* and try the sensor test I see "unfortunately, hwmoduletest has stopped working" lTrying to utilise the scanner will always show "an error has occurred with the fingerprint sensor, if this message appears repeatedly please restart your device" though restarting has never worked. I have not tried going back to stock as my carrier rom is 5.0.2 still.

The S5 implementation of the data was horrible and Samsung is not to concerned it seems. At least Apple clearly outlines how and where the data is stored.

Jun 14, 2015Since short I have this new S6.I love the fingerprint authentication option.Every now and then though I get this message that an error has occurred in the fingerprint database. After this no fingerprints are recognized anymore and I'm forced to log in with the Backup password. After a reboot the issue seems gone, but then it returns after a while (period between seems to vary). I have four fingers entered in the database, that normally all four work correct.

I have set up all four fingerprint options on the phone, and have set the screen lock type as fingerprints. When I lock the phone, however, the security option is just a swipe. I have already tried a soft reset and would prefer not to do a hard reset because I just finished uploading contacts and photos. I have even tried the other security options such as a pattern or a passcode and when I set those as my screen lock options its still just a swipe.
