I already uninstalled the old version (1.8.0.28) but when I install the new one there will be a message "Application "FACEBOOK" already exists replace version 1.9.0.28 with version 2.0.0.58? YES or NO? if i click YES. it will then a message "There was a problem during installation. Please Try Again." -done phone restart. Used web same problem - app world same problem.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having some weird problem with Nokia E5. I got this phone with *supposedly* pre-installed skype ver 1.5(16) that I cannot find anywhere even in App Manager.
When I try to update to a later version it reports it will upgrade the existing version but the installation halts. "Unable to Install!"
How can I get rid of the existing *ghost* version is there anyway I can do that?
when i try to add a new contact it does not respond (in some cases the phone freezes) and i have to remove battery and start the phone again. again if I try to add any contacts it wont let me edit or create new contacts. Sometimes I got errors after the phone froze which were: net_rim_bb_addressbook_app(185) not responding. what can I do to resolve this?

I recently updated my n96 to version 30 software. On the software updates site it says this version has an integrated facbook application. Yet i cannot find this on my phone. Is the same app available to download from ovi or is it just like the ones that were available before that were just like a bookmark on my phone.

I've been getting fake notifications like crazy. for example, I'll get a pop-up notification that so-so (someone I don't have as a friend) sent you a message when I click on view and the app takes me to my facebook page theirs no message. Actually whenever I get one of these the badge on the facebook icon does not update. I just get the pop-up and that will also show on my lockscreen info.

I installed Kindle on my PC and downloaded the book in no time and then went to desktop to transfer it to the phone. The new version has no media sync for ebooks! The old one did and I used it all the time, now I got nothing. I can file transfer the book to the smart card, but the phone doesn't see it. How to sync ebooks these days?

I recently got a black berry storm 9530 and I'm trying to sync my facebook contacts to my phone and its not working. I went to verizon and they couldn't help me either. When I first set up the phone I set up a work related email (my facebook email is different) then I installed the facebook app and tried to sync my contacts. This failed it said it worked but there was no phone numbers or anything, then I added my facebook email and tried again. this still failed. I'm not sure what to do. the calander and birthday/ notifcations go through but i have no contacts. what should i do?

The new app will only display in portrait, which limits me to using a tin keyboard (not why I went with a Storm). It also will only scroll in reverse and the touch screen is very uncooperative. No other apps are this horrible. Why can't the app display in landscape as the old one did, giving me the full keyboard and NORMAL scrolling?
