Recently tried uploading new blackberry software (suggested by desktop manager) version 5.0 to my Jailbroken Verizon Storm 2, and in the middle of the uploading/upgrading the new software the screen turned white and this message appeared: Device Error: 367. Then below that, the word "Reset" is there but you cannot click it or do anything. The only way to get the screen to go away is to unattach the battery, but once you apply the battery back in, the white screen pops up with the same message. I tried sticking the usb/phone cord back in, but the software does not even recognize the phone anymore.
I've been trying to upgrade 188.8.131.52 to 184.108.40.206 and finding that the loader reaches "connecting to device rom" and hangs. After about a minute or two the process fails with a "fatal error" message. and the Storm restores the .164 os. Have tried repeated attempts and different usb ports. Incidentally i'm on Vodaphone UK and am now trying out leaked os as the current UK official version is well behind everything out there. Incidentally .167 is the Taiwan official recently released version.
Have tried both the Desktop Manager (internet disconnected) and App Loader, both same problem.

Anyway now the problem i am having is setup up emails.I go to setup>email settings> it attempts to connect then i get this message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server" any thoughts on this? Bulisani - say it phonetic American dreams got me in a fiend why shoot the breeze about it, when you can be about it!
I'm having a serious problem getting my device to back up. I'm not a novice with PC's, but I need help here.I have a Storm, have been able to back it up just fine until recently. My last backup was June 1st, and since then have not been able to resolve my issue. When I connect the device and attempt to backup manually it begins the process and halts every time when it gets to "Bluetooth Options". It's always the same place that it stops and I get the dreaded "Unknown Error" message. (Not very helpful!) I have installed DM software on an entirely different PC and I get the exact same result. I have done battery pulls several times (even removing the battery) but to no avail. The funny thing is, I've never used or even messed with the Bluetooth options. Strange.XP Pro on both PC's BB Desktop Manager v4.7 on both BB Storm OS - 148 (Verizon's official release) Outlook 2K7 on the first PC, 2K3 on the second PC I need help quick so I'm not going forward without a current backup. Please let me know if you need more information from me.
I keep getting an error on my Storm: "Device memory not accessible due to detected errors. Please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer"
I pulled the SD card and the error is still present. When I try to view the device memory via Options > Memory > Device Memory it says: "Device memory cannot be read. Verify that the device memory is formatted."
It just barely began acting like that and I can't think of anything that I have done that may have corrupted any files.
i have tried updating my 9530 software from the device manager on my computer and from the BB site and get the fatal error has occured while updaiting my devices software. i went to the BB site to get tech support but it seems like one can only get support if you pay for it.does anyone know how to get support or how to solve this problem?
I have made 3 attempts to update the device software on my Blackberry and every time I get an error message part way through the update then my Blackberry turns itself off and reboots. Error message: A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again. This happens at the same point every time - task 6 of 12 - reconnecting jvm.
When I get a phone call from anyone I get the following error:Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app(72) is not repsonding; process terminated
When this happens, I hear the phone ringing but I can not answer it.It just stops restarts the ringing process. Sometimes the error does not even pop up until the 3rd or 4th time trying to answer the phone.
Then if the person hangs up, it continues to ring over and over again. There is no way to stop the ringing unless I do a battery pull. Even if you turn it off and turn the phone back on it will continue to try to ring.

I have uninstalled and re-installed and still have this problem.
My computer is not recognizing my Storm today suddenly. When I plug it in I get a "USB Device not recognized" error.I've tried different USB ports, restarting the computer and the Storm, and reinstalling the Blackberry software but nothing has helped. I'm running Windows XP SP3, and .75 firmware.
I rec'd my first Storm in Nov, 08. It would continually give me a device error message and reboot. Happened when I was typing in my password, typing a text message or IM'g my husband who also has a blackberry. So, called Verizon and they sent me a new one.Now I am having the same problem and I am ready to throw this phone in the garbage. It's just so annoying. I'll be in the middle of typing, and then the phone flases a white screen with "device error" and then goes to black screen and then reboots. I have even slowed down my rate of typing to see if that is the problem. And with the Device Error...it happens so fast (white screen with very very small device error message) that i cannot read or see the error number...1When I call Verizon they don't seem to be able to explain why or how to fix it.
Blackberry Model: 8820 Device Software version: 18.104.22.168 Desktop Software version: 22.214.171.124 Carrier: Singapore Telecom Mobile Pte Ltd(https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/browseSoftware.do). Everytime I start up my desktop software, it would prompt me that there are newer versions for some of the applications in my blackberry such as my browser, brickbreaker etc. So I followed through their instructions to install these updates. When it reached step 3/11, an error would occur while it say it was trying to turn on my radio Here's the screenshot of the error:
But I do observed that @ task 1/11, it switched off my radio. @ task 3/11 it tried to switch back on again. thats when the error occurred. when I unplugged my device after the error, I saw that my mobile connection was off and my blackberry had to re-connect again. I do admit that my area has pretty bad reception, but that cant be the problem right? On top of that, maybe I also like to pop another 2 questions: 1) Why is it I cant set up my email? I followed the instructions here: http://na.blackberry.com/eng/support /blackberry 101/setup.jsp#tab_tab_email but my setup wizard dont have the option to select "I want to create or add an email address"I only gives me the option of the enterprise mail 2) I tried to browse to to te blackberry website using my blackberry, but its says my device is not supported. Any way to solve this?
For some unknown reason, whenever I turn on my BB 9000, I get the following error message : - Uncaught exception: net.rim.vm.StackOverflowErrorIt doesn't seem to be effecting my BB. I had been trying to get the Freedom 2 Keyboard to work prior to this. I have tried the usual removing the battery but it still comes up.
For some reason my app loaded decided to stop working. It was working fine, I have been making and adding themes no problem, then all of a sudden I'm getting a "there is no applications for your device" error when I try to install an .alx theme file. I googled and everything says to reinstall both the DM and BB devise software on the PC. I did that, uninstalled both, downloaded from Verizon and reinstalled and I'm getting the same error.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? I made a theme that I really want to try out and now I can't get it on the berry. And if it matters its a Verizon Curve 8330 using OS 4.3.
I have looked everywhere on my phone and can't find the "Device Memory Limit" anywhere. I've gone to Media > Options > and then according to everywhere I look Device Memory Limit is supposed to be there but it's not there on my phone. What am I doing wrong? I would like to increase it to d/l larger videos but I can't.
Didn't get that BB notice for the new App World. Found out today and tried it out. Pretty nice GUI and smooth walk through. One thing that bugs me is that, there are more devices from BB available and one store for all of them. How do you know it the App you want is compatible with your device. Are all the App filtered before hand for your device when you do a search or click on a category? Could someone clear this up for me.
On device with keyboard there is "Alt+Enter" key combination to invoke "Switch input language" popup to change input language. What shall be done on Storm device to invoke "Switch input language" popup ?
I got my Blackberry storm phone approximately 2 weeks ago and it was working perfectly. I was able to Back-up my files and Synchronize my Contacts from the Windows Address Book. I had 68 Contacts in it and today I added 5 more to make it 73. I went to synch the phone and right as it was about to synch the contacts, I got a "Intellisync Connector Specific Error" message. I then checked the logs and on the bottom of the log, it says "Internal Error #4238".
I deleted and re-installed the Blackberry Desktop Manager, and reset my computer and phone several times. I also wne to the Advanced section and deleted the contacts from the phone and tried re-installing them and it only installed 44 of them and got the same "Intellisync Connector Specific Error" message.
When Syncing my BlackBerry Storm 9550 with my PC Desktop Outlook, I get the following message: Error Encountered.Error Code - Ox80040fb3.Check Documentation? This has happened several times, and it always seems to stop when about 1/4 way through synchronizing contacts. I have even re-downloaded the most recent software upgrade for the device, which completely re-sets the email setup etc. and programs I use. However, I get the same error message, nearly at the same point every time in the synchronization.I cannot get through a synchronization now without this happening, and my device now has only a portion of the contacts database available to use for phone, email etc.
i went in Internet in my storm's browser, how do i save videos from Internet to storm's media card? i have storm's setting to save video to media card. i managed to "bookmark" a area in Internet, so i know where to find it. (storm's browser)
I looked in the search and I can't get any help from it. I tried changing the browser configuration to internet browser but it keeps changing back. I can't download any apps because I keep getting the same message...
"HTTP Error 403: Forbidden You are not authorized to view this page. Please try loading a different page."
I'm looking to remove voice dialing from my storm but can't find a device software download that works. When I tried to get it from verizon's site it would not let me download the mr3 update to my computer.
I have a BB storm 9530 that is currently unlocked. It is a verizon wireless phone, but I am currently using it on the t mobile network. I had upgraded the phone's os system to the official 126.96.36.1998 os that was released by verizon online the phone was much faster and responsive, but I could not make any phone calls. I was recieving the "no circuit/no channel" error code. Can you please instruct me on what to do. I would like to find an os that will work on the T mobile network. I am sick and tired of using os v188.8.131.52 (platform 184.108.40.206)
