I am using the BB bold 9000 and I am new to BBM - I just downloaded the new version. When I try adding contacts, they say that they receive my invitation, accept, and then I disappear from their contact list. This has been the case with at least 6 people. On my side, they never move from 'pending contacts' into 'contacts'. I deleted my BBM and reinstalled etc. but I still have the same problem.

It seems the phone takes all the people in my address book and does a google search or facebook search and it will actually add a photo of the person (which I do not want) and it will not let me delete these new mysterious entries?All VErizon said was I have to make sure contact sync in unchecked in the phone which is it but in Gmail there is no place to unsync contacts. My husband's Droid Turbo: For some reason, he is forced to enter a year and that messes with the Birthdays Calendar on his google account. Birthdays entered on his contacts do not display ever year on his calendar.

Let's face it: we all have to deal with those automated call systems from time to time. They can be particularly annoying if they block you from connecting directly to the person you are tying to get by entering an extension number.
You can create a contact and enter in the number. Next press Sym and tap "Wait(,)" Two is the recommended amount. After pasting, type the extension. Tadah! Now you have attached an extension to a phone number.
After adding a new contact, it does not integrate into the contacts list. It just sits at the top of the list.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI think about 90% of my contacts in my address book on my Tour had all of a sudden disappeared. Yes, I didn't do anything and it's gone! Well this is what happened. I added a new email account to my BB and it was "activating" the email account. There was also a new icon that showed up while "activating". After about 20 minutes it's done "activating" and the icon was gone. So I thought everything was fine and dandy. The next day, I was told that my windows live account kept on signing in and out on it's own every few minutes. I made a call using speed key and there was no name for the number (the call did go through though). So I went to my address book and saw that 90% of my contacts had disappeared. That's what happened. I did not do a back up before I added a new email account to BB.

How on earth can i add a Name with a Numerical keypad? Why do we have to have an email contact in the email app and a phone contact in the phone contact not unified in one contacts app?

A mere single contacts app should be the HQ for all forms of initiating communication with a known contact, but with Xperia and Android, it seems that you have to have to find Mr Smiths email address by going to email app, and his phone number by going to contacts app.
The stupidest thing about the Xperia is that the phone app says ""Enter Name or Number" but only allows you to enter a Number, and has no Keyboard to enter a Name!
Very recently I cleared all my contacts, then sync my contacts with my gmail account. The problem is that it is adding on to my internal memory, why is this happening when I have sync my contacts with gmail. I do not have any contact on my phone. If I can find a solution for this, it will save 7.5mb of my space, where in I can accommodate something useful.

I created two ringtones, not having an issue with that... found a FREE app on the iPhone to download and create a ringtone. I'd created two (2) tones, I want one to be for my wife's number when she calls, and the other to be ID as default when anyone calls, but I can't choose both of the ring tones I created and sync to the iPhone, it only appears as the recent ring tone I sync to the phone.
My specs: 3GS 16GB (NEW since this past Friday 29th of Jan), using Windows Vista and the recent iTunes software for the PC.
Maybe it isn't done?!I when inside "contacts" tried it in there, and to no avail it isn't showing but the recent sync tone I have. I guess the phone had deleted the first and kept the most recent? Can this phone have multiple tones for different (#'s) you have stored on your phone
