BB Curve 8900 :: Adding Contacts Via Sync
Mar 16, 2010What would be the best way to add a large number of contacts to my curve? I need to add about 50-80 contacts and put them in a group as well. Would outlook still be the best way?

Aug 24, 2012When I got my phone, the Verizon rep helped move my 3000 contacts from my old phone to the new one.They are all there in the phone.But, they will not sync up into Outlook via MS Exchange.It WILL sync a newly added Contact, so sync is working between my phone and Outook.This works both directions, whether I create a new record on my phone or create the new record in Outlook.It just won't work with the ones loaded on the phone at the time of purchase.How tag all my original Contacts on my phone so they will flow up into Exchange/Outlook?

Jul 5, 2012I'm not sure when it started, I'll guess shortly after a small wetness issue, but I have not been able to add contacts to my blackberry for almost maybe 3-4 months now. Anytime i click on new contact my phone freezes n I have to restart it.how to solve this problem I dont want to do a full reset if i don't have to.

Also i think the phone got little slow.My BB Pin is 21921334.I am struggling now with my bb. i dont wanna loose it because i am so attached to my bb.I think there are only about 300contacts saved on the phone.

May 26, 2010I have Yahoo and GMail on my BB. With GMail I can use Google Sync to sync contacts, calendar etc automatically. Also with Google Sync, any replies you do on your BB are automatically updated in you Gmail.Now, the question is, is there something like that for Yahoo? I have searched and don't seem to have had any luck. The closest I can come to is actually looking at my Yahoo account on the browser, but that's not what I want.

I want to sync it with my work outlook account and it works fine except it doesn't Auto Sync even though I have the option Enabled any thoughts? I can sync but I have to do it manually every time I connect the phone.

When I get to select device application, I choose calendar but the only choices I have are ASC Importer/Exporter and Yahoo. Jul 10, 2010I have got a 8900, in India and am using the data plan to monitor my personal emails.Problem is that 'contacts' shows *no contacts*.When i go into options of contacts to sim phone book, (Contacts> sim phone book) i can see about 25 contacts. I have tried to copy all contacts of sim phone book but it still doesnt show up in contacts ( Contacts> sim phone book> Copy all to contacts). When i click on this, a status bar goes to 100% in a second, but contacts still show *no contacts*
I have saved many contacts on this handset through call register and messages and hence when i go to (Contacts> options> contact lists>defauly) the number of entries shows 320. I have noticed it increases as and when i add new contacts.Still no contacts shown in 'contacts'. Hence have to dial each contacts number before making a call or search from call register. Can someone pls help me with this. Also meanwhile if anyone could help by letting me know how i can make my call register remember calls of say last 10 days or 100 last entries.
BB Curve :: 8900 Won't Save New Contacts
Nov 1, 2012I have my partners old 8900 curve and have been using it fine for a year, except that his old contacts were saved on the phone and mine on the SIM. I decided to delete his old contacts so I could copy mine over, I found on the internet that you can use RSET in the contact menu to delete all contacts at once. It worked perfectly but now the Blackberry will not save any new contacts, at all, ever!
It won't copy them from the SIM and it won't even save a contact when entered manually. I don't use it for anything other than phone calls and emails, so it has no apps that I know of.Also I have no software on my laptop to back it up or update it etc, I really only use it to read emails and receive phone calls when i'm not in the office.

Jul 20, 2011I have an 8900 that I wire sync to Outlook 2003 on my PC. Have calendar dates back to 2000. It will sync but alwasy wants to delete things in 2000 and now 2001. So I have to fish them out of the deleted items in Outlook and put them back. Memory seems to be fine on the BB and settings are "forever" and "two way sync."

May 12, 2010Earlier today I went to put some pictures of my Curve on to the computer so I plug it in etc. it then tells me I need to update the phone so I agree. It was taking a while to update and I had a bus to catch so against my better judgement I disconnected the phone and now I get the "App Error 205." Mar 11, 2010This week I left an employer to go to another one. I have not started with the new one yet. I have a personal BB Curve 8900 with work email and one personal email on it. This evening I got the email from the old employer IT dept that they had terminated the work email and BB BES service. Nearly simultaneously, I lost all my personal contacts (which were downloaded off my old flip phone when I got the BB, not from the employer), my personal email account, my calendar, and the memopad documents I had saved for the last 7 months. The phone also reset, removed my password, reset the ringtone, reset the bluetooth settings for my PLT510, and who knows what else. The only evidence that this was still my phone was that my pictures and .mp3s are still there. when an employer terminates blackberry service, is it possible for them to essentially wipe your blackberry clean without your knowledge or consent? If so, how can you set it so that doesn't happen again? If not, is it possible that it is just a huge, inconvenient coincidence, and my BB is experience a major technical difficulty?

May 18, 2010I have a bb curve 8300 from sprint and for 4 times in a row with two phones, i have an error message that pops up after taking out the battery. every time i get it the sprint store resets the phone and wipes all my contacts and calendar entries. this is getting very frustrating and making me want to get rid of my blackberry even though i like it a lot. once i get the error message is says resent under it and if you press it, it looks like its starting up again but then the error message comes up and that it. it just does it over and over again.
