BB Software :: OS5 For 8520 On Orange?

I bought a 2nd hand BB Curve 8520 about 6 months ago, and had it unlocked to use on Orange. My problems started on Sunday - I was unable to connect to the internet using WiFi or my unlimited access. Since Monday I have discovered that I cannot receive phone calls - it goes straight to voicemail, and any texts / emails / FB notifications I receive are massively delayed.Orange don't seem to know what the problem is. I have performed a factory reset, and the problem has not resolved. I am currently waiting to hear back from Orange, as my call was "escalated" to another department. So far I haven't heard anything, but they did say 24 hours... it's been about 23!

Did anyone else here buy the iPhone 4 on an Orange contract?I have the Your Orange app and there was an update for it this morning, and it now shows your data usage since your last bill. However, in my settings it says I have used 23.5mb + 168mb, and in the Your Orange app it says I have used 305mb! Quite a big difference

My phone battery won't charge above orange. it goes back down to red whilst still plugged in, then instead of the lightning sign, it is a small plug on the battery icon. It then charges again to orange, stops, and repeats. Do i need a new battery?

I live in England and have a Blackberry Bold 9700 on Orange. For months now I've had the desktop software version 6 and have recently installed an update for it of 6.1; yet it always says there is no update available for software on my phone. However, when I took my phone in for repair they updated it to 0S6, so did they use a leaked version then? The reason I ask is because that phone eventually got replaced with the same make and model but came with the older software, and I miss OS6 but am wary of downloading a leaked version.
So was just looking for some advice really - will Orange be releasing 0S6 for Bold 9700 or will I have to get a leaked version and if so how do I do this, hopefully without causing any problems to my phone?

Just got my Nokia N8 on Orange and am having problems with accessing the internet. I can access the net using a WLAN without any problems but can't access the internet using orange.I've been offered this advice from Orange Technical services:1. Accept the Orange Software update (sent via text) - done2. Accept Orange GPRS WAP services update - done3.Select Orange GPRS via 'desintionations' as the default access point - done4. Select it again via the browser - doneOrange has said that the above is all they can offer and is convinced my brand new handset is faulty. I'm not too sure about their diagnosis, as I'm convinced it's a configuration problem.

I'm looking to buy the Bold 9700 on Orange basically due to the UMA feature. However, I have a couple of questions which I hope someone can help with
-regarding the branding/software - have Orange added loads of their own software i.e orange world icons etc? And do they cause phone to be compromised in any way compared to O2, Vodafone etc?

today i got my brand new bold 9700!I have found out how to remove the bottom part which is branded ORANGE beneath the keyboard.However i am just wondering as when i turn the phone off an annoying ORANGE
logo is shown and shows when you also turn it on...
How can i remove this ?? i dont think i can see any other part of the software that orange has included apart from their own link to services

I recently bought an iPhone 3GS from a UK seller. However, he lied about it not being locked to any carrier. I assume it's locked to orange, as that's what the "Service"-bar indicates in his pictures, so I wondered what's the cheapest way to permanently unlock it from abroad? (I'm in Denmark)

I got my 9700 abt 6wks ago, everything was working fine, Then abt 2 weeks ago I started getting "Call Failed" when trying to make calls. Now I get it 90% of the time, and after investigating I can not receive incoming calls either.I have contacted Orange who say it might be a network / location issue, but not sure and have not had any other complaints? However I have not moved and I get this all the time in my house, where as 6weeks ago it was fine. And also when connected in the car driving around in different areas to my home town it still happens.It seems to be a bug on the handset as my signal strength is full 5bars, 3G displayed, etc. Setting under NETWORK MODE - 3G & 2G, if I set this to just 2G then this fixes it!I am running v5.0.0.351 (plat 5.1.0.98).I have tried hard resets, wipes etc, and I finally got Orange to sent me a new handset.Still not working! I have also down loaded and installed what I think is the latest firmware update available for the 9700 from Jordan v5.0.0.442., still no fix so reverted back to v5.0.0.351.I think it might be that I have a weak 3G signal where I live, but switching over to UMA and connecting in my house through this still does not fix it? Is there a known bug that the 9700 gets confused/freezes when trying to switch in and out of 3G/2G/UMA coverage? From Googling Call Failed BB 9700 etc it seems that there are a few others out there with the same issue??? Any help how to fix/what firmware works etc It is driving me crazy because I do not recieve calls, sms etc either!

I been w/o a blackberry for 6 wks now! I finally got my Berry here and guess what the 4 day outage happened!Anyways, I just recently got a plan with Orange, BIS plan. I popped in my SIM and went to host routing services clicked "register" optionNothing, is there something I need to do? The orange customer service is pathetic as they have NO idea what theyre doing, Ive called countless of times and they keep telling me to pull the battery and it should work and nothing yet. Do they need to do something with service books? or what do I need to do?The people at orange keep telling me to do a battery pull(which Ive done SO many times I'm afraid its gonna damage the phone) and I keep registering the host routing service but nothing. I still havent received anything.

I am now in India and i am using Vodafone SIM in my Blackberry. how Could you please Help me to Update it to OS 6? i know the back button and menu buttom supposed to be white and i checked with 2 friends of mine that also got the s6 and its white in their phones. also the home button is kinda moving but not so much... when i checked with my friends phone it wasn't moving. you think i should use my warranty for such a stupid thing? also the device is original and not fake. the screen sometimes (it didn't happen me in 5 days and today it happend again) the touchscreen stop responding to my finger for about a second. lets say i want to click an app so when i first clicked it it didn't work but when i tap again it worked. i think this is normal because sometimes you dont press very well.. any way. orange back and menu buttons and tell me if you got it to(inside a house,outdoor its white because of the sun) and the home key that is kinda moving (not so much but a little bit more than my friends does)

My contract with Orange is up so I phoned to get a PUC code and bought a sim only Tesco Mobile Contract. Put in the Tesco sim, mmm doesn't work but thought I had an already unlocked phone. Phoned Orange, yes they will charge me £20 approx to unlock it, will send the request to Apple and shoudl take up tp 20 days. Heard nothing from them so called them back 22 days later - the reply I got was they contacted Apple who have refused to unlock the phone as it is an unregistered device - ie not a paired device? They told me Apple have declined to unlock it as it is considered to be a non paired device. Orange have told me to speak to Apple and as I had given Orange permission to send the request on my behalf. Orange said when I bought it brand new it should of come with a sim - I said no it shouldn't cause I bought a brand new unlocked (or so I thought) phone. So now what do I do - do I phone Apple and pay the £25 incident charge and they will unlock it or if I pay it and they don't unlock it I loose £25 or do I go back to Orange and chase them again. The reason I bought it not direct from Orange as I broke my old phone while still in a years contract with orange and they would not let me upgrade and pay the difference for an iPhone, they told me they would repair my phone (which I told them would not be cost effective as I dropped it in the sea while canoeing!) hence why I bought a new phone - it is registered and have had no problems with it.

I just rooted and unlocked a SG2 that was on the 3 network. I ran Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock after rooting using ODIN etc - I put in the unlock code and it said unlock successful. After putting in my Orange SIM and switching on, I am getting the network error symbol and am unable to make calls. (Interestingly, I do get the Orange SIM Plus app icon on the phones desktop. Also, the phone still boots with the 3 logo - was expecting this to have disappeared completely!).

I wanted to update to ICS Android 4.0 on my Orange branded S2 NFC. I was told by Orange support to download Kies. I did, had a few problems getting the phone to connect to the software including a few driver crashes. After it finally connected, it offered me ICS which I accepted. But every time I have downloaded the update it then fails saying "Failed to run firmware upgrade. Unknown error occurred."
I have uninstalled kies and the driver from my PC (windows 7 home premium 32bit) and reinstalled to no effect. Turned off the phone, taken out the battery, turned off wi-fi and data.
If it wasn't for the fact the orange "signal boost" app has been quite useful in my dead zone of a flat I would root the phone and unbrand it and download the update off the net.

I have a BlackBerry 9900 on which i have set up 3 email accounts. One of them is my University address which works perfectly, it has ever since I activated BIS. Two of them are gmail accounts - but neither work. Although I validate them I get an error message saying that I have to activate IMAP on gmail.
