The GPS on my BB is terrible. It is never within 1800 yds. (over a mile). Often it is worse. My daughter has a new DROID which is spot on with GPS location. Latitude usage is worthless as is mapping and GPS directions. Also, Blackberry Maps rarely can find a satellite signal and Google Maps has no problems. Is there any way to fix these or do I need to change to an apparently better smartphone?

So just got my 6p yesterday but it seems as though ambient display although turned on is not working ND when I answer a phone call my screen stays black during the call and won't wake up.
So apparently it's because the tempered glass screen protector is covering the proximity sensor. I still have to actually test that theory out once I get a new protector but from doing some digging that most def it. Just a heads up I used the one by super shieldz so don't buy that one until they make a cut out for the sensor.

I honestly don't know whats up with my phone, I bought my E72 around 2 months ago and paired it with a no contract pay monthly deal from T-Mobile and it worked perfectly fine till now. Earlier this week I got an angry text message from someone because they had called my phone over 10 times over the course of the day and left voicemails but didn't answer. My phone hadn't rung and showed no missed calls or even voicmail messages. It sputtered a bit after that, having bad connectivity in areas that it used to perform fine before, until it reached the point where I had no connectivity anywhere! Every now and again i get some bars appear but when I make a call they quickly dissapear and the phone says no network coverage.
Obviously I guessed this must have been a screwup from T-Mobile and I spent all my morning yesterday pacing back an forth in one of their outlets as the kids behind the desk called up different people trying to figure out why it doesn't work. First thing that was checked was the phones settings, which seemed fine, then they switched the sim card assuming it had died. After that made no change they had someone over the phone reset the service settings (whatever the hell that is). They even tried the SIM card on a phone they had there and it worked perfectly. After a couple other dead ends we tried restoring the factory settings on the phone which allowed us to make one phone call to their offices landline.
But any other call didn't work, and its been that way since either having no connectivity or occasionally letting one get through but cutting of any sound from my mic. Oddly enough I get text messages and my email works fine (which i heard doesn't use WiFi, only the phone services connection) so im at wits end with this. I will me more than glad to apologize if this turns out to be a problem with T-Mobile, but after all my insisting I see no results from complaining to T mobile. I'd like to hear some feedback on what could have possibly gone wrong. My phone has not gotten wet recently and it wasn't dropped, in fact I cant think of any reason that might have sparked this problem. Sorry for turning this into a short novel, but I am desperate to find anyone who might have a clue whats going on. I plan to visit another t mobile store soon and a nokia outlet as well to see who might help but any support is more than welcome.
I wanted to free up some space on my device (LG G3). I didn't want Google on my phone so not knowing I deleted everything to do with Google. Well the next time I tried to go onto the google playstore or youtube (app)it says its not supported by my device but it is supposed to be on my device because it was on my device earlier. I deleted all the google apps and other things of google with ROM FILE MANAGER and I didnt backup my device. I tried factory reseting my phone. But when I did that the app google or google playstore is not showing up, and when I try to update google it gives me the same message its not supported on your device(google).

View 4 Replies View RelatedUpdated Z3+ to Marshmallow 5.0.2 and subsequently discovered (on the first day back to work) that alarms (native clock) no longer work after the phone is left overnight.
Have checked notifications, priority status, display settings etc. Have force closed, cleared cache and re-started. No success.
If I test the alarm during the daytime (with normal phone usage) it works fine, the problem only occurs when the phone is left idle for extended periods.
Have spent hours on forums looking for solutions, with some references to Doze causing issues, although seemingly not with native clocks and as far as I can tell, not with Xperia devices.
Despite trying the various fixes on other threads, I cant get the FM radio to work.
I download another FM radio app (have tried 3). they all report FM radio is missing.
I love the phone but unless FM radio is functioning its going to have to go back.
I listen to football mostly and due to licensing issues BBC local radio are not allowed to stream football commentary across the internet..
Hope we can get it working. If not I'm sure that you used to able to get a fm radio that was installed on the headphone leads. Cant seem to find them any more.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Verizon HTC One M8. The phone is great, but Google Hangouts rarely sends or receives MMS messages. Most of the time, it fails to send an MMS message, but when it does, it usually takes over 20 minutes.
The stock messaging app works fine and has no issues sending or receiving MMS instantly. However, I prefer Google Hangouts.
Also, I am not asking for solutions such as shutting off wifi or anything involving wifi calling being shut off because I don't have to do that with the stock messaging app and I do not plan to compromise by disabling another important feature in my phone.

I have installed the Adobe flash player, but when I f.ex go to bet365 to stream live matches then it wants to download a playlist instead of streaming the video?
Thumbnails are working, everything is loading fast, its just that the video wont load. All my other apps work perfectly. It will just stay at the black screen with the circle in the middle.

When she clicks on the button it gives a status bar and then proceeds to say the phone needs to be on data. The same type of message happens when trying to send an MMS.
I have the S4 on the same network and I can do all of this on wifi without any issues.

I then went to my local service provider and received a micro-sim on a pay-as-you-go deal. Phone worked perfectly for 2 and half months. I did the 5.1.1 update two nights ago and now the phone is saying: "Only compatible sim cards from a supported carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the sim card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported carrier store to receive a replacement sim card."
I visited both VODACOM (in South Africa) and IStore (3rd party retailer of APPLE as there is NO Apple store in Africa). I put in the original AT&T sim, the phone switched on and recognises me but obviously there is no service because AT&T is not in South Africa. I then put in my Vodacom sim and it rejects it. I used the phone perfectly for 2+months and since the update this problem occured.

I am assuming this is a network issue but I thought I would throw this out there! I sold two 9300 devices yesterday with a email and bbm data package on them and the wifi will not work on either device. Other berries will work on wifi off the same router.
