im using blackberry storm 2 and i dont know why when i try to connect to 3g, it doesnt work and appear sos on the line coverage. my storm also get full coverage when at certain place only .
"Just got my Blackberry Torch 9810 and I can't connect to AT&T's Network! I get an error saying that there is insufficent network coverage and yet when my girlfriend tries on her Pantech Impact, sitting right next to me, she has no problem. I'm able to make and receive calls and I have 3 bars showing in the signal strength indicator.
I just asked this question over on the AT&T Blackberry Forum but I haven't got a response yet so I thought I would ask it here too.
Since then, I called AT&T for help and they told me that it is probably because when I received my phone I should've left the new SIM card in it and activated it, rather than just popping in my old SIM card, is this true? In the past, I think I've just inserted my old SIM Card and everything worked as it should without performing a new activation.
I'm using my Bold 9700 and where I should be on 3G I'm only on EDGE I have tried searching manually with 2G & 3G selected but I can still only connect to 2G
I have bought my Xperia Z3 Dual recently here in Brazil, however the cellphone have the issue that it does not connect on the LTE network.I have configured it properly following the telecommunications corporation and have checked my info about my plan, however I cant connect to the LTE.
Yesterday I was informed by an Apple rep over the chat support site, that the 4S when upgrade with the iOS 5.1. That it does indeed connect to the 4G network. I find it very strange that the carriers have no information on this. If Apple has a iphone that connects to the 4G network. How come they have not informed the carriers? I just spoke with Verizon and they have no information of this that I was informed of yesterday by Apple. I upgraded my daughters phone to an iphone 4S 16G and could not get the promotion, because as far as Verizon understood this phone only operates on the 3G network.
I just updated my HTC One X to 4.1 on 26th of Sept 2012, and my phone will no longer connect to 3G network any more. Is this a provider problem? or Android/HTC screw up? I've tried rebooting, and checking all setting's, also tried to manually turning the network on, and off.
My n86 8MP are trying to connect to a network ALL the time. Even when i have turned of to NEVER at Tools, Connection Wireless LAN, and Internet connection test. There is no program open i background either. What can that be? Could it be my Email program Check interval? Even if the email program are totally closed?
I logged on to the work wifi with my 5800 some time ago.Ever since I've had the phone I've struggled to get the Nokia browser to automatically connect to the Orange Internet (3G) access point.Instead it always prompts"Select Connection" and I have the options "Search for WLAN", "Internet" or "Uncategorised".Internet always used to be "Orange Internet" but now the default is "Internet - <my work> wifi".
This would be fine if I only used the phone for internet at work, but obviously I do not.Can anyone tell me how to put it back to having "Orange Internet" as the default, and ideally connecting automatically without the prompt.I've found under settings>general>accesspoint you can set it to either "Always ask" "Internet" or Uncategorised" but as "Internet" is currently set as my work wifi, this isn't an option.
Okay so there's this WiFi network at school. It is unsecured, and my teacher always connects to it. On my iPhone 3G it never shows up, though after I scan for networks using Stumbler (Stumbler says it's not hidden btw) it appears in the settings. So I click on it and it says "Cannot connect" (or something along those lines) and after the third try it disappears again. I tried using SpoofMAC to spoof my mac address to 11:11:11:11:11 and that didn't work.
Is there any way to connect to the VPN Network automaticly?I'd like to use my WiFi a little more comfortable without the need to always switch it manual on and put in my password.
I have a Sprint Bold 9650 OS ver: 5.0.0.621.I cannot connect to a 3G network when I set it for GSM. The phone is currently set on 1XEV network and even so i get two to three bars maximum everywhere i go. In the two days since ive had the phone I haven't had full service anywhere. Im in the New York area and I understand that Sprint's 3G network is extensive so I dont understand why i wouldn't have coverage unless it may be an issue with the headset.
I deleted by mistake my saved wi-fi network and now i can not conect automatically. To the "SSID" I wrote the name of the network but i still can not conect.
Okay, so I have a blackberry bold 9700 smartphone (3G, Wifi) v5.0.0.422 (platform 5.1.0.121), i know i havent updated in a while.
It seems to be picking up Rogers network, when I am on the Telus network. It will not find the Telus network at all. I've tried pulling out my simcard, and resetting it. I've tried to manually select Telus, but it will not come up, it says: Mobile Network: *none* or Rogers.
my phone was working fine until it suddely wouldn't pick up a signal? i've tryed changing sim cards and i've checked with everyone on the same network if there's is working fine and it is what can i do? i've also updated my phone and restarted it multipel times.
Tried to connect to wifi through my router at home. While the phone listed my home network as a saved network QWD-59989 WPA2 Personal, it fails to connect. I get a message to verify saved network's security settings, but I do not know where to find the settings. Also, what is the passphrase - is it the router key?
I have Torch 9800 and some days ago it doesn't connect to the network. Works by wifi but if I try to call or receive it tells me "No service". If i pu the sim into another phone it works correctly.
I have a fairly used BB Tour, branded for verizonewireless, which I have been using on MTN network in Nigeria for the past five months. In the last eight days my connection to the BB network stopped and I have not been able to connect to the internet or the BBM. I find it difficult to even top up my phone except through vtu, and my contract with the MTN is active until December 8th. I heard that it is a global problem.
I cannot connect to my mobile network. I recently got a bb 8800 which has been unlocked to all networks (checked this all categories disabled when I type MEPD).
I have a sim card with three (network) but it won't connect to the mobile network just displays SOS in the top right corner.
I have tried restarting/taking out battery/changing sim/leaving for hours but nothing. In manage connections it is set to orange when I try to scan for available networks it only displays orange, vodafone, O2 and t-mobile and all of these won't connect.
what to do I lost my old bb (and didn't have insurance silly me) so got a replacement sim from my network and managed to get this 8800 for a good price but that's no good if it's not connecting.
I recently brought a new Sony Xperia Neo L. It is working fine with 3G network but when I am trying to connect to 2G network, it always display unable to connect selected network. I have tried to repair my cell phone using PCC and also done factory reset many times but every times it is only able to connect to the 3G network.
I had my phone linked to my home WiFi network, then I switched internet providers and temporarily had different WiFi credentials so I clicked "forget this network." Now I have set up my WiFi with the same SSID and Password as before but my phone won't auto connect.
My wife's phone stopped working last weekend. I went through the T-mobile technical care people and their solution was to replace the phone. Unfortunately the phone has a small crack in the bottom bezel so they won't replace it unless I pay the $175 deductible. I am hands on enough to fix some parts of the phone (I've replaced the screen on my G3 twice) so I thought I'd give it a shot here.
Her phone will work on wifi, but if you turn wifi off or if she goes out of wifi range her phone stops working. When the t-mobile person tried to have me manually connect it to the network, it said unable to connect to the network, please try again. We did a soft and hard reset. They tried to refresh my network connectivity and none of these options worked. We moved the sim card into my phone and it worked just fine. So obviously there is a hardware issue going on.
I switched to a new mobile provider but I wanted to keep my old mobile number, so I applied to keep my old number through a porting application. I was given a new sim which I put in my LG Nexus 5, and my old sim was in another mobile.
An hour after the porting was applied for, the reception fell to nothing on my old sim and older mobile. This was to be expected of course. However, the reception on my new sim/LG nexus 5 also fell to "emergency calls only" so the porting didn't quite work. I made sure that the APN is correct. I can search for the available networks, but when I press to register after a while I get an error: "Can't connect to this network right now. Please try again later".
I called my new service provider and they told me to wait a bit. I waited till this morning and the issue is still present. I'll be going to the nearest outlet soon but I'd like to be sure that the issue is not my LG Nexus (as I found many problems by other users on the internet), but rather the issue lies in their SIM.
I tried my new sim in 2 other mobiles and I couldn't get any reception. I tried my friend's sim and it worked on my LG. This makes me think that the issue lies with the new SIM and not my mobile.
I have mysteriously lost connectivity with verizon's 3G data network. Any apps that require internet connection won't load, emails aren't coming through, can't connect to itunes or app store, send texts, etc. If I connect to wifi everything works fine. Voice calls are fine. I did a hard re-boot on the phone. Everything is up to date. Running OS 5.1
My iPhone 4s will not connect to my home wireless network. The phone recognizes the network, but after i put in the password, the grey loading circle just spins endlessly on my chosen network without connecting. I've tried restting the network setting, restting the router, and checking for updates.
I cannot connect to my wi-fi network. The phone finds it but when I choose it, it simply tells me that it is unable to join the network. I am thinking it is a password issue but the phone never asks me for my password. The wi-fi is locked so it needs a password. I do not have this problem with my laptop or my Ipad so I know the wi-fi network is working correctly. I just can't figure out how to get the phone to ask me for my password. It should do it without any prompting, but for whatever reason it does not.
