Nov 20, 2011I have a fairly used BB Tour, branded for verizonewireless, which I have been using on MTN network in Nigeria for the past five months. In the last eight days my connection to the BB network stopped and I have not been able to connect to the internet or the BBM. I find it difficult to even top up my phone except through vtu, and my contract with the MTN is active until December 8th. I heard that it is a global problem.

Jan 17, 2010I have a unlock blackberry 9700 from Tmobile. I am trying to get it to work with my Canadian Bell sim card. However it does not pick up any kind of signal. It shows a red sos signal on the top right hand corner. My phone does pick up wifi signal but no mobile network signals, not even Edge. Please help I am in dire need of a working blackberry while I am in Canada.

Dec 6, 2011I can't seem to enable the WiFi Hotspot function on my 9900 on the Bell Mobility network.
I am on BB OS 7.1.0 Bundle 921. When I go to Manage Connections, the Mobile Network is checked and shows Bell; the Wi-Fi is enabled and shows my router. When I enable "Mobile Hotspot" I am asked to "Create a WPA2 Personal passphrase for others to connect to your device. 8-62 characters". I type in a valid string, scroll down, and click OK. I then go to my iPod Touch, select my BB and enter the password. I get "Unable to join the network"..
BB Bold :: SIM Error 9900 Jumping From Bell To Telus Network?
Sep 4, 2012I have a Bell BB Bold 9900. I keep getting a sim error. I have been through 2 wipes and 3 new sim cards in a month.This 9900 was sent to me 6 mnths ago from tech support as a replacement of a 9900 where the keyboard failed .My new BB worked fine for about 4 months. 2 months ago the I started getting a red "SOS" and sim card error.After several calls to Bell tech support and eventually to RIM tech support, I may be ready to give up. One thing to note I just figured out why i get the sim error. My phone keeps jumping ot the Telus network, Bell switched the newtowrk settings to manual but it keeps jumping.

every now and then it will suddenly have "no service" and then back to full. but still no data loads.

with accompanying widgets (all 3 on one page left of home)and accompany bookmarks (all 3 in the browser)I could remove the widgets and bookmarks easily enough, but the applications don't have an uninstall option. This **** pisses me off. How do I get rid of them?What else did Bell do to this phone?

Feb 16, 2010I have always had problems with these "network" emails that transmitt information: network@etp1008.etp.na.blackberry.net This message is used to carry data between the BlackBerry handheld and an associated server. Please do not delete, move or respond to this message - it will be processed by the server. I use desktop redirector to send messages from Outlook to my blackberry. Sometimes I rarely receive these and other times I will have my blackberry and Outlook inbox folder FLOODED with multiple emails of this kind. Sometimes as many as 100 emails overnight. The only way I have found to bypass these messages is to create a folder in Outlook (I named it blackberry emails) and create a rule for all incoming messages from these addresses to filter them into this folder and set the folder to not sync with my blackberry. This is the only way I have found to NOT get flooded with these emails in my inbox and blackberry. Does anybody know of a better solution or rather why these emails are coming? I know they are supposed to dissapear, but they are not.

Aug 26, 2010My biggest complaint against BB was the ultra slow page load times that I would sit on the 'Requesting...' screen for ages and ages, sometimes refreshing it a few times it would finally get going to download the page. Well I went to Verizon today and talked withe tech he asked if I tried setting Mobile Network from Global to 1XEV. I said no and went ahead and did that, and wow what a difference. I was surfing on my BB for the past 30mins, the 'Requesting...' stays for less then 2 seconds before proceeding, the webpage seems to download faster, and it's so much better. I was also having the occasional issue where my antenna bars would suddenly disappear for a minute status would say 115dBm and then would popup back to 4-5 bars, that problem was resolved as well it seems. The tech at vzw said it was because in global the phone is alway searching to connect to both network or something.

Sep 16, 2011"Just got my Blackberry Torch 9810 and I can't connect to AT&T's Network! I get an error saying that there is insufficent network coverage and yet when my girlfriend tries on her Pantech Impact, sitting right next to me, she has no problem. I'm able to make and receive calls and I have 3 bars showing in the signal strength indicator.
I just asked this question over on the AT&T Blackberry Forum but I haven't got a response yet so I thought I would ask it here too.
Since then, I called AT&T for help and they told me that it is probably because when I received my phone I should've left the new SIM card in it and activated it, rather than just popping in my old SIM card, is this true? In the past, I think I've just inserted my old SIM Card and everything worked as it should without performing a new activation.
