My iPhone 4 is currently locked to Bell-Canada.. It is now out of contract and I've already cancelled my bell account.. Now I want to unlock it.. But Bell is not offering unlock.. What to do????
I am thinking of either buy the phone from T-mobile or Bell Canada. T-mobile phone that is unlocked can work on AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Fido, Telus and T-Mobile and WindMobile. Tmobile version on the samsung vibrant doesn't have front facing camera.Bell version of Samsung vibrant has front facing camera. I recently purchased a samsung SGH-F480. Thanks to this forum website I was able to enter the proper codes so it would work with my provider (At&t). However, the icon always shows as G network, and not 3G. Does anybody know what the problem is or/and how to fix it? My phone is 3G capable, so I know the phone should be able to do that. What can I do? Who is "in charge" of that: the phone or the service provider?
I live in China and have a China iPhone 4S Model MD242CH currently subscribed to China Mobile. I will be going on vacation in Canada and I want to be able to take my iPhine 4S with me and change out my China Mobile MicroSIM card for a Canadian carriers MicroSIM card (Rogers Wireless, Fido Solutions, Bell Mobility, Telus Mobility, ???). It would also be nice if the 3G (or 2.5G GPRS/EDGE) works. What about my iPhone 4S WiFi ??

I have a unlock blackberry 9700 from Tmobile. I am trying to get it to work with my Canadian Bell sim card. However it does not pick up any kind of signal. It shows a red sos signal on the top right hand corner. My phone does pick up wifi signal but no mobile network signals, not even Edge. Please help I am in dire need of a working blackberry while I am in Canada.
I can't seem to enable the WiFi Hotspot function on my 9900 on the Bell Mobility network.
I am on BB OS 7.1.0 Bundle 921. When I go to Manage Connections, the Mobile Network is checked and shows Bell; the Wi-Fi is enabled and shows my router. When I enable "Mobile Hotspot" I am asked to "Create a WPA2 Personal passphrase for others to connect to your device. 8-62 characters". I type in a valid string, scroll down, and click OK. I then go to my iPod Touch, select my BB and enter the password. I get "Unable to join the network"..

I have a Bell BB Bold 9900. I keep getting a sim error. I have been through 2 wipes and 3 new sim cards in a month.This 9900 was sent to me 6 mnths ago from tech support as a replacement of a 9900 where the keyboard failed .My new BB worked fine for about 4 months. 2 months ago the I started getting a red "SOS" and sim card error.After several calls to Bell tech support and eventually to RIM tech support, I may be ready to give up. One thing to note I just figured out why i get the sim error. My phone keeps jumping ot the Telus network, Bell switched the newtowrk settings to manual but it keeps jumping.
I recently received a BB Bold 9700 that has been unlocked and I can't seem to get it to connect to the Bell Network. We have a sim card activated and it just wont find the network. Any suggestions as what is wrong or a step that I might have missed?

I keep getting a little blue bell icon with 2 red curved lines up at the top right corner of my screen. I do not have any alarms or alerts set. What is this and how do I get rid of it? (permanently would be nice).
I have a 3710 Fold. There is an annoying ringing bell icon in the top right corner of most of the screens except the main home screen..Im not too sure why it is threre and would like to remove it..
I have just reloaded the operating system, apps and data on a 9780.OS: 6.0 bundle 2921 (V6.0.0.666 platform 6.6.6.241)When I navigate to Options > Setup > Email Accounts I get no response, nothing happens. I can't even exit the app. I have to remove the battery to be able to use the device again. This has been a long standing problem with this device. I was hoping to resolve it by reloading everything but there has been no improvement.How do I repair or replace the Email Accounts app?
After upgrading to iOS 5.1, my phone shows that my AT&T service is 4G. I am in Tulsa, OK and AT&T has not yet rolled out 4G and even if it had, the iPhone 4s does not support 4G so why is showing up as 4G on the screen?
I'm facing this issue with iPhone 4 GSM where the GPS purple arrow shows up whenever iPhone attempts to download or upload data (with every internet dependant app) on 3G network.
I have reset the all settings and didnt fix it, so I restored from 5.1.1 build 2B206 to build 2B028 yet the problem persists. Location services are all turned off, even the system services are off.
I bought an iPhone 3GS off a guy on craigslist and it works great, no complaints. But every few minutes or so I get the alert saying that I "Cannot activate cellular data network - You are not subscribed to a cellular data service", and it's really annoying because it lights up my iPhone all the time and kills my battery. It's also really annoying - it comes up whenever I'm typing a message or playing a game; literally when I do ANYTHING on my phone. I do not have a data plan, but I have used 'unlockit.co.nz' to install a Fake APN to my iPhone to block data. Rogers has also given me a data block. This has been going on ever since I bought the phone, I thought installing a Fake APN would stop it but I guess not. I can't really restore since I have a lot of stuff on this iPhone already.. but if that's the only option then I will be forced to. I used to have an unlocked Fido 3G (about 2 months ago) without data and it never gave me this alert, do you think it has something to do with my 3GS being locked to Rogers?
This phone is a jailbroken iPhone 3GS (model MC143C) running version 3.1.3 (7E18) and locked to the "Rogers 5.0" network. If it helps the modem firmware is 05.12.01.if there are no real solutions, I still have 2 months left on my warranty. Would Apple fix it or give me a new one if I un-jailbreak it?
with accompanying widgets (all 3 on one page left of home)and accompany bookmarks (all 3 in the browser)I could remove the widgets and bookmarks easily enough, but the applications don't have an uninstall option. This **** pisses me off. How do I get rid of them?What else did Bell do to this phone?
my phone shows the wifi network but it is unable to connect to the internet...i tried reseting my network, restarting my phone,changing the time and date and every possible ways to fix it up but it does not work...my brother has the same set as mine and the same wifi network is working fine on his mobile.
my xperia mini st15i is not detecting any device via wifi. The wifi works when i switch it on hotspot mode and it is detected by other devices also but when i simply switch on the wifi to access internet from any wireless server neither it detects the other network nor its network is detected by other.
I have been having a strange problem with my 3GS phone the last couple of weeks.It seems to happen whenever I get back into a 3G service area (for example no service in Subway, or after leaving my house where I use wi-fi), it shows the 3G symbol on my phone, but I have no access to the internet at all. I toggle the airplane mode and still does not work. Sometimes it works when I turn the phone off and on but that seems rather annoying. I have done a restore but does not seem to help Any suggesstions?
Just checked the app free from iTunes it now shows how much data you used and out of how much your allowed.
Login to your account on the app then go to usage,data then you will see your data you used and out of how much your allowed. If your on a family plan you must login then go to usage, data, then individual then choose a number then you will see how many mb you used. This comes in handy for those new AT&T customers that won't be on the unlimited plan starting Monday.
My 4s shows that I am connected to wi-fi and have a full signal, however it is not actually connecting to anything; safari, apps, can't send email, can't 'see' phone on my mobile phone tracker etc.
I tried reseting the network connections, which did solve the problem but literally only for a few minutes. So frustrating.
Has anyone got a permanant solution to this problem? All relevant software is bang up to date. The phone itself is brand new, only 1 day old.
My XPERIA Active (ST17I) lose connection to cell operator network, very often. For Your information, other brand phone with the same Sim card works proper with stable connection, in the same place and time. After investigation, turn GSM only and cell operator (Kyivstar UA) selected manually, my phone has little bit better network registration, but still lose network sometimes for no reason. Firmware updated to last version, but no changes for the above issue.
title says it all my 3gs is not damaged that i can tell ive had it for 2 years it just now started to do it. im updated to ios 5.1 and i keep getting the plug icon instead of the lightning bolt if i unplug it and plug it in the computer several times it finally charges but it takes 30 minutes or so every time to get it to start charging.
I just turned on iPhone 3GS and saw notice to update it which I did. After updating the screen shows a iTunes icon and unplugged USB cable. Not sure what is going on and wonder what to do next. I've tried to restart by holding down sleep button and home key in various ways I remember as helping to start up an iPhone when it is stuck, but so far no luck. I tried to upload an image of the screen that I took with PhotoBooth and saved to iPhoto, but it will not upload for reasons beyone me.
