Like many of you, I have my BB set to make a sound when I get a new email, voicemail, etc. Is there a way to turn this off so its silent so that the alarm function will still work to wake me up in the morning? This way, when you are in a hotel, you can get uninterrupted sleep, but still have the alarm wake you up.

I have tried, and failed, to find this function, on previous Nokia models, it has been in the General part of settings under date and time, but not on the E5. There is a clock alarm tone setting and a snooze time setting, but no way, that I can see, of setting the alarm time

On my old nokia 6300 I had the option of turning the snooze off from settings. I have looked through the manual but cannot find anything that says how to turn the option off totally. How to alter the snooze time but not how to disable it.

I've looked on the forum and cant find anything that relates to this so hoping someone can help/advise. Ive had this phone about a week now and have noticed a few problems:
1. The music player hangs almost every time i use it - have to turn off the phone to get it to work again.
2. The alarm function doesnt seem to work when on charge?
3. There seems to be a lot of lag using the menus and apps on the phone.
Is anyone else having these problems or is it a faulty phone I have?
This alarm is terrible! With my old phone to snooze I just had to press a button and it would start snoozing. In this phone I press the unlock button and it seems to snooze but it has just gone quiet! At 530 in the morning I am having a little trouble pressing the tiny unlock button then touching the screen to unlock it then having to press the correct side so that it will snooze and not turn off! There is a reason the snooze button is so big on an alarm clock! Is there any way to change how the snooze functions? I think I may be unlocking the phone and hitting the touch screen or something - is there someway to turn the touchscreen off at night or something?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000 that started out with the original Rogers operating system some time in 2008. I've upgraded it through various 4.6 (or is it 4.7?) OS versions and I'm now on 5.0.0.662 (I haven't gone to .681 yet mostly because I keep forgetting). On every single version of 5.0 I've tried (Wind, Azercell, etc) I have run into two problems.
1. The camera takes pictures that are way too bright when using the flash. It's like it doesn't reduce the exposure time when the flash is on - almost every flash picture is totally white. This happens in auto flash and when you force the flash on. Pictures without the flash work the way you'd expect them to.
2. I can't snooze the alarm using a side key while it's in the holster any more. The alarm ringtone starts playing, I press the volume up or down key while the phone is still in the holster. On OS 4.6, this would cause the alarm to snooze for ten minutes. On OS 5.0 it just restarts the alarm sound! Totally pointless. This is especially annoying for me as I need to take pills on a 12 hour basis and so I have alarms going off at least twice a day, every day.
I have A Curve 8330 with Sprint and have A alarm that goes off at 430 and 1030 AM and PM. I have looked at the calendar and the alarm its self and can't find out why. I tried taking it to the Sprint store and they found nothing. It all seemed to start after RIM did A update.

I want to know EXACTLY how i should charge my iphone 4s. So far i have been setting my alarm to wake me up so i can disconect my phone to prevent overcharging. Is it okay if i use my laptop to charge my phone everyday, will using my laptop harm my battery,note my laptop must be charging also in order for it to charge my phone. If i leave my phone pluged into my laptop does my phone overcharge or does it stop charging when it reches 100%. and will leaving it plugged in affect my battery in anyway? I have read that lithium batteries dont overcharge but i also read soemthing that said it will mess up your batter, and is it true that fully discharging it and fully charging all the time is bad? and i heard that i should partialy charge it sometimes not to kill battery life?

I have just updated my 5800 software via the updater After update I have problems - anyone else also have these problems?in messaging the old software would capitalise on each new line the new software will not however if I make a space and then backspace then the line capitalises also if I go out of editing then come back to editing the new will capitalise .ALSO Problem with the alarn.When the alarm goes off I am unable to use the touch screen to stop or snooze anf the stop button does not work. I can only snooze till the third snooze when only stop is available.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAny ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? - Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown
- Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring
am completely new here and completely new to the smart phone. It's just that all my other Sony phones, the alarm worked (and calendar reminder) when the phone was switched off, to wake me up ect. View 3 Replies View RelatedAbout a month ago my text messaging app started crashing whenever I would try to add a picture or video. If I go into the camera itself and look at my pictures individually I can then click 'Share' --> 'Messages' and send individual pictures after it converts the message to a MMS. The other problem is when I'm looking through my camera pictures or downloaded images (pics from friends/family) it will work fine for the first 5-6 pictures but then the app itself locks up my phone completely forcing me to do a hard reset.

Android version: 4.1.2
Sense version: 5.0
HTC API level: 5.12
Everything else works perfectly so I don't think it's a ram/space issue. I have plenty of free space on the phone, the ram is almost always close to 1GB free and I try to keep only 1-2 apps running at a time for faster performance/better battery life. I know my software is out of date but that's still no reason for the 'Messaging' and 'Picture' apps to suddenly start crashing after 1+ years of perfect use.
I have selected on my text's a remember my choice recently and now on a webpage wanted to listen to a song which prompted me to choose one of 2 choices and ticked use always. I cannot not now view anything. I then tried to look on the setting and reset default settings with in advanced settings. I have a LG G3.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Sprint's LG G3. I use the stock alarm to wake me up in the morning for work. I set it to sound off for 6 am M-F. I dismiss the alarm every morning. But later in the afternoon it sounds off even though there is no alarm set for that time. When I disarm the alarm I have set then it doesn't give me a problem. But as long as it is set it goes off twice, once in the m morning at the correct time and once more in the afternoon on they middle of my work day.

I have reset the phone several times. Updated with the latest software, even reset to factory setting and still nothing. My phone is locked with a password so I can't even enter my PIN because it comprises of letters. My carrier can't do anything and my warranty has expired.
I have read some of the other similar problems and my phone has no case or cover on it. On top of it all, it is stuck in SOS mode so I don't even have a signal so I can't even receive phone calls.
