BB (RIM) :: Wired Headphones / Adapter Does Not Work.
Mar 19, 2010
So I bought one of those 2.5 to 3.5 adapter for my headphones. No luck, I get sound in only one ear. OEM headphones fall out during workouts.
Anyone could suggest in-ear headphones that work with 8830? Would like to keep it under $30. If there is an adapter you know works 100%, that would be even better.
Is there a way to know if a particular wired headset (Sony Ericsson or not) with media controls (single or multiple buttons) will work (or not) with my Xperia Ray ? (before buying and trying it, I mean !) Ideally, I'm looking for a wired headset adapter with media controls (play/pause, previous/next track, volume... but I suppose a single button could be enough thanks to such android apps), and if possible with a microphone, that allows me to plug and use any headphones.
I have a Sony Z3 D6653 running Android 5.1.1 and I have noticed a slightly frustrating issue. When on a call using the Sony headphones that came with the phone, everything starts off well. When the screen locks however, the microphone on the headphones mute. Unlocking the screen does not unmute the headphones, nor does muting and unmuting the call through the phone application.
The only way to unmute the microphone is to unplug the headphone, then the phone's microphone will work. It also starts working once the headphones are replaced. I have been having bluetooth microphone problems, which I still haven't resolved, and will post on another thread. In order to try and fix that, I have taken off noise suppression, equaliser, and any other microphone / noise related enhancements. I have left Okay Google working on all screens though.
I saw this elsewhere but have been unable to locate
After 8.1 update, when listening to music via wired headphones, inbound text announcement will notify me, spoken response of ignore will result in audio resuming on headphones AND back speaker concurrently.
I'm looking for an adapter for the Nokia E51 that will let me plug my 3.5mm headphones into the 2.5mm jack.
I bought one, but it will only let me hear sound from one channel. I can manage it by adjusting the headphones so that they don't go all the way into the adapter, but all that does is to let me listen to the sound on that channel in both earbuds. Also, the sound sometimes cuts out in that mode.
I've done some research, and it looks like Nokia offer two adapters - the Nokia AD-61 and the Nokia HDA-11. Can anyone tell me if either of these will work for the E51 (i.e. have they tried it and found it worked)?
I would like to have a case on my phone, but am worried that the nice headphones that I have will not fit into the jack with the case on there. I was wondering if there is an adapter out there that would allow me to use my headphones with that case, but also allow me to use the inline remote/microphone with it as well. Thanks in advance!
I have found it almost impossible to get a wired headset to work on my bionic when in my car (which has built in bluetooth, and which is bonded to the phone just fine). The only way I can make the wired headset take precedence over the bluetooth, and/or the phone's speaker phone, is to:
1. Make a call in the car (any mode). 2. Plug in headset. 3. Click on the phone's speaker icon (headset works for 1/2 second before sound reverts to bionic's speakerphone). 4. Unplug and plug the headset into the bionic, often 2 or 3 times.
Obviously this sucks and would cause a terrible accident if one were driving and doing all these procedures. I have read every documentation on the phone to no avail. I have called Motorola twice, to no avail (and was hung up on by the tech), and called Verizon tech, who also hung up on me.
I have an iPhone 4 ad I have a car adapter that says it is compatible with my phone. Every thing else works fine with the adapter. All different kinds of iPods and anyone's iPhone that I try on the adapter works except mine. Could there e something in my setting that isn't letting my music play? What could it be?
I just got my kid a Samsung Evergreen with AT&T. It doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack - just the microUSB port.On her previous phone - which had a miniUSB port - I had bought a miniUSB to 3.5mm headphone adapter and it worked fine. Before buying a microUSB to 3.5mm adapter, I wanted to test with a mini-to-micro adapter that I have. So the connection is headphones to 3.5mm jack to miniUSB to microUSB to Evergreen. But the sound played through the speakerphone!Would a microUSB to 3.5mm adapter work?
I know this is an old phone, but I like it and plan to keep it a while longer. It works well; however, I just purchased a 2.5mm to 3.5mm stereo audio adapter for it.I can not get the adapter to work with standard stereo headphones. When I attach them there is no sound in the headphones and music is still playing from the phone's internal speaker. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong so any pointers would be helpful.
Mic for headphones (iphone4) will not work. When I use voice control, the lines are up and down (almost like there is some type of noise) even though I am not speaking into it. Speakers are working, whether it's from music or using the phone. I've tried turning the phone on/off and it still does not work. Not sure what else to do. I just recently bought these headphones approx 4-5 months ago.
I am facing an irritating problem with my phone. The 3.5mm headphones won't work, or sometimes produce a feeble distorting drone, that's all.I have tried many headphones with it,which otherwise work perfectly with my devices(eg-the OEM one,two Sennheiser headphones, and a Sony MDR EX57),but the result is same.
I have a pair of skullcandy headphones attached to an official nokia 3.5 to 2.5 adapter, but when I plug them in it either says default profile headphones (use microphone) or accessory not supported.
Last night when I had my earphones in my Bold 9780, I pulled them out quite quickly, and now whenever I try to use earphones in my phone, they don't work.Music plays fine through the speakers, yet as soon as I plug the earphones in, a red bubble with a line through the headphones pops up on the volume control, and no sound comes out. Will I need to take my phone in for repair?
I have had my Phone for 1 1/2 years yesterday the headphone jack stopped working. I tried master reboot, different head phones nothing works is it a phone issue or a software issue?
Anyone having problems with the n8 headphones. For 600 USD, i'm not impressed with the sound quality. The buttons do not work and it sounds like all the music is being played in a tunnel.
I just switched from my iPhone 3GS to the X10 and I noticed that my favorite headphones don't seem to work with it.. how can I get it to other than holding on the metal button..
Got the HTC Sensation XE with Virgin recently and love it. But I have a problem. When I plug in any headphones(earphones) it does not work. The sound still comes through the phone speaker.his can be sorted with a factory reset or briefly removing the battery. When operating ok the little headphone icon appears at the top of the screen and headphones sound great. But it does not remain operational!I found that the fault appears whenever I put plug the phone in for a charge with the phone switched off (as recommended). Last night I repeatedly switched the phone on whilst it was charging and checked the phone with headphones about every hour about 4 times and it worked every time. I began to think that the factory reset had fixed the problem In the morning the problem is there again have checked that the software is up to date manually in the normal way ie Settings/Aboutphone/Software UpdatesBy the way have also noticed that at the time the headphones are not working the USB connection is also non-operational
My volume doesn't work with or without headphones. When I try to turn up my volume the ringer shows but there isn't any white dots showing how high my volume is. When I watch a video, I can't slide my volume up because the bar isn't there. My volume will sometimes work and then stop in the middle of a song. also my phone will only ring sometimes when I receive a call. I can't listen to music with my headphones and I can't listen to music through my speakers. But when I use an iPod Dock through USB then my volume will work so I think phone jack is broken...
Sometime over the last few weeks, I noticed one side of my headphones was dramatically quieter than the other on my iPhone 4S. I cannot figure out how to make each side play at the same volume again. I have not made any changes, but I feel it might have coincided with one of the iOS 8 (8.1, 8.1.1) installs. Here is what I have tested:Â
It is not the headphones because:
I have tested other sets of headphones and they have the same problemÂ
It is not the jack because:
I plugged in my aux jack cord to connect my phone through the jack to my car. Using the cord in my car did not produce the same audio imbalance. Both sides were of equal volumeÂ
It is not the L/R slider because:
I checked the Settings>General>Accessibility slider and it is right in the middle of the L/RÂ
I was trying to listen to music as usual using the orginal headphones that came with the M9, however it did not detect it and the sound played through speakers instead. So I tried them in three different phones and they worked just fine, so then I thought it was the jack socket, but I tested two different headphone (Phone and computer) and by some miracle both worked. So now I'm seriously confused whose fault is it? The headphones or the socket?
I managed to get the headphones working on the M9 for about 20 seconds before they stopped working again, I did it by pressing harder and fiddling with the cable, but now it won't work at all, despite the other headphones working just fine.
I have an iPhone4. I recently noticed the when I connect the headphones to listen to music, I can hear only from the right side headphone. I assumed that I had damaged the left headphone and got a brand new set to find out that it is the iphone that is faulty and not the headphones.
None of my Bluetooth Motorola Headphones work anymore after iOS 5.1 upgrade. They constantly skip and dropout to a point of being totally useless... They were all working great and now they barely work at all.
When I Plug my Headphones into my Iphone the left one doesnt Work, but the right one does. But then i plug them into my ipad and they both work.. What is going on. My IPhone is still Under warranty if that is needed to know. What do i Do.
One day I was listening to my music on my iPhone and the phone dropped on the carpet (nothing hard) and after that when I took my headphones out, the phone no longer works on speaker and the loud sounds dont work unless the headphones are plugged in.
