I have a Blackberry 8220 with T-Mbile Service. My phone constantly goes in to Edge SOS status. Replacing the battery or Sims card does not eliminate this constant state. What is wrong with my device or the service?
View 1 RepliesI have a 8820 which was my office BB but I got a new official bb so the company let me have the 8820 but will not provide any support for it. How do I remove the IT policy from my 8820 to be able to use it as my personal bb? I read in another forum that you need OS 4.3 or greater to remove the IT policy. The OS on my 8820 is v4.2.2169 (Platform 2.4.0.67). Also read that you need desktop manager and some other stuff to backup and perform some other tasks, then install OS 4.3 and then remove the policy. Since this is now my personal bb I don't have any software or CD for it except the instrument itself. I am guessing I need to install some software on my pc, backup to be able to remove IT policy.
Where can I get the software for what I have to install it on a PC. This might also be a dumb question but what is the connection with a pc and a blackberry to install/ backup etc?If there is some intro doc that explains this it would be great.

I would expect this if the phone was constantly downloading email or social network feeds but when I try to load those I get the message "Could not open connection to server" when attempting to access e-mails as well as this message when attempting to load news feed on Facebook "Error loading news feed" ....

View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought a Blackberry Pearl recently. When i text message i press the "shift key" to turn the letter im typing into a capital. But i noticed, or can't find a way to keep my letters constantly in Capital.
For example, if i want to type, "I WANT ALL MY LETTERS CAPITAL!" i seem to have to press the "shift key" button for each individual letter! is there any way around this, where i could press some "shift something key" to where my typing remains in CAPITAL until i repress this "shift something key"??
Brand new iPhone 4, this blue triangle on the edge of my status bar won't go away even after a restart. I can't be dead pixels because they wouldn't show up in a screenshot, right?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using bb 8110 pearl and I used bis plan 2 months ago and everything worked fine for me and I deactivated and 1 month ago I reactivated it but edge is showing in small letters and I called 2 service provider and they told me my plan is activated and it is same as what I was using before. I did everything like battery pull out, wipe out, upgrade and downgrade and sending registration message from host routing table and also tried on-pff data services. I am calling daily service provider but they said my plan is activated and working but I cant get use anything. I read somewhere if pin is blocked by rim then cant use net services. But I don't know even if mine is blocked. In status I can see pin and imei.

View 3 Replies View RelatedPicked up an 8820 for $10. The screen was cracked and I replaced that and bought a new battery for it. Nothing happens when I insert wall or usb charger into the port. Computer doesn't see device when plugged into usb. JL_cmder and MFI Multiloader can't find the device. the 8820 hasn't gotten wet so I'm not sure.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just bought a BB 8820 unlocked, it's made on Hungary and it shows on the screen a battery with a red line crossed, I know what the symbol means BUT the battery is OK, it's the right model C-X2 and I already tried it on a different phone and it's working fine. PLUS, the desktop manager cannot connect to the device,the application loader neater. I download the 4.2.2 device software and had the VENDOR file erased too, I start running the "loader" from C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionAppLoader. and it loads the JVM and system software but when it is initializing the device I get the connection error and that's it. FROZEN AGAIN. The screen with the crossed battery is the only one I'm able to see.I try to replace the USB cable and the soft reset too with no results.What can I do, help me please!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 8230 that won't turn on. When the battery is charged, the red light flashes very slowly (about 10 seconds on, 10 seconds off). When I plug the USB cable into the computer, I see the BB hard drive for a brief second or two, then it disappears. It will appear briefly again about 20 seconds later, then disappear again. Is the battery shot? Or could there be something else going on? The phone was on the charger all night.
