I am trying to transfer media files from computer to BB and it gives message device memory full while it is empty. How to check the usage of media memory and transfer the files from computer?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI didn't see a thread that pertained to my problem, so if there is then let me apologize ahead of time for the duplication. Anyway. I have a Bold 9700 and the new version of Desktop manager. I went to transfer photo and video from by BBBold to my computer, but the media manager just throws me into my Roxio and it doesn't recognize the media card in the BB. Worse yet, the computer will show the BB as a removable disk, yet when I clicked on it to try and transfer the file the "old school" way, it then says it doesn't recognize the drive. I'm doing this through transfer cable, my laptop doesn't have bluetooth built in. The old Desktop had a nice, convenient dual window setup where you could just drag files back and forth. If anyone knows how to make the new Desktop manager do that or how I can accomplish the file transfers that apparently Desktop doesn't want me to do, please let me know.

I have the 'raw' .jpg.rem files from my old phones mSD card on my computer I have access to the old 2gb mSD card but the images were deleted. I have access to the old phone but it isnt enabled on the enterprise account..I know the pwd used on the old phone and the one on the new phone I cannot connect the phones to my computer as a storage device.
How can i get these pictures from my desktop computer to the new phone?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI synced songs from itune and ripped the ones that I could not sync. I got rid of itunes, and then migrated from my 8330 to my new 8530. The music came over to the new 8530 just fine. I cannot get the media files moved to my computer (not all of them anyway), and I cannot see the files on the BB or on my computer when it is connected in mass storage mode.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a 8820 which was my office BB but I got a new official bb so the company let me have the 8820 but will not provide any support for it. How do I remove the IT policy from my 8820 to be able to use it as my personal bb? I read in another forum that you need OS 4.3 or greater to remove the IT policy. The OS on my 8820 is v4.2.2169 (Platform 2.4.0.67). Also read that you need desktop manager and some other stuff to backup and perform some other tasks, then install OS 4.3 and then remove the policy. Since this is now my personal bb I don't have any software or CD for it except the instrument itself. I am guessing I need to install some software on my pc, backup to be able to remove IT policy.
Where can I get the software for what I have to install it on a PC. This might also be a dumb question but what is the connection with a pc and a blackberry to install/ backup etc?If there is some intro doc that explains this it would be great.
Last night I bought two CDs on line. i downloaded them to my computer and plugged in my phone to download to the phone. Media link started up and downloaded every CD on the computer before I could stop it. (I had selected only the new CD's in media link) I had to go into my music and delete everything that was duplicated. Then I discovered that my playlists were all empty. I had gone though all of my music and put all songs in playlists. Now I had to do it again!! I thought I was all fixed up and discovered this morning that all 1,290 photos from my computer were loaded onto my phone as well. DO NOT leave media link on your computer. I'm removing it when I get home and I'll start doing the old copy/paste routine. Motorola should send warnings about Media Link to all customers.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add some ringtones to my Torch. They are there and I can see them in the file manager or when I sync to my Mac. But when I go to the ringtones folder, they are not listed. There is an option to select music for a ringtone, so I put the mp3 file in the music folder along with other music files, but none show up.
The same thing happens when I take pictures with the phone. If I look at the pictures folder, it says no pictures. But if I go through file manager to the media card, I can see the pictures.
I am having so many issues with the Bold that I've decided to move to Android with the Droid Pro. Is there anyway I can backup the SMS and messages and transfer them over to my Droid Pro?

I have a MacBook Air running Lion and an iPhone 4s with latest OS. I'm planning a trip to an area where I won't have access to the interenet but should have some cell coverage (my plan is with AT&T). I'd like to use my MacBook Air to create and edit documents, send them to my iPhone and then use the iPhone to email them over the cellular network.Is there any way to do this? I know I can create my own WiFi network using the MacBook but don't know of a way to use it to transfer files to the iPhone.

I would like to transfer photos to my HTC One X directly from my computer using the USB cable using the "Disk drive" mode on the phone. When I do that, I need to know which folder on the phone should I put the photos in. I tried putting them in the folder named "Pictures", but then I couldn't find them on the phone. They do not show up in the Gallery.

Whilst copying it always stops and cancels, saying there's an error and files cannot be copied. and its as though it autorun's the phone again. The autorun menu pops back up. I am getting frustrated because everytime i'm backing up, it does this. It is often with the bigger files or copying many files at once?

I do not want to use a cloud service or anything just my computer. they seem to transfer fine to my older laptop running windows vista, but using win7 only the first 127kb of the file transfer over. I even tried transferring my pics over to my win7 computer to back them up and they all appeared grayed out. but I transferred my pics to my windows vista computer and they were fine, so it seems to be a win7 issue. I do not understand what it could be. but I really want to transfer my stuff to my win7 desktop computer and not my old win vista laptop.

The problem is I can't write to the SD card. i want to be able to copy/paste stuff from my 6P to this external SD card.
I saw this thread about Total Commander which has promise but I still can't copy/paste from one drive to another.
Ideally I just want the SD card to show up in a program like es file explorer or root explorer so it acts like the phone has an SD card.
I have looked around online a bunch, even went to the apple store for answers on this, and still nothing.I had a MBP, its dead, i got a new one, its awesome. but now i want to sync my iphone with this new computer, I plug the phone in, it all works and everything, but if i click "sync" on any of the check boxes in say, music. apps. rungtones. etc it says it will delete the data on my phone and replace it with the data on that itunes.
Is there a way for me to jsut transfer all my **** off the iphone so it syncs with that? this is getting really annoying.The guy in the genius bar told me to backup my phone, then restore it using itunes and that iTunes would then allow me ot sync everyhting without first deleting all the information, tried that, and it didnt work, itunes just said the same message about deleteing all my applications and data and blah blah blah.no i dont have the library from the old computer to use as a reference to copy files from.
