If I have a corporate blackberry with email delivered from BES, and I want to add an additional internet email address, can I do this on the handset or web (equivalent to mobileemail.vodafone.net)?
View 7 Replies9700 Rogers wireless V5.0. The only option available for e-mail in setup is "I want to use a work email account with BES" and it's pre-checked. I've searched through the knowledge base and deleted CMIME and CICAL from the service book. However I'm running Desktop 6.0 (latest version) on Windows 7, and the knowledge base instructions for change at the desktop are only for versions 3 through 5. I can't find any for V6. So far no change to the device setup menu.

I couldn't add the blackberry email address associated with my device back to the phone because I don't know the password. I created a new blackberry email address, but when I try to get updated in AppWorld it still wants the password from the old address. When I request a password reset it sends the information to the old email address which I can't access because I don't know the password.
Does anyone know how to change the email address associated with my device OR how to have the password reset info sent to a different email address?
I switched to new Bold 9900, need to switch my blackberry email address from old device to new 9900, No problem switching my non blackberry email address. It will not let me reload my previous blackberry address, wants to add a 1, 2, or a 3 to my name. I guess I need to ell the Blackberry server my new device.

Question: How the heck do I delete certain entries from this list? Or how do I just clear the entire list? I need to know how to turn off this feature or to at least delete some of the cached addresses. Here's the problem. I have a contact in my Contacts list whose name is Thomas. He often goes by Tom, but I don't have Tom in the Contact record for him. He sent me a conference call invitation in which he used the name Tom to set up the conference. The actual email address is from freeconference.com, but his name appears as Tom. Now if I go to write an email to him and start to type Tom, the cached email appears and I end up sending an email to freeconference.com instead of to his real email address. I'm sure this happens with other contacts as well. Since the real email address is masked in the quick pick list, it is very easy to miss this issue and send to the wrong place.

I've used Desktop Manager in order to download phonebook and other settings, but I'm not able to access internet anymore. I'm not getting good support from the provider, consider that the switch between old and new device could not be done having both of them available at the same time, since by their policy I've taken the broken one to the customer center and they provided me the new one, without changing the configuration between the two.

I am now back on the network, but have lost my internet email account. I go to the setup screen and my 3. Accounts show. I am asked to verify but get the message that 'your session cannot continue'. I cannot re-activate the accounts, or delete them or add new ones.

Both msn and gmail 's icon dispeared and i don't get emails pushed to my blackberry any more. I already erased both msn and gmail accounts on BB and re-setup, doesn't make a difference. the msn worked fine on my 9700 until i switch.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter adding a Gmail account to BIS (OS 5.0.484) the Address Book folder is always called Gmail. This doesn't really cause operational problems, but after the sync (and even the service books) are removed, the name remains.
This makes for some confusion when configuring ActiveSync via NotifySync since the folder to sync contacts with is always called Gmail, not Contacts.
When I start or reply to a thread on my fantasy football league's message board using my Blackberry Bold 9650, I get a kinds of proxy setting and IP Addresses in the message part of the email.The sender of the message is mail, not even my name or email address.I contacted Verizon, they said it was a CBS website problem.I contacted CBS, they said it was BB problem.How do I resolve this issue?

I have gone in to options/advanced options/default services and changed both options (CICAL and CMIME) to my work email address, but I still get the error message. I even went so far as to delete all five email addresses and start adding them from scratch...making sure that I added my work email address first...figuring that may set it as default.
I want to Synchronize my device address book with yahoo's
After experiencing some problems I decided to start from cero and deleted all contacts of my yahoo address book. I then synchronized with the Blackberry desktop manager (arrow pointing out in both directions) and loaded all data from the device (address book) to yahoo.
When I do changes using my PC directly in yahoo and then sync with device all works apparently OK, e.g. if I modify a name adding a surname that will be synchronized correctly in the device, however the changes I do in an existing record in my device with the sync won't be done in yahoo.
What shall I do to have all changes done to my device's adress book in the yahoo account.
Having just bought a "Bold 9700" I am new to the BlackBerry-World. I would like to sync my emails (e.g. the emails I wrote and sent on the road) and the adress book entries of the device (software version 5.0.0.423) with "Windows Mail" on my home computer (OS Visa, SP 2). Up to now I couldn't find out how to do this, either with the "Desktop Manager" (version 5.0.1) or with some other piece of software (???). Potentialy it looks like the "DesktopManager" could be up to this task, but the box to check for this is not highlighted, so I can not select this option.

I accidentally deleted the Device Calendar from the Service Book menu. I left my e-mail address calendar that has all of my appointments in it. Now, when I try to sync with the desktop software and outlook, it will not process any calendar appointments. I have a BB Curve 8330.

(other than any ethical/moral issues ). Any specific stuff that I will not be able to perform with such an unlock?, any downsides like slowdowns (if it’s a 24/7 background running service etc) ?
I know that O2 official unlock iphones for $15, but I haven’t found any certain info on the other carriers. (note: the phone will not be used to UK at all, so some proposed actions from carriers like: “use the phone for 3 months with the carrier and then ask for an unlock” will not work in my case.)
