the trackpad on my curve has stopped working, it wont respond to touch and goes VERY warm! Ive tried a battery pull and to my knowledge the pad has not been wet? how to fix this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have only had the Torch since Feb and the trackpad this morning decided to stop working. First of all it was goign hey wire and openeing folders up and sending e-mails without me not touching it and now it just wont work at all, I cant even click down on it.
what is wrong with it and whether there is a quick fix I can do without taking back to the shop. It should still be in warranty so not bothered about that it is just time without a proper phone.
I ve got an n97 and had a problem were couldnt turn it on went on the forum and said 2 reboot with the 4finger salute now it turns on but havent got no touch screen.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an X8 that was repaired a few months ago due to a cracked screen.Yesterday the touch screen stopped working, the screen still displays everything it should and the menu, camera, lock and volume buttons work fine, but touching the screen does nothing which makes doing anything with the phone impossible.I've switched it on and off many times, including holding the power button until I get 3 vibrations and no luck. I've fully charged the phone and tested it whilst it's charging.I don't think there's been any damage, but it could have taken a knock whilst being in my pocket.

So I turned it off to 'sleep' and tried logging in again and it wont work now I went to turn it fully off but because the touch screen isn't working, I can't swipe the 'off' part of my phone. I've plugged it in, updated it, everything I could think of, and the touch screen still won't work. Or is it time for a new phone?

Several times per day, my screen just stops working. The LCD portion of the screen still turns on and off, but it won't recognize any touches. The only way out is a soft reset, since I can't swipe down to turn the phone off, then it works again. I have the Windows 10 preview installed, if that matters.
I'm thinking that it's a hardware issue, but I'm not 100% on that, since a soft reset temporarily solves the problem.
I also tried a hard reset and that had me hopeful, because it worked most of the day, then the issue returned in the evening.

My phone has only a few days and overnight, the bottom of the touch screen no longer works at the application buttons. By testing the service menu, it is clear that this part no longer detects the touch. I tried to put the latest firmware with SEUS but nothing changed.

A month back the trackpad started giving me problems (for e.g. freezing, not scrolling to the right or left side) than suddenly after few days my Keypad also konked off and magically my trackpad started working absolutely fine.. I went to the shop where i purchased my BB from and got my KeyPad replaced but as soon as i got back home my Trackpad started giving me problems... Now ive got a problem with my "A" button, which doesnt work at all and have discovered that my delete button is constantly being pressed even when i take off the cover, etc. Which basicly means anything i write is automaticly deleted... After this problem went away, now none of the buttons on the keyboard work , not even the delete button. Did a battery pull fix your issue?: No Apps installed and their version if possible. (Go to Settings, then Options, then applications): None BT device model/version (you will have to look at the BT device): None Scroll pad works on and off, will not work on some menus. E key will work sometimes, usualt types an upper case E and not a lower case, will not type 2 E's in a row. Works ok when typing a 2. There were some other buttons giving issues a while ago and then it all went away and now this just started again out of nowhere. I tried backing up / wiping the phone, upgraded to the latest software and it is still giving me issues. The phone has never been exposed to any sort of moisture, I don't even use it in the rain.Another issue, possibly related, possibly not is that I get 1 vertical line and 1 horizontal line in my photos I take. This started out happening sometimes and not other times but now it is constant.
i recently purchased a used HTC Touch Pro from ebay. So here the problem when the screen is off it wont respond when i press the front buttons. Only if i press the top button or open the phone will it come on.Is it designed this way or is my unit faulty.

So when it fell My home button broke so i had to turn off the phone and turn it on to get to settings and when I turn Accessibility Touch on i tap on it and it turns from Light gray to dark gray but doesnt open the interface or w/e u call it(The options) it just changes color of the button from light gray to dark gray but all other clicking works on my phone. I cant turn it off by clicking the home button and lock button at the same time considering by home button is messed up

I had my phone in my pocket today for about 30 minutes and when I went to take it out none of the buttons were responsive the only thing that worked was the track pad. I tried pulling the battery and restarting but still the same outcome only the trackpad was functional. I have the blackberry 8530.

I just got the 8350 curve 3 days ago.. Now my Track ball wont work at all.Today I did drop it but it was working just fine. Then I downloaded a game and a theme.. about 30 mins after the theme it started not to work.The only thing I can do is take a picture.The track ball wont move at all. Left or right. It will take a picture.Is there anything I can do? Please help me if you can.I cant even dial my phone. when i type a name in it wont let me scrool down to the number I need.is there a way to dete the stuff? Or fix the trackball?

Even stranger, I found out by accident while on a call to Motorola that if I use my finger nail it will work, just not smooth. I did not think a finger nail was supposed to work. Motorola told me to go to the Verizon store and see if any other device had the issue. Verizon said they could not connect to webtop and as expected the usb did not have any issues.Is this my phone only or are there any others with the same issue?I was thinking of getting a replacement, but they said I could only get a referb He told me a finger nail would not work, so I demoed it for him.He told me to wait for the Nov updates, but I don't see anything like this on the list.Is anyone using the Webtop travel adaptor with desktop PC. View 6 Replies View RelatedGot My Defy 2 days back. Last night it rained heavily and I had to walk from my office to home. It was a 30-35 minute walk. I put my Defy in my pocket and started walking thinking its a water proof phone. When I reached home, first the phone's screen didn't respond to any touch. After a minute it went completely black and I could see heavy moisture under the glass. Only sensors were throwing some colored lights. I tried to call from my friend's phone on my number, and I could listen to the ringtone only. I could not pick up the call since there was nothing at all on screen. Today I put the phone in rice for around 8 hours still the condition is same. Its very unfortunate that I could use and explore my phone properly even for 2-3 days.
