BB Curve :: Stop Texts Being Automatically Deleted?
Apr 15, 2012
My texts seem to get deleted after about 2 weeks and I want it to stop .. how do i do this? also .. is there any way i can get back messages that have been lost? like are they stored anywhere else?
also, i used to be able to type in somones name on the homepage and it would come up with all the texts from them, my facebook interaction with them e.t..c and now this has stopped too .
Today my Blackberry Curve 8310 deleted all of my received text messages. It also did this (deleted the all of the received messages) about 2 days ago. I don't know why or what keeps happening. I will go to look at a text message and they will all be gone. Only the incoming texts are deleted, the outgoing/sent ones always remain and so do emails. I have lost a ton of important, irreplaceable texts (including those which had pictures attached). This keeps occurring for no apparent reason. When this happens I hadn't turned my phone off or taken the battery out.
I have my setting as follows under Inbox: Options; General Options: Keep Message Forever.
My texts are deleting themselves after about a month of having them and I can't get them back and its doing my head in. It was fine for about a year, and now its soooo
I accidentally deleted an app which i think controls the email and texts and now I can't get either, I've tried resetting with no luck. The phone doesn't allow me to go back to factory settings
I recently plugged for first time my Blackberry Pearl on PC, and before the backup all my SMS have been deleted, I had only 7 sms. but i need to find them (that's why i plugged the phone to the PC!)I did not click on buttons or select on any option. they deleted automatically
Ever since I had it, it automatically and for no reason deletes all call logs. Blackberry could never give me any way to prevent this from support while it was under warranty. My Motorola Pebble didn't do this, and my iPhone 4, which was stolen a month ago, never did this. since I have a month to go before I can upgrade my phone, meaning I can get a decent phone without paying a small fortune for it?
I am using blackberry 8520 . i was having around 300 phone no. in my cell phone in first title got deleted automatically then again i saved title with name. Second time most of no. deleted from my cell now only 100 phone no. is there in my cell. retrive my no. i dont have any back up also. earlier i was not using BBM service in my phone but one of my friend is using that so i inserted his sim in my cell and set up my gmail and yahoo account in my phone. Am using BB curve 9300 3G, and OS 6.0.Around 2 months back, i was having issue with my BB so sent it to service center. When it came back, the OS was upgraded to 6.0 from 5.0.all is fine except now the text messages are getting deleted after few days...what remains is the name of the sender in green with no message in it. Even in settings, I have kept "forever" in the tab "Days to keep messages" Looking forward for a reply.

The Samsung message app converts long messages to MMS which ends ends up costing me. Can this be switched off? The Hangouts messaging app doesn't do this but I prefer the look of the Samsung app (personal preference).
I have researched a lot on this topic and I've been able to make my phone ask me if I want to connect to Wi-Fi or 3G whenever I open an application like Opera Mini, Communities, or chat. The problem is my phone still randomly connects to 3G when I'm out and about. There seem to be some background processes using data and thus making me waste money. I changed the communities and mail settings but it still connects to 3G randomly.
I received a text, when i tried to read it my phone crashed then deleted text messages after October to present day, and deleted my pins from start. anyone know why or how it can be fixed
I've got the Bold 9000, and I'm using OS 5.0 (5.0.0.464).My sister went in my phone and deleted ALL my text messages, I've checked SMS Inbox and SMS Outbox, and all the folders, and I didn't have the option selected to save SMS to Sim Card, so no SMS's there. Is there any way at all to retrieve my deleted text conversations? Any hidden folders or logs or anything in the phone's software files to retrieve the texts?
I need to view a few texts that were deleted from my iPhone 4 (iPhone has not been synced since text was deleted).
how I would accomplish this through backing up my device? From what I understand, if you backup your device, deleted texts are included in the backup file. If I were to restore my iPhone using this backup file, would the previously deleted texts now show back up on the phone? This is the part I don't fully understand.
I was having problems downloading from the app store (which another thread resolution solved for me) but in the midst of working on this issue, a friend suggested I do a hard reset on the phone by holding the top power button and the little dot on the front until it just shut off. I did this and I come back to none of my text messages. They have all been deleted. I can't find anything on the forums about this.
I am not sure I particularly care, meaning I don't think I had too much in the way of important information contained in them, but it wasn't supposed to do that so that's a bit annoying to me. Why did my phone do something it wasn't supposed to do?
Resetting settings didn't work and erasing everything only worked for about a day, then it started doing it again. This is actually my second phone to do this.
Is there a way to silence incoming night time calls and texts automatically on my Z3?Apple has Do not disturb and Samsung has blocking mode. I keep forgetting to manually put it on silent.
This just started two days ago. (the day after the 1 yr warranty expired grrr. Happens on phone calls and video. You only catch about 1 word out of six. Makes phone calls impossible. No, there are no headphones connected to the device. Discovered if I do, then at least I can hear what people are saying because it stops flipping back and forth between headphone and speaker function. Remove the headphones and away it goes again. Keeps doing it for about a minute after the call ends with an audible click each time it switches to speaker mode for a fraction of a second.
How to make this phone stop automatically turning the wi-fi on. I got my phone back from repair and now its automatically turning wi-fi on when I do not want it to. Here is a screen shot of the settings. I have checked.
