i replaiced my blackberry curve 8520 screen now when i turn it on it shows a white screen but the alerts and messeges recive, i can hear my phones alerts when messeges.

Whenever I go into my "Messages" app, it either shows up as a blank white page or shows previous messages but the screen freezes on the page. Sometimes I am able to text but then it starts freezing again. I am unable to call anyone. My battery is drastically draining. My phone just decides to freeze randomly and will turn off by itself. When double clicking the home button to "close" apps, my phone freezes. I have tried to update to the new IOS 8.1.2, but whenever I choose the "agree" option, my phone doesn't do anything.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought my bb in may. Now since a week ago it sometimes crashes the screen turns green and purple and it fades to white. I have to take out my battery and charge it without. Then when the sign of no battery shows I put it back in. When I reboot my bb without taking out the battery first it gets stuck in the process.
But the BB keeps on crashing, and the amount of crashes increase..
My curve 8520 shows a constant white screen when switched on every thing seems to be working i receive and make calls normal but the screen just remains white.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmonths ago my new BB 9780 showed a white screen up when i ended a phone call. my device working properly right now without any problem even it goes to lock mode and when i press the lock button it's goes on again. the main problem is that sceen is just white white and white. i have tried to disassemble the device for 2 times and screen works great for minustes each time i assembled it back, but the problem begins in a while and screen goes white again.

View 6 Replies View RelatedToday my e63 phone died while I was using the internet so I plugged it into my charger, all that happened was the light behind the navigation button lit up and then turned off, usually my phone will just go into the charging screen and I then turn it back on. I tried with multiple chargers and there was no difference.I then tried to turn it on and all that comes up is a white screen. I took out the sim card and memory card but there is no difference apart from the fact that when I turned it on after taking out the memory card the screen was black with white lines then went completely white.

I have tried putting it in DFU mod or recovery mode with the whole to seconds sleep/wake button and 20 home, but nothing works. I have checked all the connectors and I am still getting that screen. If anyone can help it would be great. It all happened after I tried updating from the computer to 5.1.

My phone was recently in recovery mode and I had plugged it up to restore but it completely shut off. Now when I plug it up to the computer, it only shows the white screen with the apple logo. My Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having the same issue as covered in lots of threads before. when i try to turn my phone on (pluged in to the wall charger) it just shows the red led for about 10 seconds and switched to white screen with battery thunder bolt symbol in the middle for abotu 10 seconds and then it repeats over and over again. but my phone does something ive never seen talked abotu on here.

I have had my blackberry for 4 months and love it.I had an upgrade for App world which after stopped working.I found no way of deleting it or going back a version so i decided to try the desktop manager to see if i could do something through that.I had another upgrade waiting for the actual device so went a head with it and now wish i hadnt.The phone gets to a certain point on the upgrade (net-rim-cldc.cod) then stops doing anything .It has been at this point for nearly 3 hours now. I can not customise my message alerts for individual people in my address book. When I click on "try it" only the LED button flashes and there is no sound or vibration. I am trying to get the sound and vibrate to play as "active profile" but it just won't. I can override it and have custom volume and vibrate that plays no matter what the profile but as I sometimes like to set my main profile to vibrate or silent, it won't do.
So far, to fix it, I have tried: Wiping profile and sounds from the blackberry softwareFull factory resetCreating my own profile and using that instead of "normal" or any of the other preset onesLoads of battery pulls before and/or after any changesI have also had a few different people text me to make sure the problem isn't just the "try it" feature. It isn't. The sound that plays is always the default message sound for whatever the default profile is.
Im new to the forum and have been looking for solutions to my Blackberry issue that ive been having. I have had issues with my screen for my Blackberry 9780 a few times so far. First time was within 3 months of the purchase. The screen went to a complete blank white, it wasnt an app error or anything. the phone worked fine, made and received calls, etc, but i just couldnt see what is on the screen. i payed to have the screen replaced and it only lasted another 8 months. Instead of fixing the screen again, i started to use a different 9780 that a friend of mine lent me. Its still fairly new and was working well until this past friday when i started to have the same exact screen issues again.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8530. Several months ago, during daily use, the screen would all of a sudden go black. A battery pull would solve this problem for a while. Eventually this became more frequent. Symptoms progressed (it seemed that if I set the phone down too quickly it would reset) Finally, the phone would turn on, then go immediately to a white screen where it was undetectable by my computer. I contacted my service provider and they said the phone was toast and (amazingly enough) gave me a free loaner to use for the duration of my contract (all info transfered via an old backup, so nothing was lost) After my new phone was working I left my Curve plugged in at my office. Yesterday as I was leaving I looked at the phone again, and the screen was white and telling me to reload software 507.
I plugged it into my computer to begin the process and to my surprise the computer all of a sudden detected the phone and successfully upgraded the software. All looked great, I got past the password stage, and was just going to begin reloading my information when the screen faded to blank again. I still have the free loaner phone, so it's not a big deal, but it's bugging me as to what the problem could be. As of right now the computer can no longer detect the phone again

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy dog got hold of my 8530 and put a toothmark in the screen cover. The screen was also damaged meaning I could see white and grey stripes. I bought a new screen and replaced the old one. Now when I turn it on, I get the white screen and i cannot dial out or recieve calls. Basically the phone is dead. I was able to connect to my desktop and install the latest OS version. I put the old screen back in and I still cannot recieve or dial. I must have done something while taking it apart or putting back together? It is a very simple procedure so I would think it difficult to screw it up. Before I took it apart, i could get phone calls and dial out but i couldnt see the outgoing or incoming call screen. I took the battery out before I took it apart. Now when I connect to my desktop, the connection comes and goes as if you were plugging and plugping in the device.

Just wanted to ask, after the latest update. It feels like you really need to press down on the power button to get the shut down menu to show up.If i don't press down hard enough or right, the shut down menu shows up then it locks and the lock screen shows up. it's quite straight forward, and I don't remember having to hold down the power button for that long for it to shut down.
