I have had my blackberry for the past year and I always use my wifi connection at home when my free Internet runs out, it has always worked perfectly. But today, for no reason it isn't working? I have restarted my phone, taking out the battery, tried anything I could think of and it's still not working.

Phone does not display a four square symbols which confirms that wifi is connected and activated.
While checking the Wifi option it says it is connected and profile selected.
Can't use BBM or Facebook with WIFI but some other apps work. What can the problem be. The phone says my router name at the top.I also pay for the data plan.

I went to the telus store to ask about it, and a lady who clearly had no idea what she was talking about told me the curve is "just not powerful or high-end enough". The wifi on my blackberry curve 8520 doesn't work any more. It says it's connected, but I can't go online. I have send it to t-mobile, they send it to blackberry , multiple times, but they can't fix it. Now they say that blackberry blocked wifi and you can only go online when you pay for it. View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the last several weeks neither the WiFi nor the Bluetooth will turn on. When selecting to turn on WiFi is starts to turn on then stops and displays Error. About 75% of the time after attempting to turn on the WiFi the phone will reboot. I have factory reset the phone and the WiFi and Bluetooth will work once after the reset but once the phone sleeps neither WiFi nor Bluetooth will operate. This is even after a power down. I have checked my settings and can't find anything that would cause this.

There are a selection of apps that will NOT send me push notifications over WIFI. Say, when I leave for work, and my phone transfers to 4G LTE, my phone BLOWS UP with notifications from apps like Snapchat, Twitter, Google Hangouts, ESPN, MLB AT BAT, etc. It seems like Telegram, Texting, KIK, and Facebook Messenger are the only apps that properly send me notifications over Wifi. Here's what's even stranger: I have two Gmail accounts attached to my Gmail app. One account sends me push notifications over Wifi just fine, but the other will only send me push notifications over 4G LTE.

All of the sudden, my iphone4 won't connect to the wifi at work. My computer is connecting to wifi with no problem. The signal appears to be strong.
There is no error message. When I select the network, the check mark that normally appears, does not, and there is a constant spinning and spinning in its place.
I did choose "Forget this network" and rebooted the iphone, and tried again, but am having the same result.

My phone has been working perfectly till today, for some reason, I cannot get on online using the att network. I can have full bars and a 3g signal and still cannot get on. I can get on wifi with no problem. Anyone know what could have happened. My wifes phone is also doing the same thing. We are running the 4.3.5
I tried to update and restore the phone but it will not do it.
Edit: my mother in law just came by and I got on her iphone 3gs, her phone is doing the same thing. Att says there is no problem with their network.
