View 9 RepliesJust got my Blackberry Curve 8530 yesterday. I can not get on AppWorld. Message states "Blackberry AppWorld is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App Server. Verify your internet connection and try again (error30637). I am able to get to Google through the internet browser, so I don't understand why I can't get into AppWorld. I have called my provider (Cricket) to make sure I have a plan that includes the Blackberry Browser and have been told yes.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 9523 that was a Verizon Phone but is now unlocked and utilizing At&t service.I downloaded BB App World to the phone with no problem. When I touch the icon to connect I get error message "Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to BB App W server. Verify your network connection and try again."
1) the new work connection is working fine.
2) I have downloaded the B App W app twice so far still introduces. Any ideas that can help me?
I have a curve 9300 and the DTS upgraded the software from OS5 to OS6 which resulted in the phone becoming increasingly unresponsive, spending loads of time buffering or waiting for it to respond and not being able to use the Internet Browser at all as the pages were always "Too Large" so they got closed down.
I have just downgraded the software back to OS5 to try and free up some of the application memory on the phone in the hope that it will work faster. It is slightly better and not as sluggish but it now won't let me download app world, Facebook or Twitter. It keeps jumping to a page that says that the server has timed out. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software and individual apps, battery pull and tried doing it via my laptop - none of this is working and I am losing patience fast. The phone is about to be thrown off the balcony
My phone is driving me mad, suddenly its stopped collecting my emails, i have tried pulling it apart etc and when i try to go to email setup it says that it cannot connect and the next message says "your device had a problem connecting to the server"

I am trying to set up on a used BB bold 9700 i just bought my personal email using teh Email set up. I am receiving a message with the following: first it says connecting to email settings for about 1 minute..... then it shows your device had a problem connecting to the server, try again. and shows always the same.It is not tmobile, all other work great, calls, browser, etc.

However, after typing all the credentials and server name (exordia.co.za) it gives me an error message that read: "Cannot connect to email server or invalid server name". I have made sure that the details are correct. I have contacted my mail service provider and they want me to use notifysync, however that also does not work as it requires a license key that I do not have. They say that they do not support BlackBerry. Should I not be able to receive messages from the exchange server irrelevant if it is supported for Blackberry or not?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI am using a Nokia N97 with the v21 firmware. I am connecting to a mail server via IMAP, using the phone's mail client (not mail for exchange). This has previously worked perfectly, however now I cannot update my inbox and view the emails. When I try to update the inbox, I get a dialogue box that says "Website has sent an untrusted certificate". After choosing "allow permanently", the inbox does not update. The message comes up every time I try to update (even when I've previously chosen "allow permanently".
I can however successfully send emails via the SMTP server using the phone (IMAP for sending is restricted, so have to use SMTP). Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening, and how I can solve it? I've also contacted the IT guys for the mail server, as I'm not sure whether the problem lies with the mail server or the phone, or both.
I got my 9900 in August and haven't had this problem before. I can connect to my WiFi -- it shows as connected, strong connection etc. But when I try to go to any site on my browser I get "Unable to find the requested server. This is on my home wifi. But my laptop and WiFi are still fine so it's only on my phone. However, I discovered I am able to connect to other wifis - just not the one at home. The problem originated right when I was downloading some software upgrades. I wasn't really paying much attention to what I was doing and I'm not even sure how I got into downloading these upgrades because I'd never done that before. Anyway, one of the downloads seemed to have got stuck mid-way through downloading.

I'm trying to update the IMAP password on a 9700 Bold, a process I've done numerous times in the recent past. However, on this particular device, I cannot even get to the menu for email accounts. Every attempt results in the following ianane OS message; "Your device had a problem connecting to the server." I'm then required to either try again (a never ending loop) or cancel.
I suspect this has something to do with my provider (AT&T) because I had similar symptoms on another device (same model, w/o enterprise security policies). I was able to fix it on the other device by deleting the IMAP Service Books and then doing a hard reset. It doesn't work for the problem BB.
My company just recently singed a contract with AT&T. Nearly all the employees were provided with Blackberry Curve 9360's. We use an Exchange Server (remote desktop)and Microsoft Outlook. Is there a way to sync the Curve 9360 with an Exchange Server (remote desktop) and Microsoft Outlook?

I've tried the option of setting via the Advanced Options > TCP/IP > APN and ticking the APN box and typing "Internet", and my App World still gives me the same error message, I rebooted my phone after the setting and tried to access the app world, still got an error message, i tried it without rebooting and the results are still the same. What do I do now?

Thankfully I was able to find most of the apps I downloaded in the download folder, but one of them reset and I don't have the activation code or the record that I bought that particular app since my world has no record of it.

I read that AIM is no longer supported by Blackberry but that there is an AIM app to download. I followed the direction and uninstalled my current AIM and sent to download the current AIM and still getting the server error.
