View 1 RepliesI want to change my e-mail on my Blackberry, but when I select Email configuration, the following message pops out: "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I select "retry", but the same message returns, again and again. What should I do to change my e-mail configuration? I am connected to the internet with Blackberry service.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to update the IMAP password on a 9700 Bold, a process I've done numerous times in the recent past. However, on this particular device, I cannot even get to the menu for email accounts. Every attempt results in the following ianane OS message; "Your device had a problem connecting to the server." I'm then required to either try again (a never ending loop) or cancel.
I suspect this has something to do with my provider (AT&T) because I had similar symptoms on another device (same model, w/o enterprise security policies). I was able to fix it on the other device by deleting the IMAP Service Books and then doing a hard reset. It doesn't work for the problem BB.
My ex 9550 (which had this problem when i had it, and now went to my brother), gives me the error from the title. its a verizon unlocked storm 2, on a GSM argentinian carrier.

This happened on .320, hybrids older than .428, and now on current hybrids

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my Blackberry Curve 8530 yesterday. I can not get on AppWorld. Message states "Blackberry AppWorld is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App Server. Verify your internet connection and try again (error30637). I am able to get to Google through the internet browser, so I don't understand why I can't get into AppWorld. I have called my provider (Cricket) to make sure I have a plan that includes the Blackberry Browser and have been told yes.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my 9360 OS recently from OS 7.0 to v 7.1.0.336, Platform 9.6.0.51. Since the upgrade I no longer have the option to delete e-mails on handheld only or on the server as well. I really enjoyed having the option to delete totally or just from my handheld and then view the mail later on my pc.When I delete a mail from my BB now, it just deletes it from my device and leaves it on the server without the option to delete it there as well.

Default Services: <my primary email> (I also have a second BIS email attached, but the CICAL for that one has been deleted.)
After struggling for days to get rid of the Device Default calendar (in addition to the calendar associated with my primary email and which is set as default under Default Services), I finally got my whole BB calendar on to the one calendar it should be on: the one associated with my primary email. And lo and behold, the Device Default disappeared. hallelujah, I thought.
Having cleared out the calendar using Device Manager, I then opted for a one way sync from Outlook to my new BB with its one and only calendar now, the calendar associated with my primary email and listed as the default under Default Services.....
I would like to synchronise my emails/contacts with my MS Outlook but my BlackBerry keep on asking me for the device password. what is this password because it is different from the one I'm using to unlock my phone.

I have tried on three different computers with good stable internet connections and get the "connection timed out" error on all of them. Using Nokia 5230 and have tried both on XP and Vista.

View 64 Replies View RelatedRight in the middle to the day on Sept. 9 my iPhone 5 started getting "Cannot Get Mail" messages when trying to connect to my work mail server. This account has been running fine for the last year. However iCloud mail works and the exact same settings on my iPad and desktop are working without a glitch. I have tried closing, soft rebooting, powering off etc.Â

I am trying to set up on a used BB bold 9700 i just bought my personal email using teh Email set up. I am receiving a message with the following: first it says connecting to email settings for about 1 minute..... then it shows your device had a problem connecting to the server, try again. and shows always the same.It is not tmobile, all other work great, calls, browser, etc.

When I touch the icon to connect I get error message "Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to BB App W server. Verify your network connection and try again."
1) the new work connection is working fine.
2) I have downloaded the B App W app twice so far still introduces. Any ideas that can help me?

However, after typing all the credentials and server name (exordia.co.za) it gives me an error message that read: "Cannot connect to email server or invalid server name". I have made sure that the details are correct. I have contacted my mail service provider and they want me to use notifysync, however that also does not work as it requires a license key that I do not have. They say that they do not support BlackBerry. Should I not be able to receive messages from the exchange server irrelevant if it is supported for Blackberry or not?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using a Nokia N97 with the v21 firmware. I am connecting to a mail server via IMAP, using the phone's mail client (not mail for exchange). This has previously worked perfectly, however now I cannot update my inbox and view the emails. When I try to update the inbox, I get a dialogue box that says "Website has sent an untrusted certificate". After choosing "allow permanently", the inbox does not update. The message comes up every time I try to update (even when I've previously chosen "allow permanently".
I can however successfully send emails via the SMTP server using the phone (IMAP for sending is restricted, so have to use SMTP). Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening, and how I can solve it? I've also contacted the IT guys for the mail server, as I'm not sure whether the problem lies with the mail server or the phone, or both.
I got my 9900 in August and haven't had this problem before. I can connect to my WiFi -- it shows as connected, strong connection etc. But when I try to go to any site on my browser I get "Unable to find the requested server. This is on my home wifi. But my laptop and WiFi are still fine so it's only on my phone. However, I discovered I am able to connect to other wifis - just not the one at home. The problem originated right when I was downloading some software upgrades. I wasn't really paying much attention to what I was doing and I'm not even sure how I got into downloading these upgrades because I'd never done that before. Anyway, one of the downloads seemed to have got stuck mid-way through downloading.

(This has happened before on another non-BB phone -- So I didn't think much of it) Then I tried to log in to the Yahoo Instant Messenger on the IM folder.Each one (MSN, YIM, AIM) gave me the error message of 'Service not Enabled for this Handheld device" I looked on Google, YES I do have a data plan, I went to my service provider about a different problem, (Close enough, it was about emails), and I DO have the Data plan.

I've tried changing the following: Settings -> Connectivity -> Admin Settings -> Packet Data -> When Needed / When Available but this doesn't make a difference.
