BB Curve :: Getting The Message Uncaught Exception:net.rim.device.api.system.ObjectGroupReadOnlyException
Jul 12, 2012
I have now started getting the message Uncaught exception:net.rim.device.api.system.ObjectGroupReadOnlyException when I press the green key to make a call. This then remains on the screen even if I press to confirm OK. It eventually goes away but while on the screen I cannot do anything else other than turn the phone off.
I recently had an error message come up on my blackberry curve 8520 saying 'uncaught exception 3', this message now comes up every time i switch my phone on. I originally thought it was from one of my apps that i had downloaded and now removed from my device. My keypad is now not completely working. I would like to also save all my contacts to my sim as i don't want to lose them all if my phone does break altogether.
I'm able to send texts but its a hassle. I can't receive any texts at the moment, and I can't see the sms mms icon. I got a message saying uncaught exception java.lang.nullpointer exception
My curve firsts gave me error messages uncaught exception application registry get or wait for (0x7c802477365c3985) now my phone keep giving me a white screen when I switch it on with app error 253 reset. Keep resetting and same white screen. What do I do?
Last night my battery was on the point of dying. It was in standby mode with the light flashing orange but when i went to press some buttons, nothing. It wouldn't respond to anything so i removed and re-inserted the battery (without having it on charge). When it did finally fire back up my home page was adorned with the message 'Uncaught Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException' (with a highlighted OK option). But it's completely frozen. I can't press ok. I can't scroll onto anything else. I can't turn off the handset, Ctrl Shift Delete doesn't respond. Nothing. I've replaced the battery numerous times, charged the phone, removed and reinserted the sim.
I got a new Blackberry, the 9360, not over 24hours and i got this error ''Uncaught exception:Missing resource net.rim.device.apps.internal.bis.resource.BISClient''i dont know how to deal with it, but i get this everytime i reboot the device.
I am quite new to the BB world and am encountering a few problems. I have a BB Curve 8520 which is running OS 5.2. At times when I reboot my handheld it shows Uncaught exception 9 > = 9 or Uncaught exception 7 > = 7. I read a bit about it on the forums and found it may be because the system has an if command but there is no end command which may cause this error. Now I am technically not very sound and want to know what should I do to eradicate this problem!!
Also, how many times should one reboot their phone? I mean should it be daily? I read somewhere on the forums here only that it is good to do it daily if at some point I am not clear enough or asking a lot of questions, however,
I got some uncaught exception message: Application registry. wait for (0x7c802477365c3985) timeout from the last night and i am unable to access the call log and can not make a call or recieve a call. and another message uncaught exception index 13>=13.
After I enter my password, I am getting the following message "uncaught exception: application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(77) is not responding, process terminated".
I click "okay" then get access to my screen but cannot open emai or SMS/MMS or browser; no problem opening contacts or calendar.
I have removed and reinserted battery but no further ahead
I have a BB Torch 9800, when I click to use BBM I get a message "uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException" now please if you know how to resolve this please be simple and discriptive (I am not an **bleep** - but this is my first BB phone). I have no idea how to resolve this issue, most of what I have seen talks about curve or bold hand sets who have updated their OS - I have neither phone or updated my OS.
My BB 9700 which I've had for about 3 yrs has suddenly died! I get an error mesage saying "uncaught exception: 3 > =3 followed by a white screen saying erro 523, I've tried downloading update etc but it simply won't let me. Please can somebody tell me how to cleab install when my BB won't connect to my PC? It's recognised in the blue tooth application
I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem.....every time I reboot my phone, I get this message "Application_net_rim_bb_phone_app(47) is not responding. I am on sprint and running .419. I can make phone calls and everything, but just curious what that error message means.
Also, I am no longer getting MMS messages with this update, everything comes through as a SMS, and I have to use that dreaded sprint picture mail to see the message. In which the message never comes out clear.....

I'm getting the following message when I try to send a text message 'Uncaught exception-Application net_rim_bb_messaging_appp (805) is not responding-process terminnated'I am unable to send text messages from my device?
After updating my BB Torch 9800 from software Version 6.0 Bundle 1907 to Software Version 6.0 2647 I have been receiving an 'uncaught exception UUID must be 36 characters long' error message ever time I reboot. How do I correct this?
I have downloaded several themes for me Blackberry Bold 9700 and i am unable to access the interet/web browser. Whenever i click on it the error message Uncaught excpetion:java-lang-illegalarumentexception. Is there any advice someone could please give me as it would be greatly appreciated as i have had my first Blackberry for only 1 month?
After I pull the battery on my Curve 8530 (Verizon, v5.0.0.973), I get an error message (or two) that says:Uncaught exception 6 > = 6 Uncaught exception 4 > = f I click "OK," it goes away.I am not aware of any new apps I've downloaded since the error began. In the forums, I saw someone post about checking the log file, but the directions on how to do that were for a different device. Can I do it on the Curve, and if so, how?
My BB 8900 keeps telling me this: "uncaught exception: index 6 >=6"sms has completely disapeared!!! I can't even receive them any more!I'm not so capable to deal with electronic devices and I really don't know what to do...
My wife's BB IM quit working after a firmware update. Now she gets "Uncaught exception:
java.lang.NullPointerException" error. I have done a hard reset, and uninstalled the messenger a couple times, however she still gets the error. One of the reasons to get the BB was for this feature
I just got the error uncaught exception: index 4>= 4 today. It pops up in a dialogue box, but I can't click 'ok' or exit the screen. It won't let me access anything and then the screen just turns black like it is going to sleep.I know it's a buggy app, but I can't press any buttons to get to the home screen, or anything like that.I've tried pulling the battery and basically hitting every button possible to try and get it figured out..
i have a blackberry 8520, and my 'a' button completely doesnt work sometimes! and my 'alt' button... sometimes when the screen goes off, it doesnt recognize ive pressed a button to light up the sreen!
I am getting an error message Uncaught exception: Application Registry.waitFor (0x1c26ebcd7b130582) time out. I cannot connect mt phone to my desktop manager or indeed make any use of my phone.
Today I got an "uncaught exception error" after I pulled the headset adapter out while listening to music without hitting the pause button first then holstering the phone. It must've happened a couple of times before without the error appearing because a couple of times in the last week when I hit menu I noticed "playing now" was missing, even though I was in the middle of an album. Anyone get this? IDK if I should install the Sprint version over this.
I am unable to use my phone, get to my contacts, etc. This message is on the display. I can remove the battery and re-insert and it goes away, but the moment I touch any key, the message is back!! I NEED to use my phone.
I've had problems editing my contacts or adding a new one; it simply freezes or ignores my request. I don't know what to do, I take the battery out and restart my phone but it doesn't work.
