WhatsApp NEVER worked. And Facebook App works only sometimes (though the chat almost NEVER works).

i have tried the host routing table, resetting the phone any everything, its just not working.
I am with Virgin Mobile UK and have a Blackberry Curve 9300 I noticed this issue today, all I remember is yesterday installing the newest version of twitter and it rebooting the device. The blackberry messenger icon is missing and the shortcut key on the side was set to BBM, though now it says it isn't set to anything. A contact sent me a messege on bbm but I didn't recieve it even though it came up as delivered. They even pinged me, no vibration no anything! Though when they sent me a PIN it worked.. Though when looking at the applications in the setting menu BBM is still there and when trying to install BBM again, it asked me to replace 5.0 with the newer version. I pressed yes but everytime the device fails to download the newer version of BBM halfway through. I restarted twice and did a dry battery pull and the issue still isn't resolved

After the security wipe I was able to reinstall all of my apps but my blackberry messenger is no longer working. I am not receiving invitations and my invitations are not being received. I am registered on the blackberry network under my service provider in the United States but I am currently visiting in a different country and using my apps using WiFi. View 4 Replies View RelatedIve had it less than a week and im getting more familiar with its features and how it operates, however, ive set up the BB instant messenger using PIN.
Now, the main problem is the sound notifications for the messenger.
In "BlackBerry Messenger Alert" I set "out of holster" to 'tone' and the volume to 'medium'. And, in:
"BlackBerry Messenger New Message" - The same.
When i recieve the INITIAL chat request, my phone makes the sound ive set. Once in the messenger chatting i still get the notification sounds.
I have tried all manner of different setting from muting, and setting 'tone' to 'none'; both in holster and out of holster.
Basically, i want my phone to notify me of the initial/new message, but NOT beep/sound during the actual conversation.
Im having problems with the messenger i cant accept requests and other people cant accept mine nothing is coming up to verify on the other blackberrys that i have sent one to them its nothing to do with the data plan iv been through that a tone of times can anyone help me please?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI downloaded YM last night, and when it was done downloading, I clicked on the YM icon, nothing happened. My BB just freezed, tried battery pull couple of time, nothing happened.
So, today I got a nerve to upgrade the OS from 4.6 to the latest released by my carrier 5.0.0.461. Upgrading was successful, but the YM was still not working, it just freezed my blackberry.
I even tried JMLcmdr to wipe al the whole thing on my BB and reinstalled the latest OS, still the YM problem persists.
What should I do now ? Was there something I did wrong while upgrading YM at the first place ?
I'm having this issue with my curve 8520, OS and berry messenger are both up to date everytime i try send a picture to any berry messenger contact never start to transfering the photo, i know that's not people isn't accepting the photos as they never recive the photo, i tried with a friend next to me and he never recive the photo, same problem is with Facebook 2.0 i can't upload photos to my albums
