BB Curve :: Messenger Contacts Lost In 8520?
Mar 14, 2011My Blackberry Curve 8520 indicated that I must upgrade my bbm to a newer version before I could continue using it. I upgraded my bbm, but now all my contacts are gone! How can I get them back? I'm on Vodacom in South Africa

Apr 5, 2010Okay, so my brother got the new BlackBerry Storm and gave me his old BlackBerry Curve 8520 and I can't get the BlackBerry Messenger to work. I can't add contacts on it, and when people try to add me I don't get a notification. My web browser also doesn't work, even though I'm connected to a wireless internet.
Off topic, but how do I send stuff from my computer to my BB, by bluetooth, or is there a wire?

Oct 13, 2011I just got a new phone because I lost my old one and I've been trying to restore my bb messenger contacts through the email option which I had done before with other blackberrys and had worked perfectly. This time, when I click on the option to restore it says that they have to send an email to verify that my email account is valid, I click ok and then it says that my email account (which is working perfectly on the phone) is invalid and they were unable to send a verification email and to check if the account is valid and try again later. I have been doing this for two days and nothing has changed.

Mar 4, 2012Alright so, I've never had a hitch with my blackberry since I got it in August 2011.Recently I could be talking to my friend on BBM and the next minute it's saying I no longer have them as a contact and if i'd like to reinvite them? It's starting to get really annoying because it happens about 4 or 5 times a day with multiple contacts. I've tried restoring my phone back to an earlier date, I've updated bbm and I'm now running out of options because I can't delete BBM and reinstall it because I don't have the option anymore.

Jul 7, 2010I have my new blackberry 9700 and i updated to 5.0.0.714 Os at the moment i stars using, i restore my contacts using the wireless restore, it seen to be ok, i have all my contacts that i have on the old 9000 but when i go to sleep and i wake up some contacts are erase, when i talk to a contact the screen tell me to invite againt or erase them, but i never erase the contact from my list and the other persont neither erase me (its my best friend) always i need to re invite, it works al the day but at 2:30 AM to 3:00 AM the contact say to be erase...
i erase the bbm reinstall, deactive the wireless backup, reinstall the bbm and just add this 1 contact, erase the phone, reinstall the OS... the problem is on the blackberry servers that can not acept the contact and erase me over the air...

I can see two of my contacts pictures because they changed them, but others I can't see. Someone even said they had changed their picture and I still can't see it. I deleted the contacts and readded them but this didn't resolve the problem. Also, I can no longer uninstall BBM and reinstall it

When I click on the contacts name nothing happens, if I try to "open chat" nothing happens. The only way to send a message is to "Broadcast Message". I have no problems with email or SMS.
