Within the past 24 hours my Blackberry Curve has stopped receiving emails; however my desktop continues to receive emails as I have had them post to both places. how to navigate the Blackberry device and restore the receipt of emails?
I got a device update from Verizon that wiped out my email accounts. I couldn't add the blackberry email address associated with my device back to the phone because I don't know the password. I created a new blackberry email address, but when I try to get updated in AppWorld it still wants the password from the old address. When I request a password reset it sends the information to the old email address which I can't access because I don't know the password.
Does anyone know how to change the email address associated with my device OR how to have the password reset info sent to a different email address?
I recently upgraded my OS on my Curve 8520 to Version 5.00 Bundle 1168 and I find that the email app is no longer on the phone. I know my email account is OK as I can see the unread messages on the message icon at the top of the phone showing them arriving but I can not see the app to see them.
My e-mail accounts integrated into my Curve 9300 3G with OS 6 were wrongfully deleted by my network carrier. Now I'm having a hard time reintegrating all my e-mail messages back into my device.I tried doing the reintegration process via web (supported by my network carrier) but only e-mail messages in the past week were synched into my device.I did try retrieving my messages through the e-mail setup. But every time I chose the E-mail Accounts icon, nothing seemed to respond. However, all other icons in the Setup section did work, except for the E-mail Accounts icon.I just needed to reintegrate my e-mail messages, including the oldest ones, into my device, but how do I resolve that? I know you guys would understand that with all e-mail messages synched into your device, you don't need to open a laptop and search an important message that was received
I have bought a secondhand bb and when i went to use app world her email addy is installed for this 'smartphone' and keeps asking for her password, which she wont give to me, how do i replace her email with mine? i have tried just deleting hers and trying to over ride with mine but that doesnt work.
I seem not to understand but my blackberry 8520 device has stopped receiving email messages and I ve tried setting up another one yet its still not working. Username and password incorrect is what I always get as reply. Please can anyone help me out cos am seriously worried about this.
I want to change my e-mail on my Blackberry, but when I select Email configuration, the following message pops out: "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I select "retry", but the same message returns, again and again. What should I do to change my e-mail configuration? I am connected to the internet with Blackberry service.
I bought a 2nd hand 8900 but it doesn't have the wizard to set ip my email I've looked in all options and menus but there is nothing for email. I set up blackberry in my company and I wonder if this device is set to enterprise activation instead of other activations. I called my carrier o2 but the weren't helpful and said it was because I was on the wrong tariff and didn't have an o2 email address. I've wiped the device could updating the software out this back? It doesn't show a carrier when I start it up I think it was originally purchased as a sim free device. Any thoughts?
I have three email accounts set up on my 8330. I am no longer using one of them, so I deleted it using the email account setup application on the device, as well as going online to my Sprint BlackBerry account and deleting it there. The icon is still appearing on my device, and for some reason, is now the default account for sending emails. Since the account has, in fact, been deleted, emails don't actually go through from this account. It's a huge pain to keep remembering to change the account I send emails from. On a side note - I have also changed my settings to use a different account as my default account - it doesn't make a difference. The settings are right when I check them, but when I test them, the old (deleted) account is still the default. What am I missing?? How can I get rid of this account once and for all? I really don't want to wipe my device and start over...
I am using the Google calendar sync to push my Outlook appointments to my Google calendar, and then using the Google calendar app on my BB 8530 to download my consildated Outlook/Google calendar. This works great, except for one problem. When I receive an invite for a meeting via my Exchange email on my device, it automatically adds it to my calendar, hence creating a duplicate calendar item.
In my calendar options on my BB, the "Wireless Sync" option is grayed out and set to "No." (since I don't use a BES connection)
How can I stop my BB from adding items to my calendar automatically when it sees the calendar invite in my email on the device?
I have Verizon service and use webmail to sync my Exchange email.
You've probably all been asked this loads and I've read some forums posts and tried software but ive not been able to find a solution or answer.Basically Ive just got myself a Storm2 and was told by my provider that I could sync my emails from outlook to my device and back like a windows mobile device. As ive found out this isnt the case, I really like the phone and dont want to hand it back over to swap for another device but if I dont find a solution then I wont have a choice. My question is, is there any software available that will sync my device to my computer the same as a WM device does through activesync?I have tried Astrasync and Notifysync both which throw errors up and dont work
If I have a corporate blackberry with email delivered from BES, and I want to add an additional internet email address, can I do this on the handset or web (equivalent to mobileemail.vodafone.net)?
I hope someone can help because I'm losing the will to live over this one!

I bought a SIM free BB 9700 to use with my 02 SIM card. I applied the unlimited BB tariff and proceeded to set up four email accounts into the device which are all for my small business. I waited to do this until I knew the O2 bolt on had been applied correctly.I set the accounts up via the BIS server website which sent them down to the device; seemingly correctly.
I received email correctly for that day and could send as well with everything syncing with my IMAP servers and Outlook.Next morning - no email delivered to the device and I was unsuccessful in sending emails as well from the device to addresses.I tried to send down the service books - I sent them but no change.I got my four email accounts working again correctly but had to delete the accounts from BIS and recreate.I could then receive email correctly for the rest of the day and could send as well with everything syncing with my IMAP servers and Outlook.
Next morning the same thing happened - no email delivered to the device and I was unsuccessful in sending emails as well from the device to addresses.I then did a complete device wipe. When the device rebooted it seemed to synchronise with the BIS and then my accounts worked again for the remainder of the day. This morning - the same thing happened - no email delivered to the device and I was unsuccessful in sending emails as well from the device to addresses.
I have now created my @o2email address and applied my long standing @hotmail.co.uk address to the 9700 and they work fine - at the moment (we'll see about tomorrow!) to see if they fail as well.I have sent test mails today from the @O2 account and hotmail to each other and also to my main small business account from my BB. The @O2 and Hotmail emails arrive both on the device and (hotmail) on outlook and the main business account arrives on outlook BUT the main business account email does NOT arrive on the device.
I cannot seemingly send anything from my business addresses anywhere (from the device) with the only outgoing addresses that work being the @O2 and @hotmail accounts on the BB - unless I do a device wipe or delete the accounts and recreate.Emails sent from the BB from either @O2 or @hotmail arrive on the BB but not anything sent to the work accounts sent from @O2 or @hotmail from the BB - although the emails sent to the work addresses WILL appear on my outlook...
Speaking to O2 has been tough and they are blaming the server people who host my small business domain and such, although I think it is more than that though I could be wrong. My server people insist it isn't their end, saying they can see from the logs that RIM seems to stop checking for emails at times they detailed when the device stopped receiving emails from one day to the next.
I have got Curve 9300 with OS v5.0.0.977. I am unable to receive anything using Bluetooth from the paired device but sending anything to other device is OK.
I updated my blackberry software overnight on my device (curve 9330) and when I woke up in the morning there was a constant white screen with a little diagram and 561 error message underneath. I followed the instructions to update the device software on my desktop and had the latest version (6.1.0.35).The device does not connect to the PC at all and a battery reset on the device did not help.It is frozen with the white 561 error message screen.
My wife recently purchased the 8530 curve, and I have the 8330. I was playing around with it and liked the view and some of the features that the new software has available (mainly the new clock that has 'bedside' options for use as an alarm clock and the look of the icons.). Does anyone know if the 8530 software can be run on the 8330 without issues?
I have this problem with my E71 device: I set up some emails using the 'Set up e-mail' function on my device.I later found out that I had done them wrongly and need to remove them from the device!I have tried to remove them by clicking the mailbox and then going to options. There is no option for 'remove/delete mailbox. How can I remove these (there are two!) from the device?

i was using Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) without any problems for access to my corporate mail in one year . Now I have a problem with access to mail through BIS service. Despite an error, mail works with MS Outlook and a web with no any problem.
Purchased blackberry bold 9780 today,I have email addresses registered and asks me to verify them but when I attempt to do so it displays the following message, "Activation failed. An error was encountered when sending the activation transmission" I have tried deleting my email accounts and setting them up again but have been unsuccessful doing it this way too.
After transferring all the data from old BB to the new one (via desktop manager), emails didn't seem to move. Now I can't receive my emails on the device. When accessing email setup, every time it gives the following message "A new BB device has been detected. You must move your email account(s) to receive email on this device. To move an email account, you will need to type the email account password. At least one email account must be moved to set up email on this device". After typing in all passwords, they are verified, but the moment I return to setup, it's the same - if accessing email setup again, it's the same message and no emails coming in.
am really hoping someone can help me to set up my email on my blackberry phone, I've gone through the setup wizard but when I get to the email section there is only the option to create a email account with a blackberry enterprise server and I believe there should be another option. I need a system restore to try to resolve this but to no avail,
I am using my BB as a phone on top of using it to send/receive emails. Is there a way to stop receiving emails (e.g. over the WE or after office hour) but still using the BB as a phone? Ideally, I would like to be able to switch off automatically the mail reception from for instance 8 pm to 7 am.
When I read my email from laptop, It will not be send to BB. I want to have it sent to BB as well. I am using outlook 2007. When I read email from BB. It will automatically delete from the device. I want to keep on device so I can refer to when I am not in the office. When I sent email form BB. I want to store my sent item ton my device. It is not show the email I sent.
I've changed a blackberry javelin 9800 since it was broken and my provider gave me a new device. I've used Desktop Manager in order to download phonebook and other settings, but I'm not able to access internet anymore. I'm not getting good support from the provider, consider that the switch between old and new device could not be done having both of them available at the same time, since by their policy I've taken the broken one to the customer center and they provided me the new one, without changing the configuration between the two.
