I am using BB Desktop Manager 6.2010 with bb curve running 5.0.0.2030. I am attempting to sync outlook 2007 on my PC running XP. Every time the sync begins I get an unknown error and the sync shuts down.
View 1 RepliesKies 3 always crashes with an "Unknown Error" when trying to sync my Outlook 2007 calendar. Contacts and Tasks sync okay.
I've literally spent hours on the phone with Samsung (lack of) technical support with no resolution. They are in fact blaming Outlook claiming that this "Unknown Error" is an Outlook error and not a Kies 3 error (I doubt that). Their other suggestion is a factory reset on the phone which I don't want to do or to try another PC.
Using Windows 7 Pro, latest updates to Kies 3 and latest firmware updated today on the phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been trying for the last 4 hours to sync up my contacts from outlook to contacts on blackberry. 1st I got an error "0x80040fb3"...read several posts on crackberry.com & fixed this, I think. Now desktop manager acts like it is syncing & shows complete but error pops up showing unable to complete sync. doesn't say why or whatever. ugh, i'm so frustrating. probably be easier to type each contact into blackberry!! also i tried to delete contacts from blackberry using the desktop manager & it tells me the device isn't connected, but of course it is.

To get into this I click on applications then facebook I prefer to get into facebook this way rather than clicking on the globe. It then gives me the option to enter my facebook email address and password once I've done this I click on login. It very rarely lets me on a box keeps coming up saying unknown error or login expired. It occasionally lets me on after trying to log in about 50 times. I tried uninstalling the app and re-installing it but still no difference.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWe recently upgraded my wife's Blackberry to a Curve 3G 9330. When we try to sync to Outlook (non-Exchange), we encounter an error with the contacts (address book). The Desktop Software simply indicates an "unknown error" - not particularly facilitate. We've narrowed it down to a potentially bad contact record on the Blackberry, but cannot find a way to delete it. The options menu will not come up on the Blackberry for this one record. We've try to sync the device by overwriting the contacts with new data from Outlook, but still get's the same error message. I cannot find any information on erasing/deleting the complete contact list on the Blackberry.

Nor does it work when I use the tracker to click on "sign in". Nothing happens so I can't access these sites. If I go to another website, for example, Google.com, enter my text and click the Enter key, it loads and shows me my results. Links seem to work on other websites too. Wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and have a suggestion?

I've done a couple of battery pulls and sent my service books but still happening. If I close my browser and re open it it will work again but maybe ten minutes later will happen several times. There is also a rectangular symbol with a circle around it and a line through it.I have never had a Blackberry so I am at a loss. I was surfing around and I have found conflicting information. I am going to download the Blackberry desktop software onto my computer and my instinct is telling me to download software V.5.0.0.459 (his sister has this on her Blackberry). After the Sprint screen, an 'uncaught inception' message pops up, then it proceeds to verify security software.....the screen turns bright white and a tiny message in the middle of the screen says: app error 523 with the word 'reset' highlighted under it.....I can't do anything but click on it, for it to shut down and go through the whole exact thing all over again..

Verify your internet connection and try again (error30637). I am able to get to Google through the internet browser, so I don't understand why I can't get into AppWorld. I have called my provider (Cricket) to make sure I have a plan that includes the Blackberry Browser and have been told yes.

When I try to log in on my desktop, it says my device is not accessible and I must visit the website on my phone. I have tried sending emails TO my phone and sending emails FROM my phone. Neither one works.

I'm on my THIRD 8520 now, all previous handsets bombed out and froze with that godawful 'Restore Software: Error 552 ' No amount of visits or calls to Blackberry Support helped and the phone OS couldn't be reset. What a pain in the *bleep* not to mention data and software loss. The ONLY common factor was Opera Mini 5 , which sometimes froze, unable to exit. So a soft or hard reset (battery out) Then wait and wait and wait Then blank screen then Restore Software: Error 552. Still not sure if it's an Opera Mini issue or general out of memory issue. And there's no easy goddam way to kill a running process without a battery reset.

I currently have a BlackBerry Curve and has been working fine for a while now, but over the last 2 hours i cant send or recieve txt messages! If i try and make a call i get ''Supplementary service error: General error''. I couldnt find much about this on Google except a hard battery pull while the phone was on, which i tried but still no luck. Anyone got any idea's for me to resolve this issue ? I'm also getting 'Phone not allowed MM#5' when i try an emergency call.
