i recently updated software to V5.0.0.681 and now am unable to receive SMS's. i have been on the phone to 02 for hours but they cannot resolve.
When a test message is sent i see the two little arros appear but nothing comes to my handset. My sim works in other phones and everything else is ok
i was receiving email messages from my gmail account on my blackberry 8900, but after that i it has completely stopped.my blackberry is on t-mobile and os version is v4.6.1.114. Can someone please help?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a blackberry 8900 and am trying to upgrade the software to the newest version (5.0 I assume). However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

I could send MMS and everything else was fully functional.I figured it was an OS problem and upgraded to 5.0.0.592, but still no luck.I guess I'm a complete novice at this since the last BB I owned was the Pearl and that was two years ago, so is there a way I can clean the whole device and put everything back to factory settings and start from the ground up?would this tactic solve my issue, anyway?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a little problem, if we can consider this a problem. When i receave a SMS from a friend X, my Blackberry lag (the screen doesn't change, for like 0.5 sec). But when I receave a SMS from let's say Y, it can take up to 5 to 10 seconds before the screen move or I can move with the track pad to see the message. It's annoying.
So here is what I think, Is this because.. :
- I have over 35 000 SMS in the DB ?
- I have like 100 SMS from X and 5000 from Y ?
- My phone is on the vibrator but for Y he has a music ?
- Is this OS 5 ? But he is faster then OS 4 and I updated a while ago ?

Ever since I got my T-Mo 8900 last September I have never really gotten the GPS to work quite right. When I use the maps or apps that use the GPS I never can get a connection, so I assume by default it locates me my cell towers (which always always points my locations incorrectly by a half mile or so). Is there something I am missing in the setup or options. Or is this just a result of crappy GPS capabilities on the 8900's part?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an 8900 Curve, and have been using Wifi to connect to the internet, in my home and everywhere else I go. I'm in Mexico using Telcel. You don't need a plan just to connect to the internet, that's what WiFi is for. It just stopped connecting the other day for some reason. The wifi icon does not appear at the top. I have the browser set to HotSpot, it's the only option actually, I set the TCP/IP APN to the Mexican settings (you can do that here: http://www.blackberrytune.com/blackberry-tcp-ip-apn-settings/), but still nothing!WTF is wrong with this POS!

My friends just sent me a message and I cannot click and read it. I cannot reply or do anything about the messages. Then I just delete the whole thing. Actually the red light gets on (which shows all notifications) and a SMS symbol can be seen on the display, but when I look for the SMS it doesn't appear.The only way I can read new SMS are that I write a SMS on my own to be able to read the SMS I just got before! Besides I have to click twice on it until it really opens the SMS.I've even uninstalled these Themes, but nothing changed.
