I have a BlackBerry Curve 8900. Off late, I am not able to open all mails on my device. Some open but many do not. I do not remember changing any settings on my device for the same. When I click the trackball to open, nothing happens and it hangs up. I use the back button then.

Is this a space issue? Is there a way to purge deleted messages, when I had my Curve there was a way to purge deleted items.

View 10 Replies View Relatedi have an 8900 blackberry.i have one folder/mailbox where i get all my sms stuff. another folder/mailbox that i have for gmail where i get all my gmail mails.i have a third mailbox -which is for my office mails. however i dont have an exclusive folder for that yet. i'm sure there is an easy way to create it but i dont really know to right now i access my office mails from the "messages" folder that basically entails my gmail, sms and office messages ALL in one.how do i create an exclusive mailbox/folder for my office emails?

So, if I send an email to myself, both the mail (received) and the sent mail show up in the handheld "inbox". I could not find a set up option so that the send mail will not be listed in the inbox. Any idea? Thanks.

The delete works fine.
I recently purchased a blackberry 8900 and am trying to upgrade the software to the newest version (5.0 I assume). However whenever I check for updates via the blackberry site the desktop manger pops up and does not offer this upgrade. All it says it 4.6.1 (current) and the rest are downgrades, so I'm not quite sure what I need to do to get the new OS to even appear, much less download it and work.

When i write any email address in "To or CC" field, it is not taking the mail address and even it is not showing Send option also.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new E7 configured with my corporate Exchange 2003 server account and my private gmail. E7 runs the most current SW P1.1 014.002.263.03.Mail/calendar/contacts sync works but opening a received mail with any attachment listed (even how tiny, like 1kb jpeg) on the mail application takes ages. If I click on a message on the mail list it can take upto 30 seconds before the screen shows the message. During the time the phone freezes, even the hardware buttons are not responding. The symptom is the same on Exchange and Gmail accounts. Messages not having any attachments open in about 4 secs. I have tried to delete the accounts etc. but no joy.The mails are received as push, I have tried also scheduled receiving, offline mode etc. but the speed is the same. Is anyone else seeing this and is there anything to be done? The speed of the mail application is so poor that it prevents me to use the E7 as the business phone.
View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since I got my T-Mo 8900 last September I have never really gotten the GPS to work quite right. When I use the maps or apps that use the GPS I never can get a connection, so I assume by default it locates me my cell towers (which always always points my locations incorrectly by a half mile or so). Is there something I am missing in the setup or options. Or is this just a result of crappy GPS capabilities on the 8900's part?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an 8900 Curve, and have been using Wifi to connect to the internet, in my home and everywhere else I go. I'm in Mexico using Telcel. You don't need a plan just to connect to the internet, that's what WiFi is for. It just stopped connecting the other day for some reason. The wifi icon does not appear at the top. I have the browser set to HotSpot, it's the only option actually, I set the TCP/IP APN to the Mexican settings (you can do that here: http://www.blackberrytune.com/blackberry-tcp-ip-apn-settings/), but still nothing!WTF is wrong with this POS!

My friends just sent me a message and I cannot click and read it. I cannot reply or do anything about the messages. Then I just delete the whole thing.
