I've been trying to log into my wifi connection but having problems. The phone says that it is connected to the wifi and the name comes up on the screen however the wifi logo remains gray which means that I am not actually connected properly.

Last night when I turned on my wifi at home, the wifi and phone signal bars appeared but were gray and I had no internet/data connection. I checked the wifi settings which indicated I was connected with good to excellent signal. Toggled the Wifi on and off several times, and turned phone on and off, which did not work. Went into wifi settings and told it to forget settings and reconnected, same result. When I turn off wifi, 3G appears and data connection is restored. Left the phone on in the media dock all night, and this morning when I turned on wifi, all was fine. What does gray signal bar mean?

Every time i open them, i get the message (in italian) about an unknown error and, if I continue, I see only grey and white checks. I would like to download again the BB maps on my smartphone but I am not able to find the way to do that. I went to [URL] but I am not able to find the way to download the BB maps.
I am seeking support on two things:
1) Why I always get this unknown error when I try to look at my maps?
2) How to download again the maps application?
My curve 9300 was working fine connecting to routers and enabling a wifi connection but has now started connecting to router says the connection name at the top but the wifi symbol stays grey. I know this is not a problem with my router as have tried it on different ones in different locations still same result.

Is there a way to keep WiFi Connected all the time? Mine turns white when the screen goes to sleep and takes some time to turn back blue. i have checked the advanced settings, and it is set to Always keep WiFi on during sleep. When it is white, I don't get email, Gmail Chat, etc. As soon as it turns blue, I receive email, and Chat messages.

Sometime when I power off my headset (Motorola HX-1 or H17txt) I notice the icon stays blue.his is bothersome becuase I'm not sure if something else is connecting to my phone. I check the wireless settings and all my devices will show Paired but not connected.Anyone else seeing this issue? I'm in NYC a lot and call me crazy but I worry about these kind of things. Only recently, my phone has been turning itself off and giving me the "white screen of death" but I've always managed to get passed it by removing the battery then restarting it. But today, it has turned itself off, reloaded to the main screen where it then freezes, the screen goes white and it says "app error 523 - reset". Ive clicked reset about a billion times and it keeps doing the same thing over and over again. I downloaded blackberry desktop/device software but it won't find my device. I tried that app wizard loader thing, but that didn't work either. And yes, my phone is charged.

It takes up to five minutes after powering the phone on for the bars to turn blue, and starting today, they just stay gray and I am unable to connect to the internet. Whenever I'm in a non-sprint zone and switch to global mode, the phone won't pick up a new network, even after I reboot the phone multiple times. I'm getting rather frustrated with this phone, as this happens frequently.

Just today, I was out and about and I realized that, although I was going into settings and turning Wi-Fi off, it just kept turning it right back on! (I had been using the Wi-Fi at the mall, then later I went to a friend's house and connected to my friend's Wi-Fi, which did not work.) So, I turned on my data, only for it to turn off after I guess about 30 seconds. I turned it back on, went on WhatsApp, in the middle of replying to a text from my friend it goes off yet again! What the... So, I went into settings and turned data on, and Wi-Fi off. As I watched, the Wi-Fi switched itself back on, and, predictably, even though there were no wireless networks to connect to, my data turned off as well.
This is really inconvenient. What could be causing the problem? I don't think I've downloaded any apps recently, but they do sometimes update. It was working fine on Thursday, but I've had my data off since then. I also booted into Safe Mode, and the problem doesn't seem to persist.
I installed lifetime free ovi maps on to N97 via computer and it worked initially. Then all of a sudden everything went black and phone restarted itself and since then it is stuck on the white screen with nokia logo.I have taken out battery umpteen times and everytime it is stuck. Won't go beyond this point.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my phone for two weeks now, and have only just had my SIM switched to a Blackberry SIM. I turned my phone off and on as advised, and all appeared to be well. When I went into settings to set up my email, it advised me that I had to download some new software. Which I did. It prompted me to reboot my phone, which I did. However, since then I cannot get past the Blackberry logo when turning it back on. None of the keys respond, and after a while it comes up with a white screen and a error message. The phone then turns itself off. I am not low on battery and I have removed the battery a number of times, but the same thing keeps on happening. Has anyone else had this problem, were you able to resolve it, or will I need to call into the local vodafone shop tomorrow?

I have tried putting it in DFU mod or recovery mode with the whole to seconds sleep/wake button and 20 home, but nothing works. I have checked all the connectors and I am still getting that screen.
