Mar 30, 2010My iPhone 3GS was stuck at the Apple logo today, leaving me no choice but to restore. I tried restoring back to 3.1.2, but iTunes gave me an error saying that the iPhone is not eligible for that requested build. Is it possible for me to upgrade to 3.1.3 then rejailbreak? Sn0wbreeze says it'll jailbreak 3GS at 3.1.3 with the old bootrom and non-MC. I got my 3GS around when it came out. Does upgrading bring me to a new bootrom?

Mar 18, 2010so I used snowbreeze to create a custom jailbroken 3.1.3 firmware for my 3Gs. i put my iphone in recovery mode and did the restore. It restored sucessfully except my iphone is stuck at the apple logo. I've tried doing it in DFU mode and i can't even do the restore because i get a error 1600 message. so right now my iphone is completely unusable.

May 8, 2010IPhone 3G OS 3.0 jailbroken and unlocked. Phone wont charge, or turn on. I get the silver apple, but it shuts off after that. Reset method of home key and power yield same result. Itunes does not see phone. When I hold home key, the Itunes logo and USB cable appear and I am able to get it on Itunes, with option of restore to factory settings. Several questions and concerns:
1) This will wipe all data and contacts?
2) My OS will return to 2.2 something i belive. Can i still download OS 3.0 and the firmware to needed? Phone must be unlocked/jailbroken for use on my carrier.
3) Where can I download above files?

Jul 14, 2010I have iphone 3GS 16 GB, currently on 3.1.3, jailbroken by spirit and unlocked. It is one month old only. I noticed that the battery drains so fast (3 hours of listening to music through earbuds and 30 minutes of wi-fi and that's all, I have truned wi-fi off, push notifications off, location off, EQ off etc). Since this battery life is not typical for iphone 3GS, I am planning to get it checked by Apple. But an employee there told me they will not touch it as long as it is jailbroken. I downloaded 3.1.3. and tried to make restore through itunes (click restore while holding shift and browse to 3.1.3) but it does accept and it gave me error # 3194. itunes asked me to upgrade to iOS 4.0 but I don't want to do it now becasue I know there is no jailbreak. So, is there anyway to un-jailbreak and restore to 3.1.3 so that it can be checked by Apple?

May 12, 2010I've been reading posts of various people with the similar issue but I've started to see a trend. I've jailbroken about 5 phones and recently everyone except mine got stuck on the exact same apple logo of boot.
No new software was installed. The phone was working perfectly fine before it rebooted by itself. Is apple doing anything to cause this. I know this might sound stupid but a pattern gets me to think it might be true.
In my case, my phone was working perfectly and I went into the mail app to check my mail and the phone got blank and came up with the apple logo. To top it off, I don't have the ssh for my phone as It was replaced and apple stopped signing 3.1.2's. Can anyone help please.Is there anything besides restore I can try? I tried putting the phone in DFU and starting it up but it didn't help.

It doesn't look like scratches and doesnt seem like it's on the glass itself but on the metal part under the glass. I wanted to be a little less OCD with this phone (on my previous iphone I taped up the apple logo and then put it in a case), but it is just really bothering me.
