my blackberry curve 9300 was dropped by my nephew. Two days ago it stopped recieving the GSM signal. Other mobile phones in the house have no problem with connecting to a network but try what I may the blackberry does not recieve a signal.

Right now it just shows the apple logo fading in and out. It cannot be powered down, it cannot be picked up by my iTunes account. On occasion it switches to the plug in cord with the arrow to "iTunes" so I run in and hook it upto the computer, open iTunes and nothing. No chime that its noted, no change. It just sits there. I have managed to reset it once and it worked for a day.

Yesterday I put it down on the table after answering a text and a few minutes later when I picked it up it was dead.It's not the battery...I recharged it all last night and it still will not turn on.I will take it back to the store since it is still under warranty. However has anyone experienced this before? And does anyone have a solution? Like maybe throw it against a brick wall?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI live in a poor reception area on the Rogers network. I've noticed that when I go into the basement the phone drops a signal pretty quickly. I am okay with this and is expected. My issue is when I get back on to the main floor, the phone does not pick up a signal again for a long time. Sometimes even toggling airplane mode doesn't work. My wife's iPhone does the same thing.
Anybody else having this problem?
What do these Icons represent or mean, and the meaning when they change Colors from White to Blue (Status Icons). There was a GB 2.3.4 User Manual Posted on Moto's site, Unfortunately no information was included about these Items. What does it mean when all three are blue, Including the H+ icon having arrows beneath it at the same time? T-mobile asked me to send the phone back but there is a major scratch on the screen so they told me my return warranty was void now.So far I have a $400 paper weight. Anyone fix this issue?

I have found that there seems to be no correlation between the signal strength (in dBm / asu) in Settings -> About phone -> Status and the signal bars that are shown. Often the signal bars will shoot from 1 to 5 or 6 even with really low signal ( ~97 to > 100 dBm) that doesn't fluctuate.

I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application.In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.

The mobile signal cuts off suddenly and i get SOS and after 4 to 5 seconds it comes back again.I also have one more problem. After disconnecting a call when i try to make one more call immedeatly then nothing happens in the handset. The call screen comes but the phone doesnt transmit or receive for 10 to 15 seconds. (Noticed that the two way arrow at the right top corner of the screen doesnt show up for some time).

The strangest thing is that it's able to pick up signal very rarely, and I'll get a flood of texts and BBMs / Emails etc, but I don't understand why.. I recently moved into Uni accomodation, and I know for a fact the signal is a little sketchy as it is, but I would have a decent amount all around my room / kitchen, and so far I have nothing. The signal is pretty much always on EDGE or GSM where the internet does not work, as well as Apps such as Facebook and Twitter, and do not receive my messages/BBM's and can't make calls at time - the call just fails- so I'm guessing there's something wrong with my signal of the phone.

I can't get a picture but on "Manage Connections" where it says "Mobile Network" it says "On" in green font but then the little symbol next to that is a white horizontal line. I finally joined the BB community and I am really enjoying my 9300 Curve.Recently I saw that a friend of mine had the OS 6 system on and I have been trying to upgrade my OS 5 to 6. However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.
