Jun 16, 2012Its a curve 9300, it also wont do outgoing calls but it gets incoming calls,the texts came in a couple minutes ago but they arent coming in again now..

BB Curve :: Numbers And Receiving SMS Text Messages?
Jul 12, 2011what happens with text/sms messages when your blackberry is stolen but you keep the same number.So, for example, my blackberry was stolen last week and I am due to receive a new one this week that will have the same phone number. If people have texted/sms'd me on that number during the week I had no phone, will I receive the texts messages? I imagine not since it will be a different Sim Card.

I also have lost the ability to send text messages and emails, as well.Tried removing the battery and resetting that way, and have also done a soft reboot per AT&T's instructions.AT&T has also reset my registration (or something like that) and have verified that nothing in my service plan has changed.

Today, for the last 4-5 hrs, I've been receiving numerous spam SMS msgs from 2 area codes in the Atlanta, GA area that are 3 different mobile numbers, and some of which are from the same repeating mobile number. May 15, 2012I had an iPhone 4s but left it on my car and drove off. Now I have activated a temporary phone my mom had on hand (Lotus) while I save up for a new iPhone.Is there a list out there in cyber space somewhere that lists all the iPhone numbers because now people who have iPhones send me blank text messages? I have been able to isolate this down to only happening when they send me an "iMessage" but I don`t understand why I keep getting them? Even people I had never texted with before losing my phone are sending me these blank messages. How do I fix this?

May 23, 2012Under messaging under settings, imessage is on..and it shows my phone number under recieve at....but when i text someone that has a iphone it goes thru as a imessage, when i text my boyfriend who also has iphone..it goes to regular texting...but when he replies back to me it goes imessage but with his apple id. How can i fix it to where only his phone number is imessage? is it his settings on his phone or mine? Under contacts i have to have two of him in my phone one for texting and the other for making a phone call.

Jun 11, 2012My wife and I both have an iphone 3gs. For a year or so everything worked great, but now whenever I text her she does not receive any notification (except for a split second small red notifier on the Messages icon) that the text has gone through. If she isn't looking at the Messages icon at that exact instant she wont' know I've texted her. She has to open up Messages and the text is then visible.Sometimes when we're texting each other the messages read as if I am texting myself.All of the texts are on the right side of the screen.And sometimes the phone says the text is coming from my phone when it's actually coming from her phone.This is a nuisance.When I need to send a text I'm not sure if it's being received or not.It seems like this problem started when I opened up my iCloud account.Nothing seems to fix it.Also, when my daughter uses her iPod Touch to text me it says it's coming from my wife. And, when she receives texts from her friends it comes to my phone in addition to her iPod Touch. Very confusing.No one at the Apple store could help. They just kind of pushed me along.

Jul 20, 2010I've had my X6 for about four months now and have never encountered any problems until the last 24 hours. When I recieve a text I am no longer alerted on the home screen and no noise will be made when I am on the 'General' profile. I can only see if i have recieved a text my going to messaging on the Menu and checking Inbox here. I am not alerted by an icon at the top of the screen either in the corner as i was before.

Sep 13, 2015I am having troubles with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925W8 running Android 5.1.1. Ever since I upgraded to 5.1.1 I have sometimes been unable to receive text messages. This never used to happen with the older version of software I ran when I first got my device, and it is becoming rather annoying.
At random times I cannot receive text messages, and I have found the only way to 'spur' my device to receive messages would be to sending one. But this can be rather tedious, because if I haven't received a text in a while I'm not sure if it's my phone acting up again (so I must send a random text to try and download the waiting texts) or I just genuinely have not received a text.
Galaxy S6 :: Receiving TWO Text Notification Sounds?
Aug 17, 2015I am using a standard Galaxy S6, just downloaded the update yesterday with Verizon. Ever since then whenever I get a text message I have been getting my standard text ringtone as well as my default notification sound.Not sure at all how to go about fixing this. Looked in settings but to no avail. Tried resetting phone but didn't do anything.I found out through some trial and error that the thing causing the text notification ringtone and the default notification to both ring is having vibration turned on for texts. Turned it off and the problem is resolved.
