basically my charging port wasnt working then got it repaired 2weeks later trying to charge my phone the charging icon says it charging so i left it to charge 1hour later it stays the same but the charging icon says it charging been going on for a while.

I've notice that with the Icon the light never goes out when the phone is fully charged. When I charge my 822 the light goes out when it's fully charged.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just updated last week to Gingerbread but this was happening before that. I plug my phone into my factory charger and when I go to unplug it it says it is still charging. Dosent go away until I reboot the phone, any ideas? When it is fully charged the green led even stays lit. Dosent do it all the time just enough to be annoying. I really dont want to trade my phone for a reconditioned one since it is only three weeks old.

-I have BB desk manager, have removed battery and replaced, purchased new battery, purchased new a/c cord.
-charging does not work via USB to PC, USB to Auto, USB to A/C.
any suggestions?
-Unit has never been wet, nor dropped.

there is no charging symbol to show my phone is charging , the battery life increases but no symbol , im using a wall socket inlet also tried the usb cable as well.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI misplaced my phone and the battery drained down to zero and shut itself off. I plugged it into charge about an hour ago (into a wall, not a computer). A red light came on for about thirty seconds and then shut off. The battery charging icon that is supposed to appear hasn't. I unplugged it and tried again a minute ago, and its the same thing. It doesn't turn on or show any sign of being responsive exept for that thirty seconds of solid red light.

The phone is recognsied by SE Companion but when I click on either of the 2 icons for support and media, nothing is installed and a message of "try again" pops up. However charging with the Nokia charger 1.8A is fine though. But, I remember it used to charge fine with most places, only recently I noticed the message showed up more frequently. Also, any app like Ampere on Android for windows phone? It is useful to see the actual amp during charging.

My Blackberry Bold shows the small letters CM over the battery icon when the charger is connected but it will not charge. I've tried removing the battery putting it back in, I've tried 3 chargers, but the battery just continued to drain until it finally went into red. I'm rooted with the stock ROM and Trinity Kernel (which I think may be the culprit, I'm not going to read 1,000 responses on a thread in a different forum to find out). To my problem: whenever the phone is off and plugged in my laptop's USB port or the travel/wall charger, the initial charging icon that shows the battery's level does not disappear. Today I tried to sideload the OTA update to Android 5.0.1 (because my Nexus is root and it would not let me update normally), but there was an error saying missing file in system.img. So, after that, I got stuck at Google logo screen. I entered stock recovery (I never installed a custom recovery) and wiped cache, with no luck. Did a data wipe. No luck. So I tried flashing the factory image for Android 5.0, but right after flashing the bootloader, the device turned off (or it appeared to), the script showed "waiting for device", and the phone never came back. Now it won't turn on at all. I don't know what to do ...

However it seems that any sms beyond a month old automatically turns blank and becomes a green icon. Am lost since a lot of personal smses have vanished, including Flight tkt details - a day before my flight too..
lately the smses have turned green just 3 weeks out.... am desperate... since I also get a Application Memory full message.. inspite of saving all pics and music files on a 4GB memory card.
I would have to switch to my previous Samsung phone otherwise, even though it lacks a lot of features like my current BB..
I take a daily backup thru BB Protect, but it doesnt makes things better.
The home button on my iPhone 4 wasn't working all night long for some strange reason. Then when the phone finally died it would not turn back on when plugged into the wall. The "charging" icon did not even show up! Holding the lock and home buttons does not work.

I use Sprint and everytime I miss a call the Messages icon appears and does not disappear until I open the messages folder and open the missed call message. This is incredibly annoying for me, as I usually just press the send key and see what calls I have missed. Doing this does not clear the messages icon or notification.
I really dont need missed calls sent to Messages, the only reason I ever use the Messages folder is to clear the icon from my screen.Can anyone help me either disable this icon or alter what is sent to Messages?

I have had the blackberry curve for a while now. I forgot to charge it and the battery got completely drained. I plugged it in the wall charger. The Red LED came on for about ten seconds, and then a picture of a battery charging appeared. 1 minute later, an image of a battery with a red line through it appeared. I left the phone to charge, thinking it would fix it. Even an overnight charge could not fix the problem. I took out the battery for 30 seconds, put it back in, and charged again, and the problem persisted. I also tried my USB charger and was still greeted with the same problem.
